I had been curious about this restaurant for a while. It's a small izakaya located on the first floor of a building near AEON Onojo store in Nishikicho, Onojo City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The sign in front of the store indicated that they also sell bento boxes. I finally decided to visit one day during lunchtime on a weekday. The owner, a woman in her early 50s, was the only one there. The interior was small with a few counter seats and tables. They offered various bento boxes for takeout, such as salted salmon, salted mackerel, fried white fish, fried chicken, omurice, and curry, all at unbelievably low prices. I purchased a salted mackerel bento for 400 yen. The owner kindly asked if I wanted to eat there, so I decided to dine in. I paid upfront for the bento, and she prepared hot tea for me. There were no condiments on the table. Under the salted mackerel in the bento, I found spaghetti. The salted mackerel was perfectly seasoned, and I didn't even need soy sauce. The rice in the bento was delicious, even when slightly cold, and the konjac, carrots, and green beans were tasty. A piece of fried chicken was placed on top of the mackerel, along with simmered komatsuna and boiled beans. The overall presentation was fantastic. The portion size might be a bit small for men, but it's perfect for women looking for a satisfying meal during their lunch break. It seemed like a popular spot for nearby office ladies to grab a quick meal. The owner was busy working in the kitchen during my visit, likely preparing for the evening. I'm glad I found this convenient and affordable restaurant.

At the Ono City Hall 1F shop, in addition to the bento boxes from contracted vendors, they also sell bento boxes from nearby restaurants. After the state of emergency was lifted, the number of restaurants selling bento boxes was reduced to 2. I purchased a bento box from Mrs. Mayoyo's, who offers 3 different types of bento boxes. There are 6 total options as they offer both pilaf and white rice. Each bento box costs 500 yen including tax. I bought the pilaf with meatballs. The meatballs were like small hamburg steaks, and they tasted delicious with the demi-glace sauce.
