2021: Revisiting in September♪ On a Sunday afternoon when the autumn breeze was blowing, I decided to have a leisurely picnic with my dad at Hanazono Park! As always, it was very popular and the staff member in charge was very reliable~ (*^-^*) ★ Bento Box A for 980 yen including tax♪ A classic combination of hamburger, shrimp fry, croquette, boiled cabbage, tomato pasta, namasu, simmered dried daikon radish, and rolled omelette! The hamburger here is delicious and filling!◎ Potato salad for 180 yen♪ I don't know if I'll be able to watch high school rugby this winter, but the bento boxes from Moritaya are timeless~ (*^-^*)

Kawachiya doesn't eat much yakiniku. I don't eat beef yakiniku much. I have sukiyaki once or twice a year. I rarely have shabu-shabu. Occasionally, I'll have sliced loin seasoned with salt and pepper. When Kawachiya decides to eat yakiniku, we always go to the same place. It's "Niku no Moritaya," which is directly managed by the same company. We usually order the same thing: - Top loin x2 - Uchihira x1 - Kainomi x1 - Tsubo karubi x2 - Umi no mi x1 - Harami x1 - Namul x1 - Oolong tea x2 - Large white rice x1 - Small white rice x1 This totals around 8,500 yen. The quality of the meat is quite good. We eat uchihira with wasabi soy sauce, which is delicious. However, I haven't been as impressed lately. I used to think it was better. Still, I believe it's better than other yakiniku restaurants in the area. I'm not interested in exploring new places.

2019:12 revisit♪ The excitement of the Rugby World Cup in 2019 was amazing! As someone married to a passionate rugby fan, I was very happy about it, but personally, I love high school rugby with all my heart. And the perfect companion for that is... of course, Moritaya's bento! (*^^*) His★ A lunch bento♪ Hamburg steak, fried shrimp, croquette, rolled omelette, spaghetti, kinpira, simmered bamboo shoot, daikon radish in vinegar, broccoli, and sausage - a generous spread! The hamburg steak and croquette here are delicious! (^^)! Mine★ Makunouchi bento♪ Same as A lunch but with grilled salmon instead of hamburg steak (lol) - Moritaya never disappoints, it's so comforting~ (*^-^*)

Croquette! For me, this is the most delicious croquette anywhere. It's the best when it's hot and freshly fried! I've been eating it for about 20 years now. Thank you for the meal!

Hanazono Shopping Street, with Hanazono Koen Station as the nearest station. Tonight, I ordered my favorite "Imo Kushi" as a side dish for my wife, but... it was sold out. The Imo Kushi here is delicious, so I was really disappointed. I bought 2 croquettes for 75 yen each. It seems like there is a little less minced meat in the croquettes from Moritaya. I also bought 1 tonkatsu for 226 yen, which seemed a bit thin. The shrimp (small) for 108 yen was really small. The batter from Moritaya has the same unique flavor, which was good. Oh, by the way, the correct name of this place is "Niku no Moritaya Hanazono-ten."

In August 2016, with a rating of 3.17 out of 5 from 5 reviews, Hokka Benya's special bento is known for their shrimp fry. However, this place is a meat shop, so the special ingredient was croquette instead. The options include: Hamburg Bento for ¥600, Special Hamburg for ¥720, Croquette for around ¥70. I was hoping for shrimp fry, but ended up with croquette. The taste was okay, but maybe I expected too much. Meat is good, but when it comes to bento, it's better to stick to traditional bento shops. I'll try the meat bento next time. Thank you for the meal!

Kawauchiya is here~ I visited after a long time. It seems that the 20% discount on Mondays has been discontinued at this shop. However, it is still cheap. I tried salted tongue, top loin, uchihira, kainomi, jar kalbi, and top mino this time. I don't usually order salted tongue, but it was delicious. The top loin is sweet, with a hint of sweetness from the fat. Uchihira is delicious with minced wasabi and soy sauce. Kainomi is tender and allows you to enjoy different cuts. Top mino is unique to Kawauchiya. I also had a special grilled meat bowl using jar kalbi and uchihira with minced wasabi. It was delicious. It's a shame that the Monday discount service is gone, but the food is still delicious. Kawauchiya is here~ Yes, my wife returned from Kagoshima, so we came to this shop. It's still cheap and delicious. Kainomi, uchihira, and jar pickled kalbi are highly recommended. I don't drink alcohol here. I just order oolong tea and focus on eating. Anyway, I will only be drinking during the business trip, so I came here to eat properly before that. It was my first visit on a Monday. And on this Monday, I learned the real nature of this shop... I won't be eating properly during the business trip, just drinking. My wife, who will be alone during my business trip, is busy organizing the leftovers in the refrigerator. So tonight, I came here with the determination to eat until the smell of meat fills my stomach and throat. Yes, I don't drink alcohol at this shop. It's a waste. I don't want to end the enjoyment of delicious Wagyu beef with alcohol. I grill the meat, eat it heartily, and then eat it with white rice. My mouth gets greasy with fat as I eat. I ordered uchihira, kainomi, marushin, top loin, and top mino. And then I ordered uchihira and marushin again. A plate of namul and two cups of oolong tea. The owner brought out a little bit of "grilled shabu" (it's a service...) It was amazing! This shop, in terms of price, is about 70% of what you would expect at a normal, so-called "normal" shop. That alone is incredible. I know of a slightly more delicious place. But the price there is three times higher. It's normal for expensive places to be delicious, right? And the truth I learned today about this shop... even though it's already so cheap, there's an additional 20% discount on Mondays. Eating all this for two people costs just over 5,000 yen. Truly amazing, truly amazing.

Camate~ Camate~ Kaora~ (All Blacks "Haka") For the people of Higashi Osaka, croquettes mean Mori danya! And... when it comes to favorite sports, it's rugby at Hanazono! So... watching rugby with Mori danya bento - (kyaa!) The match between the New Zealand student team and the Kansai student team - Uncle bought me this bento, I don't know the price, but he was very angry that the "Rugby Bento" became 1100 yen (short-tempered, haha) - His: Hamburg Bento in the 800 yen range (laughs) - Mine: Healthy Bento in the 500 yen range. The hearty shrimp fry and lots of side dishes make me very happy! The meaty hamburger is also good! Sitting in the main stadium, with the mountains of Ikoma and the green grass, and a pleasant breeze - there's Mori danya bento and sake! Laughing with the old man over silly stories - I hope this happiness continues forever!

From Kintetsu Hanazono Station, head east. Here at "Morita," a udon restaurant located between Hyotan-yama and Hanazono, several shops are mainly focused on yakiniku (Japanese BBQ). While the popular choice may be the "meat udon," I opted for the yakiniku. The grilled meat is served on a plate, and it was delicious with a sweet marinade. Hanazono is becoming more lively with rugby games and even the pro basketball team, Evessa, coming to the area. There's also talk about women's professional baseball. Looking forward to the excitement in Hanazono!

The yakiniku set comes in three levels: Matsu, Take, and Ume. I once ordered the Ume set for just over 2,000 yen and was surprised to find it included cuts of meat like upper loin and special belly, which seemed higher quality than expected. The Take set is priced at 3,150 yen and is a great deal as it includes horumon, chisha, grilled vegetables, and similar quality meat to the Ume set. My friend and I always order one set together, which costs around 2,000 yen per person. We sometimes add additional premium cuts of meat or recommended items, which brings the total to around 3,000 to 4,000 yen per person. The kimchi set with three varieties is also delicious, with a sweet and not too sour oi kimchi. The lunch menu offers affordable options like beef udon, hamburger lunch for 840 yen, beef curry for 580 yen, and more. In the area, there are about four yakiniku restaurants, but this one, run by a butcher, is the most delicious.

On August 17th, I visited Moritaya for the first time in 2 months. In my previous review, I gave it 4 stars for quality and 5 stars for cost performance. However, this time I would rate it 3 stars. The quality of the meat is still high, but the portions have become significantly smaller. Even though the meat is good, it's not as satisfying as before. It seems like they may have adjusted their costs. I used to visit every 2 months, but now I'm considering trying out new places. However, Moritaya still stands out for the quality of their meat. I hope they can increase the thickness and quantity of the meat a bit more. I have been a regular customer since before they moved locations. They offer good quality meat that is worth more than the price. The satisfaction you get from eating there is unmatched. It used to be quiet when they first opened, but now it's quite busy. It's a mix of happiness and nostalgia. I have already made a reservation to visit again this month. Looking forward to it!

Visited Nagoya, Amagasaki, and Higashi-Osaka for a day trip business meeting. After finishing the meeting in Higashi-Osaka, I took the opportunity to visit Moritaya for their croquettes, as it is the city where I spent my childhood to junior high school. The shopping street south of Kintetsu Hanazono Station has widened compared to the past, and it was nice to see that there is parking available. I bought 6 beef croquettes. On my way back to Nagoya, I had dinner with my wife and son, enjoying the croquettes. My 2-year-old son kept saying how delicious they were. It was his first time trying croquettes, and Moritaya's croquettes truly have a magical deliciousness that even tastes good when cold. Absolutely amazing!
