When I go back to my hometown, I often visit a rice bowl restaurant in Ino, Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, which uses eggs. It used to be in Haneda and I used to pass by it often. Since it is managed by JR Kyushu, I visited it with shareholder benefits. I had a salted chicken and egg rice bowl, while my companion had a meat-absorbing egg rice set. You can choose the eggs yourself from a basket. You can have seconds of eggs and rice. The cost performance is good. The eggs have a strong flavor. I don't know why. The salted chicken and egg rice bowl has a gentle and refreshing taste. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

In the evening, before heading to the beauty salon, I was feeling a bit hungry and stumbled upon a cute little shop. The shop wasn't very big, with about 5 single seats and 3 or 4 table seats. They also offered takeout. I sat down and was served water, and I was recommended to try their limited quantity omurice, so I ordered it without hesitation. The omurice arrived in less than 5 minutes, with a trendy soft and fluffy texture. Inside, there was chicken rice. At first, I tried it without ketchup. The ginger in the chicken rice gave it a refreshing taste, making it a unique omurice. It was very easy to eat and delicious. Then, I tried it with ketchup, spooning it onto the omurice. As expected, omurice goes well with ketchup. I personally prefer it that way. Lastly, I felt like having something sweet and wanted to order creme brulee, but the staff suggested their pudding. I decided to go with the pudding, and it was a great choice. The firm pudding was really delicious, and I savored it slowly. Since I was the only customer in the shop, I hope they forgive me for taking my time. The atmosphere created by the staff, especially the friendly lady, made it a very cozy space.

On the second day of our trip to Osaka, we planned to have a morning meal but ended up oversleeping and didn't make it until around 10 o'clock. The popular breakfast choice seems to be the egg over rice set. After 10 o'clock, additional menu items are available, such as oyakodon and nikumaki set. My partner ordered the nikumaki set with extra rice and egg, while I had the oyakodon with added miso soup. We both left feeling satisfied! The total cost was 2150 yen.

On my way to work in the morning on the train, I suddenly felt hungry. I decided to have breakfast in Umeda on my commute. I usually go to Shioya for breakfast in Umeda, but this time I decided to try something new and visited Uchi no Tamago. I arrived at the restaurant around 8 am. They offer a breakfast menu for 550 yen from 7:30 am to 11 am. I entered the restaurant and there were two groups of customers ahead of me. The female staff member, who was working alone, asked if I was okay with the breakfast menu available until 11 am. I said yes and sat down. In just about a minute, my breakfast arrived. It was very quick! The breakfast menu was simple - rice, one egg, miso soup, and pickles. According to the restaurant description in Hankyu Sanbangai, they use high-quality brown eggs called "Uchi no Tamago" for all dishes. These eggs are raised at a chicken farm in Uchi in Fukuoka Prefecture. The rice was from a brand called Morino Kuma from Kumamoto Prefecture. I cracked the Uchi no Tamago, took out the yolk, and poured it over the rice. The yolk was a slightly darker orange color. I made the yolk runny and started eating with excitement. There were three types of soy sauce - Ishiru dashi, Dashi soy sauce that goes well with eggs, and soy sauce for egg rice. I decided to try Ishiru, but it turned out to be quite pungent. I added some egg whites to dilute the flavor. The miso soup was hearty and delicious with plenty of ingredients. I finished my meal and felt satisfied. I wish I had an egg separator for next time. I'll try a different soy sauce next time. Overall, it was a homely and enjoyable breakfast.

I always saw a shop at Haneda Airport that I was curious about, and I found out they also had a branch in Hankyu, so I visited for a late breakfast around 11 am on a Saturday. There were already about 5 people inside the small shop with 3 tables and 5 counter seats. You can have unlimited refills of rice and eggs. You can choose your own eggs, and the light yellow yolk is a natural color from the natural feed based on underground water and ingredients like corn, without any processing. The set also comes with miso soup and pickles. There are 3 types of soy sauce on the table, and the additive-free 809 dashi soy sauce was exceptionally delicious. The egg over rice is so good that you can eat it like a drink, so having 2 bowls of rice was quite easy, but personally, I think having a smaller amount of rice and enjoying the egg is better. The topping of seasoned seaweed seemed a bit pricey. If you're choosing based on cost performance, I recommend something other than seaweed. They also have dishes like oyakodon and omurice. "Uchi no Tamago" comes from healthy eggs born from parent chickens raised freely in the fresh air of the lush mountains of Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture. It's perfect for breakfast. I discovered a new shop next to the Hankyu Umeda express bus stop! I decided to go in alone and found a place called "Uchi no Tamago" that uses carefully selected eggs. I tried their specialty dish, "Tamago Kake Gohan" (rice with raw egg), and it was delicious. You can even ask for seconds! The staff brought a basket of eggs to my table and let me choose the one I wanted, which was a tough decision. If you register on LINE, you can get a free "Tamago Cake" as a gift. I ordered the Tamago Kake Gohan (545 yen + tax), which came with egg, rice, pickles, and miso soup. You can have free refills of egg and rice. The portion of rice seemed slightly more than a standard bowl. If you feel the pickles and miso soup are not enough, you can add toppings for an extra charge. However, I couldn't really tell the freshness or quality of the eggs as a specialty egg dish store, so I wouldn't recommend going there just for that.

I could hear someone instructing a new staff member, but they were teaching in a gentle manner, so I could enjoy my meal peacefully. I had the 500 yen breakfast set. Toppings like mentaiko were available for an additional charge. The set included rice, one egg, pickles, and miso soup. The miso soup was full of ingredients. The egg was rich, and there were three types of soy sauce provided for the egg rice, which paired well. There aren't many shops open before 11 am in that area, so I'm grateful.

Now, about the egg rice breakfast, the one coin price feels like a good deal, but adding an extra egg costs ¥100. You can add up to one egg if it's not breakfast, but in the morning, they charge for additional eggs to keep the price down. Well, one egg is enough for breakfast anyway. The eggs, as expected, are delicious. The yolk is not the rich type, but a light yolk that goes perfectly with the rice. The miso soup also has a sense of commitment, making it a classic breakfast. The mentaiko was tasty, but considering the price, I wish there was a bit more. It's quite small. It was a satisfying breakfast with the long-awaited egg rice, but actually, at the Hakata shop, I always used to have the tamago donburi. I liked the tamago donburi with just eggs more than the oyakodon with chicken. Here, they only have oyakodon, and there is no tamago donburi.

There is a one-coin tamago kake gohan specialty store in Umeda, where many working men and women gather. I tried the "Morning Rice with Our Eggs" for 500 yen tax included. The rice portion was small, but the unique egg was served in an interesting container. It came with pickles and miso soup with some vegetables in it. You can get extra rice or toppings for an additional coin, but I didn't this time. Located in Hankyu Sanbangai, this place seems to be popular among working professionals. Thank you for the meal!

Around 10:30 am on July 31, 2022 (Sunday), I had a breakfast of tamagokake gohan (rice with raw egg) with Aki-me nori from Ariake Sea, which they call "Morning." I poured special attention to the egg over the rice, mixed it with Aki-me nori, and added ishiru and dashi soy sauce... It was so delicious! I finished it in no time. It seems you can have seconds of rice and egg, but since it's morning, I stuck with one bowl of rice. This is the right way to have breakfast. I'm glad to be Japanese. It was delicious. If you love TKG (Tamago Kake Gohan) then you will probably find this restaurant appealing. During lunchtime, I decided to go for the parent and child bowl dish. The outside of the restaurant had people waiting for takeout. Inside, there were 5 counter seats and two 4-person table seats, providing a cozy atmosphere. I ordered the "Parent and Child Bowl with extra rice + miso soup" and it arrived in 6-7 minutes. The miso soup had spinach, daikon radish, and shimeji mushrooms, with a gentle flavor, although the daikon could have been cooked a bit softer. The parent and child bowl had a gooey egg with brown sauce on top. When I tasted it, it was sweet! The chicken was slightly overcooked, making it a bit salty and soft. The dish also came with a "Uchi no Tamago" egg from Iizuka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, which I placed on top of the bowl, enhancing the flavor significantly. Mixing the yolk into the dish transformed it, adding richness and harmony to the sweetness and sauce. The pickles served were a perfect palate cleanser. I recommend mixing the yolk from the start for a delightful dining experience.
