We used it for a party with friends in Hakata, with 12 people for 2 hours of private rental. It was ¥5000 per person for all-you-can-drink. They served 6-7 different dishes from large plates, and we also enjoyed fresh and chewy sashimi. We had draft beer and shochu on the rocks. The homemade dishes by the landlady from Kumamoto were slightly sweet and delicious. It was a fun party with friends who usually go around food stalls.

This is a local izakaya in Nishishin. It's a cheap and delicious place. A must-order is the natto omelette. They have a daily menu written on a whiteboard, so it's good to choose from there. Everything is delicious. Also, if you order a bottle of shochu, it will be cheaper. It's fun to chat with the landlady and the female staff. I will definitely go back again.

I have not been asked by anyone, but I am promoting a restaurant in Nishijin on my own. Are the members of the local promotion association watching? (laughs) Today, I finally infiltrated the deep zone of Nishijin. There is a small restaurant called "Fuminosato," which is actually a small Japanese-style restaurant a 3-minute walk from the subway exit, although it is a bit far from the station. When you walk through the complex maze-like narrow alley, you will see a clean white curtain. "Is this it?" I opened the sliding door and entered the restaurant, which only had a counter. The counter was almost full on a weekday after 8 pm, and everyone was middle-aged men. The proprietress was a lovely woman who looked a bit like the entertainer Megumi Yasu at 50, and there was another energetic assistant who resembled Remi Hirano. Both women were very charming, and I could tell that the men were here for these two. The atmosphere was nice! Even though it was my first visit, I felt like saying, "Hey, proprietress! Listen to this story from work today!" I ordered a few dishes and waited while nibbling on some pickles. The sashimi included tuna, yellowtail, and scallops. In this kind of small Japanese-style restaurant, the atmosphere is important! Alright, let's have some sake! First, I had Higashizakura (Saga). It was crisp and went well with the dishes as always! The meat and tofu dish was excellent! The sweet and savory sauce with shredded beef and tofu was irresistible! The sake was going down smoothly! Next, I had Yuki no Bosha (Niigata). It's a well-known sake, delicious, and I'm starting to feel a bit tipsy. According to the proprietress, many of the customers at this restaurant are people on business trips. I see! This cozy hideaway seems to be a place for these "lonely tropical fish" on business trips to relax! This is definitely a restaurant where I, a local, will revisit!

After finishing some errands in Nishijin, I searched for a Japanese restaurant and ended up here. The restaurant is located in a narrow alley near Nishijin Station. The interior has only counter seats (about 12 seats) and is run by female staff members. My husband ordered a beer, and I ordered half a bottle of Yaezakura sake. On the counter, there were various dishes displayed, including oden and other daily specials. We were served with Goya champuru-style and edamame as appetizers. We ordered dishes like White Roll Cabbage, Taro, Pumpkin with Minced Meat, Salmon Collar Stew, Beef Curry with Harusame, and Fried Sardine with Shiso and Ume Plum. The food had a home-cooked taste, and the atmosphere was cozy. When we arrived, there was only one other customer, but the place quickly filled up with regulars, mostly male. The female staff members provided excellent service, making it a relaxing spot for men to enjoy affordable home-style cooking. Smoking is allowed.

Located in the convenient and comfortable town of Nishijin, where many single business travelers reside, this is a home-style restaurant with a variety of dishes that single men would enjoy. It is situated in a narrow alley called "Nishijin Katsutakamizu Dori" near the entrance of the Nishijin Shotengai. Despite being located near Nishijin Station on the subway, it is a hidden gem. When I entered, there were several elderly gentlemen sitting at the counter. In the kitchen behind the counter, there were two women. The large dishes lined up on the counter looked inviting. It was a cozy and warm atmosphere. I started with a draft beer and was served seaweed and bamboo shoot simmered in soy sauce and white miso as an appetizer. For someone who loves home-cooked meals, this was already a knockout. That day, I had already eaten, so I ordered some light snacks. The ham cutlet was round and filled with baby ham. The juicy ton teki was delicious, with tender meat and a tasty sweet and savory sauce. The sweet potato hot water was endless, as always. It was a delightful meal. Here is the menu. A few months later, I revisited the restaurant and found that the menu had changed slightly. I enjoyed a draft beer to start, and the appetizers were glass noodles in vinegar and fish curry stew. I tried the egg and fukuro dashi simmered in a large dish. It was a dish where eggs were stuffed inside fried tofu and simmered in dashi broth. The yellowtail head stew was delicious, and the beef stew potato gratin was like a dream come true. The beef stew with chunks of beef and potatoes topped with mashed potatoes and cheese was baked to perfection. It was like a shepherd's pie. The fried oyster and egg over rice bowl was another dream-like dish, with fried oysters and large crab sticks topped with egg. The gentle flavors were soothing. The restaurant also offers half-size portions for some dishes, which is great for single business travelers or those with small appetites. It's a welcoming restaurant for those looking for a homey atmosphere in Nishijin.

It is located in Nishi-Shin Chuo Shopping Street. There is a narrow passage through a building where Katsutaka Suigami is located. If you keep going there, you will find a small Japanese-style restaurant with a gentle atmosphere, with dim lights and a curtain. It looks elegant and a bit intimidating... One day, I gathered my courage and jumped in. It's a cozy little eatery run by a kind lady who feels like a caring mother or older sister. The customers are mostly single men living alone, but they all seem well put together. It's a comforting place I discovered. They serve two appetizers as a starter. The dishes are like home-cooked meals with a little extra touch. There are no flashy or extravagant dishes, but it's perfect for winding down after work with some food and drinks. Each dish is just right. I'm happy that they are open even on Sundays when many other places are closed. I find myself visiting this place regularly.
