In September of the 5th year of Reiwa, the operating hours are from 11:00 to 22:00. The Sushi and Tempura Set Meal costs 1188 yen including tax. It includes a platter of 7 pieces of sushi, assorted tempura, a side dish, and soup, making it a delicious set meal that can be ordered even in the evening. In terms of cost performance, the sushi platter alone costs 880 yen, so essentially you are paying an extra 308 yen to get the tempura platter, side dish, and soup, making it a good deal.

The restaurant had a rating of 3.27 on Tabelog, so I decided to go there for drinks for the first time. We started with the "Choi-nomi set" of conger eel tempura (with a small dish) and a draft beer for 715 yen. My companion ordered the "Choi-nomi set DX" with a draft beer for 880 yen. The dishes were all average. The fried horse mackerel had a nostalgic taste to it. The sushi had good quality toppings. We also ordered two highballs, a bottle of Yama no Kami sake, and squid tempura for an additional cost, and the total bill came to 4,961 yen including tax. I think it's a cheap and delicious restaurant.

I finally visited this chain izakaya that I had been curious about. It was located in MIO, so it was cleaner and brighter than other branches, giving off an open atmosphere. The service was very friendly, and when I ordered the regular pickles, the waitress recommended the day's special lightly pickled eggplant, which was delicious! However, the salt-grilled chicken I also ordered was surprisingly tough. I might try a different branch next time.

I went out for lunch with a friend after a long time. We were looking for a place to eat around 11:30, and we stumbled upon this restaurant with a photo outside that caught our eye. A friendly waiter took our order, and we decided on a sushi and tempura set meal. We also added a miso soup for an extra 150 yen, which we exchanged for udon noodles. As we waited for our food, I noticed that almost everyone in the restaurant was having lunch with a drink, which explained why they didn't bring us tea even though they mentioned it. Despite that, the sushi, freshly fried tempura, and hot udon noodles were delicious and satisfying.

You can easily use it alone as there are counter seats available. The deluxe course includes 4 dishes, grilled items, fried items, bonito sashimi, and meat. The main focus is on fish, making it feel healthy. The fried horse mackerel was crispy and delicious. For 1100 yen, it's not bad at all.

Grilled fish set meal x1. Soup changed to small udon. Comes with a small side dish. Rice is all-you-can-eat. Paid with points as I had accumulated mio points.

I went to "Osaka Abeno Akano Ren" on the 4th floor of Tennoji MIO Plaza building for lunch. The place was crowded with customers enjoying their drinks at lunchtime. I felt a bit envious as I looked at the menu. Nevertheless, I decided to order the "Beef Kalbi Set Meal." Since it's an izakaya, I had some expectations for the taste, but the beef kalbi was delicious. The meat was quite thick with a good chewy texture and tender. The fat was just right and melted in my mouth. It paired perfectly with the white rice. It's been a while since I've had such delicious meat at an izakaya.

I went there after 7 PM. They have dinner sets available, so it was perfect for dining alone. I had the sushi and tempura set with soba for 1,210 yen, and a large bottle of lager for 605 yen. I paid for two items in total, which came to 2,508 yen. The sushi, tempura, and soba were all delicious. Thank you for the meal!

The lunch at Akanoren with eel bowl was delicious and affordable. Even the half portion of the special eel bowl was satisfying. Eel is typically associated with summer, but they seem to serve it regularly now. The lunch at Akaden offers great value for money. Thank you for the meal!

2020: Revisited after 8 years! It's been a while since I last came here. Before, it seemed like most people were drinking during the day (lol) and it was quite lively. But it looks like it has been renovated and now it's clean and the service is polite. There were cheerful greetings coming from the kitchen. Seafood bowl set for 880 yen including tax. The seafood bowl was huge! It had big conger eel, 3 sweet shrimp, tuna, octopus, yellowtail, and squid, all with plenty of toppings. Also had cold tofu and red miso soup. Other lunch menu items are reasonably priced and you can relax here. This might be a hidden gem!

Second time having lunch at Akano Ren! Today, I had chirashi sushi. In the middle, there was a big piece of eel! The rice portion was a bit small, but it was just right for me. There was plenty of seafood... although I noticed there were no shiitake mushrooms or egg, is this really chirashi sushi...? Haha, it could also be considered a seafood rice bowl with vinegar rice... haha Well, regardless, it was delicious and only cost 800 yen. Good value for money. Thank you for the meal!

I went to a restaurant at Tennoji Mio Plaza with my friends for lunch and ended up having a drink as well! I was happy to see that we could order both lunch and small dishes. It was a very hot day, so we cheers with a cold beer! They also had great deals on alcohol sets, which was perfect for drinking and eating during the day. There was a special promotion that day, with discounted sake available. The sparkling sake was easy to drink and delicious! Thanks to that, we were able to relax and enjoy our time there.

Red Noren is a famous chain izakaya (Japanese pub) known for their lunch menu. I didn't know that the location inside Mio was the main store. While some people were enjoying day drinking, they also offer lunch sets. Today, I had the stamina-boosting unagi (eel) bowl for only 800 yen. The amount of unagi was a bit thin, but considering the price, it was very reasonable. The sauce was delicious and the rice was tasty. In addition to the bowl, it also came with miso soup and liver, making it a great deal for 800 yen. I'm interested in trying their ten-don (tempura rice bowl) and chirashi sushi next time. It was delicious.

This is a large izakaya located on the 4th floor of the Tennoji Mio Plaza building directly above JR Tennoji Station. The restaurant is part of a chain that also has locations in Abeno Q's Mall and Abeno Chika in the Abeno-Tennoji area. The lunch menu offers three options: sushi set meal, tempura set meal, and Matsukado set meal, each priced at 1,100 yen. I opted for the Matsukado set meal, which was served promptly. The meal consisted of a bento box with sections for sashimi, tempura, simmered dish, and grilled dish, along with rice, miso soup, and pickles. The tempura had a light, crispy batter and was served with a flavorful dipping sauce. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, and the simmered dish and grilled dish were also well-prepared. Despite the casual atmosphere of the restaurant, the food was elegantly presented and the staff were friendly and attentive. With the price being around 1,000 yen before tax, it felt like a good deal. It's worth noting that the restaurant has smoking and non-smoking sections, and it will be interesting to see how they adapt to the upcoming smoking regulations in April 2020.

I stopped by for a quick drink and ordered a variety of dishes from the extensive menu. It's great for drinking little by little! The prices are reasonable, and the thin sushi rolls are delicious with beer. It has a nostalgic atmosphere like an old-fashioned izakaya, which is very relaxing. I would love to go back for drinks again!

I entered the MIO restaurant located above Tennoji Station while waiting for the train. This restaurant does not offer appetizers. I ordered the recommended dish, which is bean curd mixed with miso, and it was served quickly. The tofu miso pickle costs 400 yen, which I found a bit pricey for my liking, so I probably won't order it again. The kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers) costs 450 yen, which I also felt was a bit expensive for what it was. The taste of the skewers was average. The deep-fried water eggplant dish was flavorful with a crispy texture, and I would rate it as good. I had two beers, and the total bill came to around 2200 yen.

The specialty is scattered sushi for 1500 yen including tax. Additionally, I changed to red miso soup and mini bukkake soba (+200 yen). Non-smoking. It took about 10 minutes until the food was served. Is scattered sushi basically chirashi sushi? There are also some high-quality ingredients. The mini bukkake soba was delicious in a normal way. I was expecting "cheap and filling" for an izakaya lunch, but it was slightly different. Thank you for the meal.

It's an izakaya, but they also have a wide variety of set meals and tatami seating, making it a great place for children to relax. Above all, the staff were incredibly friendly and amazing.
