LUNCH in Seta City the other day, Ryokame-san was not crowded even around 14:00, which is convenient for work. Even at 14:00, customers kept coming in. Today, I had the voluminous A set meal. It's not just about the volume, each dish is delicious and authentic Chinese cuisine. If you're looking for a Chinese lunch in Seta City, I highly recommend Ryokame, the town's Chinese restaurant. They also have a spacious parking lot.

Despite it being a weekday, the restaurant was quite busy, showing its popularity. The most popular items were the fried chicken set meal for 880 yen, the B set meal for 1150 yen, and a serving of dumplings for 330 yen. The prices are very reasonable, so I recommend everyone to try dining here at least once. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Thursdays (but open on public holidays falling on those days).

Although the entrance may seem narrow, the inside is quite spacious. I have visited this Chinese restaurant a few times before, and it is always filled with locals and during lunchtime, with office workers and craftsmen who come here to enjoy the generous and delicious Chinese dishes. The quick service during the precious lunch break is much appreciated. Especially, the fried chicken is very generous in portion. When you can't finish your meal, they also provide takeout containers. It's a really great restaurant.

However, every time I go there, all the customers around me order cold noodles, so I decided to try it myself. Surprisingly, the cold noodles here come with mozuku seaweed and shrimp. Also, it was served with a soy sauce-based sauce. I'm not sure if this is common or if it's because it's Ryukame, but it was really delicious and had a lot of volume.

It seems to be a popular local Chinese restaurant. I entered the restaurant at 2:35pm and there were 3-4 groups of customers inside. I ordered the A set menu somewhat randomly. The food came out in less than 10 minutes. This is the good thing about local Chinese restaurants. I wish I could experience the hustle and bustle of a hot pot restaurant... Sweet and sour pork, fried chicken, and pork with onions were served on one plate, and it was quite a generous portion, but I finished it without leaving anything. The fried chicken was delicious. A set menu for 1230 yen.

The texture of the batter is like fried chicken, fluffy and crispy, very tasty. Overall, it was delicious! Not outstanding, but everything was at the level you'd expect from a popular Chinese restaurant. I left feeling very full. If you want a good balance, the large portion of rice is a must, but the normal portion was enough to fill me up, so it's more suitable for those who can eat a lot. Even during a slightly off-peak time in the evening, the restaurant was crowded, so I can imagine how busy it must be during lunchtime. However, both the service and kitchen operations were efficient, so there was no unnecessary waiting time and the turnover seemed good.
