I bought some popcorn for Halloween, which also doubles as a gravel countermeasure for the neighborhood. The popcorn is called "Ash Dust and the Seven Keys of the Wise Men of the Underworld". I'm thinking of chanting it just in case. The shop is cute and not a place where livestock would wander in, but there are creepy cats and egg monsters in that world, so it might be good. However, the customers are mainly elementary and middle school girls and their mothers. The food options include candy, popcorn, and cookies. There are also large candies, known as "lick candies". The drinks available are original cider and tea packets, with coffee also on offer. I wasn't very interested in the accessories in the back room, like pearls for pigs. So, I bought some popcorn and a fortune cookie for fun. Come on, come on, come on, come on, baby. Well, if you feel like it, why not give it a try? If you don’t know where you are going any road will get you there.

Passing by the front of the store on a bike, I happened to find a unique shop. There was a line of young girls, but when I visited on a weekday afternoon, I was able to enter without waiting. There were still two security guards, so the topic was understandable. This concept shop is themed after Alice in Wonderland, cute and a little mysterious. There were three stores nationwide in Nagoya, Osaka, and Tokyo, and this time, it seems that they are making their first landing in Kyushu! The entrance is a small door. When you bend down to enter, it feels like you've wandered into Wonderland... a bit reminiscent of Tokyo Disneyland. After just 3-4 steps, you enter the store. There are about 2,000 types of sweets, accessories, and fashion goods featuring Alice, and there are fun gimmicks scattered throughout the store. There are four doors waiting for you. Among the strange doors lined up, find the entrance and wander into Wonderland... a delight for girls. The first place you arrive at is the Queen Alice's Room. Colorful sweets are lined up. I was torn between which ones to buy, and ended up with mixed popcorn and mushroom cookies. The mixed popcorn is colorful, beautiful, sweet and sour, and delicious. When I checked the flavors on the food label, it turned out they were all artificial colors (sweat). The cookies are also in colors I've never seen before. There are also colorful mini sodas and honey cookies. The main part of the store is the Banquet Hall. Here, cute goods are lined up, and there is quite a crowd. Peeking through the keyhole, you can see the glowing eyes of the Cheshire Cat, and the "card soldiers" supporting the table are all popular characters from Wonderland. In addition, there are many new secrets that can only be found here... I didn't notice at all. It seems to be more focused on goods rather than food. With over 20 gimmicks scattered throughout the store, it seems like you can enjoy it like a theme park.

Alice on Wednesday is a concept shop specializing in Alice in Wonderland, located in the Daimyo area just a step away from the center of Fukuoka City, Tenjin. There are 3 stores in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Fukuoka, all of which are very popular and often have long lines on weekends. It seems that reservations are sometimes required as well. I was lucky to enter without waiting in line on this day, but there was a guard standing at the small entrance. Inside is truly an Alice world, like Disneyland. The shop is divided into three rooms, with the first being the sweets corner. They have baked goods, drinks, candy, marshmallows, and gift packs that would make great presents or souvenirs. I purchased a few items such as the "Drink me" cider, jewel candy, and book-shaped "Eat me" cookies. The Drink me cider is based on a drink in Alice's original story, with cotton candy flavor which is quite interesting. There were other colors available, I wonder if they have different flavors too? The candy is sparkly and has a nice perfume-like scent. The cookies are simple but delicious. This concept shop captures the hearts of girls and is loved all over the world for its unique and mysterious Alice in Wonderland theme. Lewis Carroll, the original author, probably never imagined such creations. The quirky and unique sweets were fun to look at and the shop also has a lot of cute accessories. They mentioned that they do not offer gift wrapping, but they provide extra bags for that purpose. If you are nearby, it's worth stopping by to check it out.
