I visited the restaurant to have dinner with my company junior. It was around 8:30 pm on a holiday, and although there was no line, there were 6 guys at the outside table and several people at the counter, so it seemed to be a popular place. Even after we entered, customers were frequently coming and going. The ramen itself was delicious. The chashu was soft and melted in my mouth. At 800 yen for a single serving and an extra 80 yen for a large portion, I think it's a good value for money.

At Nishikujo, I was thinking about where to have lunch and decided to visit Hakuba Doji for the first time. Since it was past the usual lunch hour, I was able to enter without waiting. The restaurant only has counter seats. I ordered their signature "Happiness Ramen" which was prominently displayed on the menu. I also enjoyed a chu-hi drink to cool off. The counter seats surround the kitchen, and there was a slight smell of meat (which is expected from a pork bone broth), but it was still manageable. The broth was just right, with good noodle texture.

I visited an outdoor product demonstration event where industry professionals and enthusiasts were mixed, and on my way back to the office to make it in time for the afternoon meeting, I decided to have lunch in between train transfers. As I was walking down under the elevated tracks, I noticed this particular restaurant. I had actually tried to go to this restaurant a few times before, but always ended up getting drawn into a different one. This time, I stuck to my original plan and went inside, sitting at the counter and ordering the Happiness Ramen. The staff asked me if I wanted rice balls with it, and I quickly replied, "Yes, please!" During lunchtime, you get two rice balls for free as a service. Soon enough, the complimentary rice balls arrived, followed by the ramen. It had two slices of tender chashu pork, a seasoned egg, bamboo shoots, and a piece of seaweed with the words "matchmaking" written on it, all floating on top of a pork bone soy sauce broth with a layer of oil. The noodles were thin and short, allowing them to soak up the soup well. The toppings complemented both the noodles and the rice balls perfectly. The soup was so delicious that I almost drank it all. It's no wonder that the place had a constant stream of customers coming in and out. It was a satisfying meal.

On May 10, 2023, near Nishikujo Station in Osaka, there is "Hakuba Doji Nishikujo". During lunchtime, you can get 2 free onigiri. I had the reasonably priced "Simple Ramen" for 680 yen. When I tasted the main soup, it was surprisingly delicious! The gentle and flavorful soup was really good! The free onigiri was also tasty. Thank you for the meal!

There were no alcohol wipes or hand towels, so for those who are not comfortable with that, this might not be the ideal place. While waiting for my order, I noticed the person next to me customizing their dish in various ways. They even took out pickles from a Tupperware on the table and ate them. When my ramen arrived, I was surprised to see a nori seaweed knot on top! It made me chuckle. The ramen itself was a refreshing soy tonkotsu flavor that went down smoothly. The taste was great, but as a first-time visitor, I wished there was a bit more explanation, so that's why I gave this rating.

I had trouble setting up the internet at my new office, so I decided to have lunch at Shiramadouji. I ordered the Happi Ramen, Yakimeshi Koshi, and one bite-sized Gyoza. The soup here is tonkotsu shoyu, with a nice balance of tonkotsu flavor. The fried rice is also delicious. The one-bite gyoza is just the right size for me. Even though my appetite has decreased recently, I ended up ordering three dishes and sadly had to leave some noodles uneaten. I later realized there was a 80 yen discount for half noodles on the menu.

They were chatting amongst themselves in a different language, which made me feel a bit uneasy. I used to eat here occasionally and never had such issues before, especially with the soup being lukewarm. It seems that when left to foreign staff, there is a lack of attention to detail and care. I've noticed this at other ramen shops as well, where the foreign staff are left to handle everything. Perhaps it would be better to provide proper guidance if entrusting tasks to them.

I ordered the spicy miso ramen at this shop near Nishi-Kujo Station. Unfortunately, there was no free onigiri service on Sundays. The spicy miso ramen I ordered was not as spicy as I had expected. It lacked any spiciness or kick, and was overly salty. It felt like they just added a lot of spicy miso to the original miso ramen, making the soup extremely salty. It was a first for me to have such a salty ramen. It was so salty that it made me really thirsty afterwards. I would not recommend this menu for those looking for a spicy challenge. Please be aware.

I visited this place because it had the highest rating in the area. I ordered the "happiness ramen." It was lighter than I expected, and I didn't really like the texture of the noodles. The shop has a cool wooden exterior that caught my attention, so I decided to visit for the first time around 4:00 PM on a weekday. There was no one inside when I arrived, but one customer came in after me. The interior has counter seats, tables in the back, and even terrace seating outside. It's a compact and small shop. Menu: - Happiness Ramen - Full of Happiness Ramen - Simple Ramen - Salt Ramen - Miso Ramen (Normal, Spicy, Very Spicy) The signature Happiness Ramen is a tonkotsu soy sauce ramen, and during lunchtime, they offer free onigiri as a service. Side dishes: - One Bite Gyoza - Garlic Gyoza - Shiso Gyoza - Fried Rice (Large, Medium, Small) - Rice (Large, Medium, Small) - 3-Item Combo (Chashu, Menma, Flavored Egg) - Chashu Plate They also offer alcohol pairing options. Rice (Medium) (¥150) With free kimchi available, there's no reason not to order rice. The kimchi made with radish and Chinese cabbage is not very spicy, with a mild and refreshing taste. It was a nice addition to balance out the rich ramen. Shiso Gyoza (¥300) Five small gyoza with crispy skin, served with sesame sauce. The crunchy texture of cabbage and the flavor of shiso make these gyoza delightful. Eating them with kimchi and gyoza makes the rice disappear quickly. Overall, you can enjoy a hearty and rich ramen at a reasonable price. The free services are wonderful, especially for kimchi lovers like myself. Additionally, the shop has long operating hours with no lunch break, making it convenient for a late-night meal as well (currently closing at 8:00 PM due to shortened hours). I had the "Happiness Ramen" for 770 yen. The noodles had a good texture and it was decently tasty, but it was just an ordinary ramen overall. Also, I read in other reviews that there is free kimchi available, but I couldn't find it at my seat. Do I need to ask the staff for a refill of the water? There was a bottle that seemed to contain water at the seat next to mine, but not at my seat or the one next to it. It's not a big deal if it's difficult to get a refill of water, but it's a bit inconvenient.

Today I had 2 meals! Hello, it's Okahiro! On my way back from a business meeting in Osaka, I had ramen in Nishikujo! I tried the "Happiness Ramen ¥920" with a seaweed "Daikichi" topping, and it was heartwarming. Let's dig in! The first sip surprised me - it's a tonkotsu soup! Delicious! Excited, I tried the noodles next. They were slightly firm and cooked just right! The noodles were delicious too! Overall, it was a tasty bowl of ramen! I was very satisfied! You can also choose to have half the amount of noodles, which is a nice touch. Although the shop has a corner layout, the diagonal wooden counter was a nice touch. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great value for money! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good value for repeat visits! ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Decent value for the price. ⭐️⭐️ Not bad for the effort. ⭐️ Eat once in a lifetime I believe that Eat Log's overall rating tends to be a relative evaluation that ignores the price, which I find unfair. It's natural for higher-priced restaurants to receive higher ratings, but I believe that lower-priced restaurants with high satisfaction should be more appreciated. My evaluation is based on "cost performance"! It's about the satisfaction level relative to the money paid, and whether I would go back again.

Nishikujo has also become somewhat lonely due to the lack of access to USJ during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are quite a few ramen shops in Nishikujo, and this one has been around for a while. Their specialty is tonkotsu shoyu ramen with generous slices of pork chashu. Even though it's tonkotsu-based, I chose the salt flavor for some reason (laughs). The salt ramen didn't feel like I was eating tonkotsu broth. For lunch, they serve complimentary onigiri and kimchi. It's a place where you can enjoy a hearty bowl of ramen, eat plenty of rice, and leave feeling satisfied, ready for work in the afternoon. Maybe it's not the kind of place where you need to talk about this and that. The staff members were very friendly, which left a good impression. Just for your reference! ^^v

First day of my trip to Osaka. The first meal in Osaka was here. A roadside shop located a few minutes walk from Nishi-Kujo Station. Open from noon until night. It seemed to be a popular place, as it was quite crowded even when I entered around 2 pm. I ordered the "Happiness Ramen" with a cute name and a bottle of beer to relax. I heard that they offer onigiri as a service early in the day, so I had that too. The ramen soup had a nostalgic soy sauce base with a hint of spices. The yellowish noodles and tender chashu were also delicious. It was a hearty bowl that allowed me to fully enjoy the soy sauce soup. And the cost performance was great too. It was a satisfying meal. I was lured by the lovely name "Shiawase Ramen" and decided to give it a try! Even though I was in Osaka for a trip, I ended up craving ramen instead of local flour-based dishes! No matter where I am, I always seem to crave ramen (´∀｀). In the end, I didn't order the "Shiawase Ramen" but instead went for the regular miso ramen because miso is my favorite. The reviews were quite positive, so I had high expectations, and it turned out to be pretty good (*^ω^*). It was a rich miso ramen! The soup was thick and not easy to drink. I heard that rice balls are complimentary for lunch, so I had one! The gyoza (I forgot to take a photo) was bite-sized and easy to eat.
