On Friday, July 28, 2023, my wife and I had our usual day drinking outing in Temma! We started at Saketen Uchida before noon and then headed to Shintamon Sake Brewery for the second stop, which was our first visit there. We arrived before the 1:00 PM opening time, but the owner informed us that they would be opening a bit late, so we went to Temma Sake Brewery instead. We returned to Shintamon Sake Brewery after 2:00 PM and were able to enter. There were four other customers already there, and the place was run by the owner and his wife. They offer a mix of Asian cuisine by the owner and traditional izakaya dishes by the wife. The recommended Nasi Goreng was delicious with flavorful seasoning and char siu pork. The okra dish (forgot the name) had a nice shrimp flavor that paired well with sake. Another popular dish was the stir-fried vermicelli noodles, which I loved for its thin noodles and generous toppings. I wanted to try more dishes, but being our third stop, I was getting full. We paid 3300 yen using PayPay. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely come back for more!

[Tachinomiya Shintamon Sake Brewery] Recently, whenever I go to Temma, I always end up peeking into this place. It's just such a charming shop, you know (*´꒳`*) "Bakuteh" (Pork Rib Soup) for 1200 yen. This is a Malaysian specialty spare rib stew, only available on the 2nd Friday and Saturday. Finally got to try it (*´꒳`*) The meat is tender and falls apart, the seasoning is just right with a nice kick of spices, delicious ( ゚Д゚)ウマー Some people even leave some soup behind, as the soup is the star of Bakuteh (-ω☆)キラᆰ "Densuke's Crunchy Bean Sprout and Pork Chive Stir-Fry" for 600 yen. The name is ridiculously long, but it's painfully clear what it means (lol) I really love Densuke's bean sprouts, so whenever I go with a bean sprout lover, we always order two servings each (*´艸`) The crunchiness is top-notch, the seasoning is perfect, therefore it's delicious ( ゚Д゚)ウマー "Ikan Bilis (with Lime)" for 800 yen. My favorite dish of small fish and peanuts disappeared from the menu, so when I asked Nami if there was something similar, she recommended this to me (*´꒳`*) The crunchy texture of onions, the crispy small fish, the spicy kick, and the refreshing lime, it's exactly what I like ( ゚Д゚)ウマー

Malaysia Fried Bee Hoon 800 yen, Almost Shrimp Spring Rolls 600 yen, Stir-fried Wood Ear Mushrooms with Shaoxing Wine 600 yen. It's been a long time since I visited Nittamon! It's a very popular restaurant, and I often see posts about it, thinking how delicious it looks. Seriously, it's so good. Despite many new trendy restaurants opening in Temma, Nittamon continues to be popular. There must be something special about it. There are so many attractive menu items that I want to eat a lot. It's open from lunchtime, so I really want to go again soon. Ah, it's so delicious!

Salt grilled yakisoba? (?? yen) Sichuan mapo tofu (600 yen) Garlic butter sautéed squid (600 yen) Asahi Super Dry (550 yen) Highball (400 yen) Tempura bar hopping - Second stop Finally visited the standing bar Shin Tamon Sake Brewery that I've always wanted to go to (*´ω`*) After temporary closure and order stop, it's finally my fourth attempt! Although I was already full from the first stop, I only have delicious memories of all the dishes I had here! The garlic butter sautéed squid was tender and chewy, perfect with drinks (*´ω`*) I remember the yakisoba and mapo tofu being delicious too (laughs) Next time, I definitely want to visit as the first stop and eat heartily, I want to go to this place again as soon as possible ( ꈍᴗꈍ) Thank you for the meal (≧▽≦)

This is my second visit to the restaurant. Despite its appearance and atmosphere, it offers Asian cuisine that is hard to imagine. And it's a standing bar, so it's affordable! The taste of the dishes is authentic and delicious, with a lineup that never gets boring. I would like to visit again!

I always have delicious meals at this restaurant. Everything I eat here is tasty, but my favorite is the fried rice with char siu, called "Han-chan fried rice". It has an ethnic flavor while staying true to the basics. It's the perfect way to end a drinking session! It's also convenient that you can pay with PayPay.

Today, our second stop was here. The menu was quite different from the exterior of the restaurant. After some contemplation, I decided to go with a draft beer, stir-fried water spinach, and garlic butter sautéed squid. As the cooking began, a delightful aroma filled the air. The slightly spicy dishes paired well with the beer. The squid was tender and flavorful, making me wish I could recreate it at home. I also added a serving of Hainan chicken and finished off with two beers. Bar hopping is fun, but knowing when to call it quits and move on to the next spot can be a challenge, right?

I had a good time drinking at Tsugudake in front of JR Temma Station, but I wanted to drink a little more, so I headed to Tora-ya♪ However, it was Saturday, so there was a line of 8 people in front of the store (;´・ω・) This was expected, so I went to Hanchan next. Luckily, there was a space for one person. I ordered the Hainan chicken for 500 yen and a sweet potato shochu to go with it. I love chicken, but it can be a bit heavy, so I decided to try the Sichuan mapo tofu for a kick (even though I'm not good with spicy food... oh well, it's fine). I also ordered the "Kishu Gojugo-man-goku" from the world-renowned Wakanabe in Wakayama. However, it was a 300ml bottle (huh? Is this bottle okay for 500 yen???). Normally, it would cost more, but the price was surprisingly reasonable, so I added the Char Kway Teow (Malaysian black stir-fried noodles) as a finale. The noodles were spicy with plenty of leeks and bean sprouts, but surprisingly, they went well with the sake ( ´艸`). I ended up drinking and eating more than I expected, but I think I'll try Tora-ya again for a rematch.

【Visit on May 28, 2023, 16:00】On this day, I ventured out to Temma with my drinking buddies, leaving Juso behind. First stop was at Shin Takemon Sake Brewery. It's a nice standing bar with a great atmosphere. The owner is from Malaysia, and the Asian dishes he creates are excellent. We started with a toast with draft beer. I ordered stir-fried water spinach (450 yen) and garlic butter stir-fried squid (500 yen). My friend really wanted to have Nasi Goreng (800 yen). Despite the crowd, the dishes were served promptly, which was great. Stir-fried dishes go perfectly with ice-cold beer. The large peeled shrimp on top of the Nasi Goreng were plump and delicious. Fantastic. Since we had plans for more bar hopping later, we settled the bill quickly. I treated my friends here. Thank you for the meal. I definitely want to visit this place again.

I visited Shin Takamon Sake Brewery, which I had been curious about for a while, for a daytime drinking tour in Temma. I ordered stir-fried water spinach and yakisoba. It's a standing bar where you can eat Asian cuisine, but I didn't take a picture of the food menu, so I don't remember the exact names. The owner was chatting happily with a foreigner in English, so I think even foreigners can enjoy this place a lot. It's always crowded and popular, but if you go right at opening time, you can get in quickly and comfortably. Thank you for the meal!

A standing bar located within a 2-minute walk from Temma Station, serving surprisingly authentic ethnic cuisine that you wouldn't expect from its exterior. The standout dish was the black yakisoba, with a unique flavor enhanced by a seafood-based broth. It was incredibly delicious and I'm already craving it again. What's more, all dishes are very affordable, ranging from around 350 to 800 yen, and drinks are mostly in the 400 yen range. Such quality at such prices is amazing. Thank you. I will definitely go back again.

Taste: ★★★☆☆ Atmosphere: ★★★☆☆ Service: ★★★☆☆ [Taste] The Vietnamese rolls, chicken karaage, nasi goreng, and ginger ale cost a total of 1,800 yen. The Vietnamese rolls were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, very delicious with a mild flavor. Be careful as they are served piping hot! The chicken karaage was completely raw inside, not just slightly undercooked but completely raw. After they fried it again, the taste was okay but I probably wouldn't order it again. The nasi goreng was spicy and tasty, more like spicy fried rice than authentic ethnic food. [Atmosphere] At first glance, it looks like there is only a counter. The space is long and narrow, a bit difficult to navigate to the back seats, but this is common in standing bars near train stations. The location is very convenient, less than a 1-minute walk from JR Temma Station. [Service] There were 4 staff members behind the counter. They were neither good nor bad. They showed smiles to regular customers. [Overall] It was neither good nor bad. The small portions make it a good choice if you just want a taste of something ethnic. *Please note that this is just my personal opinion!

This day, I went to have a leisurely afternoon drink in Temma with my friend (・∀・) It was my first visit here, even though everyone goes here a lot! I was worried it might be full when I peeked in from the entrance, but luckily there was a spot in the back so we were able to enter! The temperature inside was so comfortable, almost like being outside, so I chose a hot water mixed drink (`・ω・´)>!!!! The menu had an Asian special menu, which was so appealing and right up my alley ♡ - Malay curry and roti (500 yen) - Stir-fried water spinach (450 yen) The roti was chewy and delicious♪ The Malay curry was quite spicy, really rich and flavorful haha. Maybe I should have ordered double the roti? (・∀・) It was really good though, so I'll definitely order it next time if it's available. The stir-fried water spinach was a classic dish, crunchy and tasty, just like I expected. Even though we only had a little bit this time since it was our second stop, I would love to come back here when I'm hungry and try more dishes! Thank you for the meal ♥(・∀・)♥

Although it's a popular restaurant, I regret not going there until now because I really love ethnic cuisine. Everything is brown so it doesn't look good in photos, and it's not a trendy place either, but everything I ate was delicious. It's difficult to describe the taste in a food review. Overall, it looks and tastes rich, but it's not heavy. The way they use oil is genius! - Fukuken Ramen (Malaysian black stir-fried noodles) 750 yen: It looks really rich, but it's not at all! It's an oily and devilishly good dish. - Densuke's Shimachou Negi Shoga Stir-fry 800 yen: The richness of the shimachou and the sweetness of the green onions, along with the oiliness, are amazing. Densuke's hormones are truly great. - Daikon Mochi, Chive, Bean Sprout Spicy Stir-fry 700 yen: Stir-frying daikon mochi is quite an unusual idea, right? It was chewy and delicious! Strangely, the egg was really tasty. - Beef and Potato Spice Stew 600 yen: I was undecided, but the staff went out of their way to recommend it! It wasn't even on our list of two possible menu items, but when it was recommended, why not try it? It was the right choice! Spicy and creamy soup curry-like dish that was delicious. I must try the fried rice and Hainan chicken that the customer next to us was eating next time! I can't wait to go back! Total for two people was about 4500 yen! (First stop)

"Shintamon Sake Brewery: 'Kuchinashi Stir-fry' and 'Hanchan's Fried Rice' For our night out in Temma, we decided to visit Shintamon Sake Brewery near Temma Station. It's a standing bar that I had been wanting to check out for a while. We started with a highball toast and then ordered the 'Kuchinashi Stir-fry' that looked delicious when others were eating it. It was simple yet incredibly tasty! We also tried 'Hanchan's Fried Rice' that the regulars were raving about. The fried rice, made by Hanchan himself, was of top-notch quality and made us forget we were at a standing bar for a moment. It was so delicious! Thank you for the meal! We will definitely be back for more!"

This is a memo. It is a personal record of when, where, what I ate, and drank. For the 7th stop of the day drinking tour in Temma, I visited Shin Tamon Sake Brewery. I had: -Chu-Hi Plain for 400 yen -Stir-fried hollow-stemmed vegetable for 450 yen. This place offers Asian cuisine different from other standing bars, and the atmosphere inside was a bit awkward with only couples besides me.

The second stop on the Tenma tour is Shin Tamon Sake Brewery, just a short walk from Sake Okuda 2. Despite looking like a casual standing bar, the menu here is Asian. There is a wide variety of Thai, Malaysian, and Vietnamese dishes because the chef, Mr. Han, is from Malaysia. You can see the Malaysian flag displayed outside. Mr. Han is a very shy person and may not respond when you try to talk to him, but since we were the only customers that day, he recommended dishes, made jokes, and his broken Japanese was quite endearing, showing that he is a nice person. The dishes he prepares are delicious. The Thai-style omelette is made by mixing sweet pickles with eggs and frying them. It has a unique texture and flavor different from sweet egg omelettes. The Malaysian curry and roti recommended by Mr. Han was flavorful with spices and probably had a coconut milk base. Even though it was spicy, it had a richness and sweetness that made even someone like me who can't handle spicy food say "yum." The roti is a thin, fried dough similar to Southeast Asian naan, and when dipped in curry, it enhances the flavor. The fried rice by Mr. Han was like Okayama's shrimp rice but with a lighter seasoning. Adding fish sauce and aromatic oil made it so gentle and delicious. The Thai-style yakisoba with kai-lan and pork belly had a secret flavor in the marinated pork belly, which was slightly spicy. Eating the kai-lan, pork, and noodles together created a unique yakisoba. It was quite interesting how the taste varied depending on the ingredients. Finishing with pickles to refresh the palate, I finally understood why the lady who brought me here said she always stops by when in Tenma. This place is truly one of a kind. I've decided that my second stop in Tenma will definitely be here!

I went there because my friend in Osaka often goes there. It's a standing bar near Temma Station with the Malaysian flag as a sign. I thought it was just ethnic food, but they also have sashimi and Okinawan dishes. They serve Malaysian and Singaporean appetizers. I ordered the lamb spiced grill, almost shrimp spring rolls, and garponpishifaman. I wanted to order one more dish, but I was worried about missing the last train, so I stopped. When you're alone, the amount you can eat is limited, so I want to come with multiple people. It's not amazing, but it's fun to have Malaysian-style appetizers.

I came back again. This is a unique standing bar where Asian cuisine made by a Malaysian father (Hanchan) is famous. Are there any other similar restaurants? That alone makes it stand out. I really wanted to eat the monthly "bak kut teh" dish. I visited again on the designated serving day after confirming with the restaurant. Today we are three people. It's Saturday, and the restaurant is about half full when we arrive right after opening. There are various customers, including the owner Hanchan who is busy preparing the bak kut teh dish. - Bak Kut Teh (Bakutei): Limited dish served once a month for two days. For those who don't know, "bak kut teh" is not actually tea. It is a Malaysian soup dish made with pork ribs (with skin) and offal simmered in Chinese herbal medicine and soy sauce. Hanchan is diligently preparing the large spare ribs used in the bak kut teh dish. When you order, it is cooked in a snow pot. The soup is very Asian, and it goes well with the generous spare ribs, making it a very delicious dish. The sauce is quite spicy. Be careful not to put too much, but it's very Asian and delicious. I'm glad I came today! - Char Kway Teow I had the char kway teow before and it was delicious, so I ordered it again. I really think this is delicious. The unique texture of rice noodles and the crunchy bean sprouts are combined with the Chinese dark soy sauce to create an exquisite dish. I want to order this again and again. - Malaysian Yako Tofu Tofu with dark soy sauce again. Delicious! This is the perfect light snack for a standing bar. - Lamb Spice Stir-Fry This was the daily special on the whiteboard. Spicy! But the spiciness makes it delicious! It seems to be Chinese Northeastern style cuisine. - Pickled Cucumbers I wanted to eat a Japanese-style side dish, so I ordered this. It was pickled to my liking. It disappeared in no time as everyone in the group seemed to be fighting over it. It goes well with shochu. Delicious! - Garpoloshi Fan This was requested by a companion who enjoyed it last time. Of course, it's consistently delicious. No matter how many times you eat it, delicious food is delicious! Oh, it's really delicious. I'm upgrading the rating to 4.5 stars. There are still many dishes I haven't tried yet! Looks like I'll be visiting here for a while. * Although there are hardly any smokers, smoking is allowed.

In Temma, the first stop for a night of drinking is Shin Takamon Sake Brewery, located very close to Temma Station. This place offers delicious Malaysian cuisine for standing and drinking. The dishes I always order are: - Spicy Stir-fried Clams (500 yen) - Southern Sea Chicken (500 yen) - Stir-fried Water Spinach (450 yen) All of them are seriously delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.
