I entered Sukiya in front of Umeyashiki Station for the first time. I decided to try the Cheese Gyudon lunch since it was listed as the most popular on the menu. The set included Cheese Gyudon, miso soup, salad, and a raw egg for 670 yen, which was a great deal. The Cheese Gyudon had a lot of cheese on top, so the cheese aroma overpowered the taste of the beef bowl, which I personally didn't like. I think the regular Gyudon might be the best after all.

On September 4th, just like any other day, I was taking it easy when I realized time had flown by. So, I decided to visit Sukiya Umejyuku Station Higashi store. I raised a toast with a bottled beer and ordered a dish called "Mapo Plate". I thought it would be spicy, but it wasn't at all. Even when I added the accompanying Sichuan pepper spice, it still wasn't spicy. For lunch, I had the eel and beef combo and the sardine meatball soup. Let's dig in! First, I tried the eel. Yum, the sauce is a bit spicier than Yoshinoya's. I also ordered the beef combo, but maybe I should have just stuck with the eel. The rice has a decent amount of sauce on it. As for the sardine meatball soup, it's not bad either. But when it comes to eel, I think I prefer it in a clear broth. Overall, I wish eel was a regular menu item everywhere.

When I entered the store, I found a vending machine on the right side. I purchased a ticket for a regular beef bowl and a raw egg as a light lunch. As soon as the ticket came out, the staff called out from the counter, saying, "We will let you know when it's ready." Oh, they will call out when it's ready. I wish I had noticed that then. After sitting at the counter for a few minutes, I was called out and handed a beef bowl and raw egg in a plastic bag. Are they for takeout? Did I buy the wrong ticket? I informed the staff that they mistakenly made it for takeout, and I was allowed to eat inside the store. It felt strange to eat in the store with a styrofoam container. I don't remember much due to embarrassment, but the beef bowl was still delicious as always.

I went to the "Sukiya Ume-yashiki Higashi Store" in Ota-ku, Tokyo. It is located right by Keikyu Ume-yashiki Station, along the Daiichi Keihin. I tried the lunch special of Gyudon (beef bowl) from 11:00 to 14:00, which costs only 500 yen including tax. The set includes salad, miso soup, raw egg, and a regular size Gyudon. It was a good deal with the set for an additional 80 yen. However, I was surprised by how small the regular size Gyudon was at Sukiya. The taste was consistent, but I felt it lacked in portion size. Overall, it was a decent meal.

I feel like there are some hits and misses with the gyudon at Sukiya.

When it comes to Ume-yashiki, it's Sukiya! Every time I come to Ume-yashiki, I always go to Sukiya.

Three consecutive business trips to Sukiya for sukiyaki bowls - delicious, but eating it three times in two days is too much. However, it's close by and always empty. Thank you.

It's convenient to have a Sukiya near the construction site, I can come anytime, which is great. Sometimes I feel like having curry.

Umeshiro at midnight! No place to go, so I went to Sukiya! Even though I had lunch earlier, I just had the large serving of Sanma beef bowl! Since I love Sanma, it was quite delicious.
