I visited a yakiniku restaurant in Kuizen based on a recommendation from a local friend. Surprisingly, there was a symbol of Kintetsu Buffaloes on the signboard outside, and posters of Buffaloes inside the restaurant. The owner must be a Buffaloes fan. We started with three raw dishes: beef toro sashimi, wagyu beef simmered in broth, and fresh senmai (tripe). The toro sashimi was beautifully arranged like a rose, and the sashimi itself was delicious. The only downside was that the dipping sauce provided was ponzu, not soy sauce. The wagyu beef simmered in broth was outstanding. The fresh senmai was the best I've ever had. Next, we moved on to grilled dishes: salted tongue, top sirloin, grilled liver, top Harami (skirt steak), and top loin. Despite not being cooked over charcoal, the meat quality was excellent and delicious. My friend is a regular here, and I might become one too. It's a shame there are not many reviews, but this yakiniku restaurant is truly loved by the locals. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

This is a restaurant where you take off your shoes before entering, the tables are sunken kotatsu style. I thought the taste of the meat was worth the price.

This was my first visit. It was crowded at 5 PM on a holiday. I ordered tongue, harami, namul, and cold noodles, and all were very delicious and satisfying. The service from the staff was also good, and I was able to enjoy my meal comfortably.

On the third day of the New Year, I went out for yakiniku with friends at a place called "Yakiniku Tei Soul En" that we found after searching beyond the Abeno/Tennoji area. It was quite a trek to get there, but it was the only place open on New Year's. We ordered a variety of dishes including namul, kimchi, tansashi, yukhoe, a special set with various cuts of meat, kalbi, grilled tongue, tsurami, urutei, beef fillet, chicken, and more. The meat was all wagyu beef, and the sauce served with the yakiniku was on the sweeter side. The atmosphere of the restaurant was like a regular neighborhood yakiniku place, with Nankai Buffaloes uniforms on display and a unique shoe storage situation at the entrance. The staff were friendly and despite the crowded and slightly chaotic environment, we had a great time enjoying the food and drinks. After paying the bill, we headed to my place for a second round of drinks. It was a lovely way to start the new year, even though we ended up consuming a lot of wine, bourbon, shochu, and beer. Cheers to a great year ahead!
