Every Saturday, I have lunch with my partner, and this time we went to a slightly upscale sushi restaurant for our first stop. After holding back a bit there, I ended up feeling even hungrier, so we decided to go for a second round. My partner suggested going to "Kaisendon Hinode," a place famous for its seafood bowls. Located in a narrow street in Yakuin, we parked at a nearby coin parking lot and entered the small restaurant. Although the space was small, it seemed normal for Yakuin, considering the high rent in the area. As I entered, I remembered that there was also a branch in the underground of Hakata Station, which I had visited a few times before. The interior had counter seats and table seats, making it suitable for small groups or even solo diners. The menu was extensive, and since I had just eaten sushi, I was eager to eat more, triggering my appetite. I ordered the Hokkaido Oyakodon with miso soup (upgraded to tonjiru) and added Chawanmushi. The bowl was filled with my favorite ingredients like ikura, salmon, scallops, shirako, and crab claws. The rice was also served in a large portion. It didn't feel like a typical second stop (laughs). The best part was that rice refills were free! Moreover, there was a self-service corner for unlimited pickles. I ordered beer, so I enjoyed the pickles as a snack. The seafood bowl was not the only item on the menu; they also offered set meals, fried dishes, grilled fish, sashimi set meals, and more. Soon, the seafood bowl arrived, looking incredibly delicious. The presentation was also top-notch, with a variety of fresh and tasty toppings. The warm rice complemented the sashimi well, and while the fish may not have been top-grade, it was still delicious. The self-service pickles and the option to make ochazuke with free dashi for the finish were impressive features. Considering the popularity and authenticity of the place, I can see why it's a hit. It seems like they also focus on delivery and takeout services like Uber Eats. I would love to visit again for lunch. It was a delightful meal! #Kaisendon Hinode #Sushi Lunch #Seafood Bowl Lunch #Yakuin Gourmet #Yakuin Lunch #Fukuoka Lunch #Fukuoka Gourmet

On the menu page of Tabelog, it said that the domestic sea urchin bowl was 2120 yen, which seemed amazing, so I decided to try it. However, due to recent price increases, the sea urchin bowl had increased to 5980 yen. It's understandable, I guess. But since I was already there, I ordered the clam soup set. I changed the white rice to a seafood mini bowl for an additional 650 yen. The clam soup had a strong dried fish stock flavor and didn't taste much like clams, but it had plenty of clams in it. The simmered mackerel was quite sweet in taste. Overall, it was not bad, but not exceptional either.

I was feeling a bit hungry this morning after being tired from traveling, so I decided to satisfy my craving for seafood donburi. It had been a while since I last visited this place, but the seafood donburi here is still delicious! I ordered the Hinode Special Donburi, while my partner had the Hakata Spicy Donburi. The prices seem to have gone up a bit in these times, but the quality is still maintained. The restaurant was full during lunchtime. The taste is consistently good here. Thank you for the meal! (^^)

It's a restaurant recommended by an acquaintance. They offer a variety of dishes from set meals to seafood bowls. This time, I had the premium tuna rice bowl for 3,280 yen. It was neither good nor bad. I think in Fukuoka, it's better to eat white fish or blue fish rather than tuna.

I hadn't been here for a while, but it seems like the prices have gone up. I really feel the high cost of living. I thought going over 2,000 yen would be tough, but I wanted to be satisfied, so I decided on the seared salmon bowl. I sprinkled my usual sesame soy sauce with wasabi and enjoyed the combination of the salmon's fat and the deliciousness of the rice. When the timing was right, I asked for some broth to make ochazuke, and then I realized, oh, it's salmon ochazuke! I finished it while joking with myself. I was a bit worried that it might not be enough when I ordered, but in the end, I regretted eating too much. It was satisfying. Next time, I'll aim for a cheaper set meal.

Today, I was feeling a little hungry so I was looking for a set meal restaurant, but I ended up choosing this place that I hadn't been to before. Usually, there is a line of customers waiting to get in, but today there was no line so I decided to give it a try. I had checked beforehand that there were menu items under 1,000 yen, but when I looked at the menu, the only option under 1,000 yen was the "Seafood Yukke Don" for 880 yen. So, I ordered that. You can get a large portion of rice without any extra charge. Besides miso soup, you can also choose tonjiru (pork miso soup) but that comes with an additional cost, so I chose the miso soup which was included in the price. You can also choose a side dish like chawanmushi, so I chose that. It took a little while, but when the donburi arrived, it was a large portion with plenty of rice. It looked like a "tsukedon" (marinated fish bowl). As usual, it was not vinegared rice but hot rice with marinated sashimi on top, Fukuoka-style. The sweet and savory sauce was generously poured over it, so vinegared rice was not necessary. I was happy to see a soft-boiled egg on top. However, this restaurant, where the main dishes are over 1,000 yen, is always crowded. Are the customers tourists or locals? The mystery remains unsolved.

I arrived at this restaurant wanting to eat a seafood bowl at a reasonable price. I went there early in the evening on a weekday. Since there was no one in the restaurant, I was able to eat slowly. The sesame amberjack had no unpleasant smell and the fish was delicious. It was delicious to eat it with sesame sauce. There are other seafood restaurants in this area that are also delicious, so I would rate this one as average.

I felt happy to have my favorite items on the table ^ ^ The white fish fry was thick and delicious. I think I'll stick to this from now on! Thank you for the meal ^ ^

I used to come here looking for sashimi rice bowls, but it seems they no longer offer them. So, I decided to try the mackerel miso stew set meal for the first time. A huge piece of mackerel, rich in flavor, arrived with a delicious layer of oil on top. I chose chawanmushi as a side dish, and as usual, I swapped it for their amazing pork miso soup.

Today's lunch was in the Yakuin area! I visited this place for the first time in a while! It used to be a favorite spot when I worked in Yakuin... Back then, they had a delicious seafood tan-tan donburi, but it's no longer on the menu... Since then, they have expanded to Hakata Station and seem to be doing well! I arrived 5 minutes before the opening time of 11:30, and there were 3 people waiting in line ahead of me! The restaurant has tables and a counter, with a capacity of around 30 people! Oh... I noticed that they have changed to a touch panel ordering system... I was planning to order the discounted Kiriochoshi donburi for lunch, but it was sold out... haha So, I decided to go with another lunch special that seemed like a good deal! - Negitoro Lunch (680 yen) + changed the miso soup to a small pork miso soup (280 yen) I personally like that it comes with chawanmushi as a side dish! In about 5 minutes, the donburi arrived at the counter seat! Hmm... the amount of negitoro seems less compared to the rice... It's a lunch deal, so maybe it's understandable given the price...? With the sesame soy sauce on the table, I sprinkled it generously and melted the wasabi into the bowl! The sesame soy sauce is not too spicy even when poured generously! I tried it right away, and the moist texture of the negitoro with the good aroma of tuna and sesame soy sauce spread in my mouth! Negitoro and warm rice... this combination is the best... When you order here, you get seafood dashi to finish off, so I added the dashi and enjoyed it as ochazuke! The dashi is full of umami and makes a delicious ochazuke... The pork miso soup had pork, daikon radish, carrots, burdock root, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, thick fried tofu, taro, all with plenty of ingredients! The miso had a strong dashi flavor and was a comforting dish... The chawanmushi also had a rich dashi flavor that dashi lovers would adore! It seems like there are fewer ingredients compared to before, but I hope they continue to do well in the future... Thank you for the meal!

I sometimes rely on this place when I work late. Today, I was feeling hungry and decided to have a seafood bowl (I usually go for set meals). I ordered the Hakata spicy seafood bowl using the touch panel. The fish was really fresh and the pieces were big! I also had the option to choose a side dish, and I went with chawanmushi. I enjoyed the self-serve pickles too, but I had to be careful not to take too many. There were also foreign customers, so it seems like the place is popular with tourists again. The takeout and Uber services seem to be busy as usual. Another great meal at Hinodeya today!笑笑.

At the table, I was prompted to try the pickles corner. It was my first time trying it with the Negitoro lunch. The finely shredded pickled radish was crispy and delicious. The pickled ginger was sweet, which was a nice difference from regular conveyor belt sushi places. The seaweed simmered in soy sauce was nostalgic and hearty. It paired perfectly with the rice bowl! The Negitoro bowl had a refreshing taste, and I enjoyed using the leftover rice to enjoy the pickles and rice soup. The lunch set for 680 yen was a great deal, and it was cute and appreciated that it came with chawanmushi with fish cake and chicken. The lunch set had a light and pleasant impression. The background music playing in the restaurant was JPOP, which was soothing. The rotation of dishes and the lively staff created a mini-festival atmosphere. Thank you very much.

The new seafood yukke bowl was decided even though it was my first visit. The combination of spicy sauce and warm egg pleased my summer palate. For the side dish, I chose a refreshing salad. Other options included small dishes, rice bowls, and kinako pudding. The restaurant had a 30% occupancy rate on Monday at 1:30 PM, but it increased to 70% later on. I used a tablet to order and the yukke bowl, a side dish, and miso soup arrived within 10 minutes. The sashimi in a square shape was tender and had a double bounce. The spicy flavor was great, and it was also delicious with sesame soy sauce. Surprisingly, it didn't make me thirsty. Maybe it's because the fresh sashimi was hydrating. I also enjoyed the gentle miso soup. The taste is pleasing, especially considering the location. Lunch here is also budget-friendly. I will definitely visit again. Thank you very much.

Hakata Sesame Mackerel Bowl! Limited quantity available! Drizzle generously with special sesame soy sauce and wasabi. It's incredibly delicious, and they also provide free seafood dashi for ochazuke. This is also delicious! Since this restaurant specializes in fresh ingredients from the market, I recommend trying their bowl dishes made with seasonal fish. The set meals are also very filling!

(2021.11.30) Due to the cold wave forecasted to not even reach a high of 10 degrees Celsius, the number of people out and about is expected to be low... I decided to seek revenge on the 'Kaisendon Hinode' that I had to give up on last Saturday due to the long queue. Even though it was lunchtime, I was prepared for some waiting time, but to my surprise, I was able to be seated immediately at the counter in the center of the small restaurant. While the counter seats are the main focus in this 30-seat restaurant, there are also two tables for six people each, so if you're lucky, you could share a table with friends or family. There are about 20 rice bowl dishes using locally sourced fresh maguro from Goto, such as Tekka Don and Chutoro Don, as well as about 20 set meal options including grilled dishes, fried dishes, and simmered dishes. Opting for something unique to Fukuoka, I chose the "Goma Saba Don". It features fresh, lively mackerel, offering a pleasant chewiness with no hint of fishiness, allowing you to savor its sweetness. The "sesame soy sauce" on the table also enhances the rich sesame flavor. You can also enjoy the dashi and have ochazuke with it. The bowl comes with small side dishes like kobashira, chawanmushi, and kinpira, where you can choose one additional dish. The chawanmushi I had contained a generous piece of chicken and was satisfying. The miso soup was also packed with ingredients. Overall, it's clear why this popular restaurant always has a line - they don't skimp on any aspect of the meal.

I really wanted to eat sea urchin! So I suddenly decided to go, even though it was raining lightly! But to my surprise, they didn't have any sea urchin in stock - tears. Oh well, I'm grateful that I could still enjoy fresh fish with their sesame sauce! I was in the mood for sashimi, so I had a seafood bowl, but I wouldn't have minded having some fried food instead. I'll have to come back for a rematch next time!

When I come to Fukuoka, I always end up going to "Bikkuri Tei" all the time, so this time I decided to try a seafood restaurant, and I found a popular restaurant called "Wappa Jo" produced by Tanaka. The restaurant is located near the Yakuin Odori subway station, and it reminded me of "Wappa Jo" with its somewhat feminine menu design. I ordered the "Pichi Pichi Hasami Donburi (¥1,480)" which is a bowl with a variety of shrimp, and for the side dish, I chose the "Today's Small Plate". The bowl arrived with crab claws, steamed shrimp, sweet shrimp, and large shrimp tempura on top, garnished with seaweed, green onions, and shiso leaves. Although the presentation looked good, the crab was dry and the shrimp seemed cheap. The shrimp tempura, however, was crispy and delicious. The side dish of steamed potatoes with mentaiko sauce was a nice touch, and the miso soup had a strong umami flavor. Overall, the main dish was a bit disappointing, but the side dishes were enjoyable. I might have made the wrong choice this time, but I would like to visit again and try something different next time, maybe the sesame mackerel.

Today's lunch decision was made by scrolling through food review sites in the neighborhood. I found a place that serves sesame mackerel, which I wanted to try before leaving Fukuoka. The price was a bit high at 1,780 yen, but the taste was just average. I will continue my search for delicious sesame mackerel in the future.

I used lunch as an excuse for a walk. It was around 12:30, so the restaurant was quite crowded. Luckily, we were able to enter without waiting. This time, I had the spicy Hakata rice bowl, and my partner had the negitoro rice bowl. While waiting for the rice bowls, we enjoyed some pickles and beer. The pickled ginger here is delicious and goes well with beer! Finally, the rice bowls arrived. I mixed the sesame dressing with wasabi and took a bite. Delicious!! I also tried a bite of my partner's negitoro rice bowl, which was also tasty and reasonably priced. The chawanmushi and miso soup were also delicious and satisfying. I look forward to thinking about what to eat next time! Thank you for the meal :)

In front of Tantanmen no Fukurou, I ordered Hokkaido Oyakodon. I thoroughly enjoyed the ikura, kazunoko, kani, shake, and more that I love. I chose chawanmushi. I had a highball with edamame and the complimentary pickles. Thank you for the meal. I'm a bit full, so the climb up Sakurazaka will be tough, but I will walk back to Rokumonmatsu.

It's recommended to go a little later than usual lunchtime to avoid the crowds and get in without waiting. This restaurant offers reasonably priced, fresh, and delicious seafood bowls. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it easy for solo diners to enjoy. In addition to seafood bowls, they also have set menu options. The seafood bowl is served with an original sesame soy sauce that enhances the fresh and perfectly portioned sashimi. It was so delicious! The rice was also tasty. I was very satisfied and would love to come back again.
