I arrived at the store around 2 o'clock on Saturday and waited a bit. The interior of the store was spacious with high ceilings, and the service was very smart and pleasant. It's a valuable space where you can relax and enjoy your time. They offer Italian cafe menu items. I ordered the Affogato Set for 1,550 yen including tax. I chose Darjeeling tea, which was served in a pot, making me feel like I got a great deal. The espresso poured over the ice was generous, with plenty of ice and cream, making it satisfying on its own. The combination of the espresso's rich, bitter flavor and the sweetness of the cream created a perfect harmony in the mouth. The high fat content of the cream made it delicious. The refreshing taste of the tea at the end left me wanting more, creating a well-balanced set that left me very satisfied.

I found out that Cafe La at Kobe Daimaru is also at Umeda Daimaru, so I visited. Initially, I was going to order Affogato al Cafe, but the kind staff recommended Affogato Castagna as a drink set, which was a better deal. I accidentally spilled a little when pouring the hot coffee, but the taste was excellent. The combination of cold vanilla ice cream and hot coffee created a unique sensation. I wanted to relax during café time ☕️, so I was lucky to barely get a seat on a holiday. I ordered a waffle called "Clair" and a cappuccino. I opted for the Espresso Flight No.2 Macchiato (tax included ¥1,111), which allows you to enjoy two different types of espresso. Espresso is coffee extracted by passing boiling water through coffee beans filled in a filter under pressure. It is usually served in a small cup, and it is said to be best enjoyed within 10 seconds of brewing. Drinking it immediately after taking a photo, you can taste a sweetness within the bitterness. The small cup is quickly finished, and although it is bitter, the gentleness felt in the foam is delicious. The other option, Macchiato, is a shot of espresso topped with steamed foamed milk, providing a strong impact ( ﾟДﾟ)ｳﾏｰ. The milk's richness complements the espresso beautifully. As a palate cleanser, carbonated water is served, which is almost tasteless and odorless, but after the espresso, it feels gently sweet. Paired with a subtly sweet baked good, it was a blissful time. The place used to be bustling with shoppers, but due to COVID precautions, they have reduced seating. The high ceiling provides a sense of security, and on sunny days, the blue sky is beautiful. I revisited the store in Daimaru because I wanted something sweet in between shopping. Due to the influence of COVID-19, there was a disinfectant spray at the entrance, and there were fewer seats than last time. The menu was no longer on a tablet. It was already past 4:30 pm and all the cakes in the cake set were sold out, so I ordered the Affogato Al Cafe for 759 yen including tax, which I had wanted to try after seeing it on Instagram. It comes with two scoops of ice cream, so it's quite filling. Even if you are dining alone, they recommend a spacious seat if available, showing the quality of a department store. I will visit again.

Although we expected a stronger cheese flavor for a sandwich with three cheeses, it was still delicious. Overall, it was a very tasty sandwich. Daimaru's café has many great options, but if you want to spend a relaxing and leisurely time, this is the place to be.
