The staff is friendly and quick to respond to orders and requests for photos. The middle of the restaurant is standing-room only, with group tables surrounding it. This atmosphere is also stylish. Lunch meeting with company colleagues. A new restaurant that opened in the place where an Italian restaurant called Cafe Sele used to be, often used for location shoots in the past. No waiting even during lunchtime. Although the hamburger was recommended, I really like chicken, so I ordered the Crispy Beer Chicken for 1100 yen without rice or bread. The taste was like what you would expect from a beer hall, but it was quite nice that free drinks were included! They even have hot coffee, so it's very convenient for when you want to relax and chat after eating!

I have been to Schmatz Beer Dining in Tsukiji/East Ginza and the one in Naka-Meguro before, but this branch has a spacious and liberating atmosphere with a great vibe! The lunch demi-cheese hamburger and sausages were delicious!

I made a reservation for the 5500 yen course at 7:00 PM. I had reserved a terrace seat, but due to the unexpected heat, the staff kindly offered us a temporary indoor seat where we could enjoy in a cooler environment. The food was delicious, although the portions were small. And of course, the beer was great! I was able to fully enjoy German beer. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Visited a bar to catch up with old friends after a long time. We chose a place where we could just have beer without any complications. We planned to order a course meal after checking on Tabelog, but found out that reservations were required in advance. We were a bit disappointed but decided to move on. We looked at the menu and each ordered a beer, along with salads and various sausages for snacks. The ordering process was person-to-person for the first round, but then we were able to order using our smartphones, which was convenient. The beers were all great, as expected from a specialty shop. The sausages in particular paired well with the beer and were delicious. If you plan on drinking quite a bit, it's worth reserving the course meal in advance for a better deal.

I made a reservation for a premium all-you-can-drink course for my husband who loves beer. It was quite expensive, but wow! All-you-can-drink up to black beer, amazing! There were also sweet banana-flavored beer and sours available. The food was not great, but oh well. The sausages were delicious. As of July 2023, black beer is no longer available for all-you-can-drink.

In recent years, I have been quite fond of Schmatz and have visited various Schmatz locations, but this was my first time at this restaurant. I didn't even realize it was here. It is located at the top of the wide staircase in Ginza Matsuya Square, giving it a unique sense of openness. I was seated by the staircase, which added to that feeling. The menu seems to vary from place to place, and this restaurant had a great selection of wines (although I only had beer that day). The beer was delicious, and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, which felt like a pub in Germany or Hungary. I ordered my favorite currywurst and Hungarian-style beef cheek goulash soup that day and had a great time. However, the large portion of potatoes that came with it was too much for one person to finish (^^;; Thanks for the meal!

I stopped by for lunch after golf practice. During lunchtime, they offered complimentary iced coffee, iced tea, hot coffee, and hot tea. I ordered the hamburger with grated sauce lunch and the crispy chicken lunch. They were both very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Last time I couldn't take a photo because I was having lunch with the president, so I revisited the restaurant for lunch and ordered the Garlic Pork (150g) for ¥1,100. It was deep-fried pork loin with fried garlic and butter. The sauce was also really good, and surprisingly, the cabbage cooked on the hot plate was delicious. I didn't need to order the 300g portion, as it was filling enough with less rice.

Today's lunch adventure took me to the area around Higashi-Ginza Station. From exit 5 of the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line Higashi-Ginza Station, I walked towards Harumi Street. After a short walk in the direction of Harumi, I arrived at Tsukiji Matsuzaka Building, located right next to the first left turn on the street (with the Tsukiji bus stop right in front). Inside the building, on the second floor, is where I visited "Schmatz Beer Dining Ginza Matsuzaka Square" today. Arriving at the restaurant around 12:50 on a weekday, I found myself without a specific lunch destination. Upon entering the building, I noticed a menu for the restaurant on the first floor, and decided to try their hamburg steak. I climbed the stairs to the second floor, where a male staff member guided me to a table on the right side of the entrance. He explained that I could place my order using the barcode on my smartphone and that water service was self-service, located at the central table. I scanned the barcode on my phone and ordered the "Hamburg Steak Lunch (Red Wine Demi-Glace)." Within a minute, a salad was served. I then went to get some water and iced coffee from the self-service station. After about 4 minutes, the "Homemade Hamburg Steak with Red Wine Demi-Glace" was presented. The dish consisted of a juicy and tender handmade hamburger steak topped with a rich red wine demi-glace sauce, served with mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, and rice. The hamburger steak was flavorful and well-cooked, complemented perfectly by the sweet and savory sauce. The mashed potatoes were smooth and delicious, while the sauerkraut added a refreshing touch to the meal. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

On the way back from Toho Square, I didn't have much time so I decided to have lunch at the beer bar on the 2nd floor of the entrance! The spacious area had a wide selection of German beers and lunch menu items that seemed to go well with beer. I ordered the beef curry with fried chicken and German beer. The European-style curry had a nice balance of spices and a rich flavor from the beer, complemented by the beef. The fried chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the sauerkraut added a nice tanginess to the meal. The colorful side salad was a nice touch, and the self-serve free drinks made for a relaxed dining experience. I also got a drink to go on my way out, which would be handy for a lunch meeting. Despite its unassuming appearance, I plan to come back for a casual drink after work next time. Let's have a beer for now!

Located on the top of the large staircase of the building across from "To-geki" theater, this shop was discovered after developing a taste for craft beer following a dislike of Sapporo Draft beer. With a total of 8 types of craft beers, each one stands out and tastes delicious! The accompanying dishes are also excellent. While German beer is often paired with sausages, this shop goes beyond that with options like foie gras and sauerkraut that pair perfectly with the beer. Although beer cocktails and regular cocktails are available, the beer was so delicious that there was no need to try anything else. Therefore, beer lovers should definitely visit this shop.

I had lunch with a friend at a German beer dining restaurant on the second floor of a building on the main street of Higashi Ginza. We sat on the terrace with a nice view and my friend ordered homemade hamburgers while I ordered German-style cutlets with sausages. The spacious interior allows you to freely drink coffee and other beverages. The tender cutlets with sausages had an authentic taste and were delicious. It seems like a popular beer hall during the summer.

Craft beer and German cuisine chain restaurant, located at the top of the grand staircase in Ginza Matsuya Square, has an amazing location! You can enjoy the spacious and stylish atmosphere from the open space, with a view from above. The lunch menu is surprisingly generous in portion size and reasonably priced, with coffee or tea included. I chose the "Beer-marinated Chicken Karaage with Homemade German Tartar Sauce" (850 yen). You can choose bread or rice, and extra servings are free. It's like a German-style chicken nanban. The chicken, marinated in beer and fried, is topped with a sweet sauce and a generous amount of tartar sauce. When you take a big bite, the crispy skin breaks open, releasing juicy meat juices and flavors. It's hot and delicious! I was wondering what makes the tartar sauce German, but it turns out it's mixed with sauerkraut. The refreshing taste adds to the overall experience. It's huge, comes with mashed potatoes, and really filled me up!

Matsukake Square designed by Kengo Kuma. The wooden staircase visible upon entering the entrance is stunning, and at the top of this staircase is the craft beer-focused dining pub, Shematts. It's a perfect spot for a casual drink after work. Depending on the season, the building's illumination can be beautifully dazzling.

We made a reservation and visited this place with two people. We couldn't choose a course, so we only reserved the all-you-can-drink option. In the end, we were satisfied! We were able to enjoy plenty of beer and we were very happy. We wanted to try many different kinds, so we asked the staff if they could pour half glasses for us, and they said it was possible. We started with German potatoes for our meal. The beef tongue meat sauce that was served as an appetizer was also very delicious! We enjoyed the chicken and sausages, which were said to be specialties, very much. We would like to visit again!

After having a light lunch at Tsukiji with a beer, I went to Schmatz for a night of all-you-can-drink German beer. Schmatz has become a popular spot in Tokyo recently. The German owner wanted Japanese people to enjoy German beer in a casual setting. It's great to see more places where you can enjoy draft German beer, as many places used to be expensive. They also have Bitburger on tap. The German cuisine is simple and delicious, but compared to French cuisine, it may seem plain. I remembered eating schnitzel at a beer pub in Bonn. Of course, the portions in Germany are much larger... It's great that the premium all-you-can-drink option allows you to enjoy 8 unique beers, including guest beers. The spacious and stylish interior makes it suitable for drinking parties or even dates. It's nice to enjoy German beer in a different way than at a traditional pub.

Second lunch visit. Today I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel Parmigiana (long name...). It's a thinly pounded chicken cutlet with tomato sauce and cheese sauce on top. The sauces are delicious and go well with the bread. Unfortunately, the chicken was a bit tough, but maybe that's how it's supposed to be? If I have another chance to visit, I think I'll go for the reliable salad next time.
