This is the café called Koya located on the left side of Kushida Shrine. They have a terrace where you can enjoy a warm coffee even in February. The coffee is aromatic and tastes great. They also offer sets with Japanese sweets, but today I only had coffee.

I head towards Kushida Shrine to watch the Oiyama of Hakata Gion Yamakasa, but it's quite crowded. When I reach the Hakata Traditional Crafts Museum, it's already 4:40 AM and I think I can't move any further. However, I spot two empty seats at the cafe corner. They are offering a special menu for the Oiyama event. My husband orders the Yamakasa Special beer for 1000 yen, while I opt for the Organic Coffee for 450 yen. My husband enjoys his special beer with some snacks, while I savor my iced coffee with a complimentary rice cracker. It's a small joy in the midst of the bustling crowd.

With my partner, we went for a walk to see the Hakata Illumination after a long time. After visiting Kushida Shrine and watching projection mapping at Reisen Elementary School, we were about to head back when we passed by "Hakata Traditional Crafts Museum" and saw a sign saying "Beer Set 500 yen." We couldn't resist and decided to stop by. I had visited casually before, but I didn't realize there was a café space. The set included canned beer, Mozuku vinegar, pickles, cooked lotus root, and some kind of fish. It was a great snack set for 500 yen. Maybe it's a special menu for events.
