A traditional diner located in the Tsurumi Hashi shopping street. The front display case showcases a variety of bento boxes, rice bowls, omurice, sushi, and more. The interior has only table seating with six tables for four people each. There is a large monitor TV installed. Near the entrance, there is a small counter, which may have been used for takeout in the past. I like the nostalgic atmosphere of this place. The walls have a whiteboard with the menu written on it. While they offer dishes like curry, they do not have ramen. In a diner, I prefer when the side dishes are displayed in a showcase for self-service, but that was not the case here. I ordered the tempura bento for 900 yen. Inside the box, there were octopus and whitebait sunomono, and cold tofu. The tempura included 2 prawns, eggplant, sweet potato, pumpkin, and shiitake mushrooms. The batter on the tempura was on the thicker side, which I also enjoyed. The meal also came with simmered fish cake and a rolled omelet as side dishes. If I have the chance, I would like to try their rice bowls and noodle dishes. Thank you for the meal.

I happened to discover this restaurant while looking for a place to have lunch on my bicycle. The exterior looked very appealing to me, especially with the slightly run-down atmosphere at the end of the Tsurumi Bridge shopping street. I couldn't resist checking it out! I ordered the tempura and egg rice bowl and the omurice. Honestly, I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. The tempura and egg rice bowl was delicious! The flavorful broth combined with crispy tempura and creamy egg was irresistible. The omurice had a unique sauce that I thought would be sour based on its appearance, but it was actually mild and tasty. I found out that they are closed on Sundays and occasionally have temporary closures, so I'll have to keep that in mind. I'm glad I stumbled upon this great restaurant. I am not sure if I can call myself someone with hobbies, but I enjoy going to antique shops to look at old things. I prefer old buildings and items! The only exception is that I like new things when it comes to women (lol). However, I only seem to get along with older women. When I arrive at the antique shop, it's either closed or on a break. So, I end up starting with a drink at a nearby cool izakaya! (⌒▽⌒)

It is located just before the Tamade Supermarket at the back of Tsurumi Hashi Shotengai. I had been curious about it for a while, but it seemed too prestigious to enter. Whenever I peeked from outside, there were always customers inside during lunchtime. I thought it must be delicious, so I gathered my courage and went in. There were many flyers posted outside, so I ordered the katsudon. I couldn't take a photo of the katsudon in front of other customers, but it was really well done. The sweet sauce was plentiful, and the freshly fried cutlet was tasty. The side pickles that came with it were also delicious. It seems that rice bowl dishes are popular, as other customers were eating oyakodon, hitokodan, and more. There were also options like yakiniku set meals and sushi, and the restaurant was bustling. The service wasn't exceptional, but as I was leaving, I remembered the warm "thank you" from a mother. It's definitely worth a visit.

I found this restaurant while strolling around the Tsurumi Hashi Shotengai. It is located next to the supermarket Tamade. At first glance, it looks like a typical teishoku restaurant, but on the other side, they also serve sushi... Anyway, it's a shop with a lot of history. The interior feels like it's from the Showa era. There are quite a few older ladies here, but no men. I ordered an omurice for 550 yen and a kinoha-don for 500 yen. They don't seem to have udon or anything like that. After a few minutes of waiting, the kinoha-don arrived with a sweet aroma. It seemed to be made with plenty of fresh ingredients like bamboo shoots. The texture was good, and the sweetness was pleasant, not overwhelming. The omurice was a bit spicy, but the sauce was tasty, and the omlette itself was delicious. Overall, the balance of flavors was good. I was a bit sick, so it was hard to judge the saltiness, but the miso soup that came with the don was also delicious. The prices were reasonable. I would come back again if I have the chance.
