When I saw the press butter sandwich at Hakata Station, I found a new product "Coffee"! I love coffee, so I had to buy this. It is described as "A coffee cookie with a rich coffee buttercream. Combined with a gentle sweetness of butter caramel, it offers a taste that is both slightly bitter and soothing. The coffee beans are medium roasted to enhance the aroma and flavor when blended with the buttercream." It comes in a pack of 5 for ¥1296 (tax included) and the blue packaging is inspired by the night sky. It tasted as good as I imagined, not too sweet, just the taste I like!

I didn't realize there was a Press Butter Sand shop in Fukuoka. I received it as a souvenir from Tokyo and couldn't forget its delicious taste since that day. I changed my plans to buy souvenirs in Hakata to get Press Butter Sand instead. It's a square cookie with thick layers of butter cream and caramel cream in between. It's so tasty, especially for caramel lovers like me. Although the shop has only been around for about 5 years, it has captivated people who love delicious food with its wonderful Press Butter Sand.

My friend brought me a souvenir from their hometown, which is a pressed butter sandwich with amaou strawberries. I'm happy because I love strawberries. It consists of cocoa cookies and strawberry cookies with cream in between. The cocoa cookies had a slightly bitter taste, not too sweet, and were delicious.

"I heard about a new specialty in Hakata and decided to go buy it, but it turned out to be just a store advertising itself. However, as expected, it was quite well-made. For Hakata souvenirs, 'Hakata potato' is a safe choice, and 'Torimon' was once unpopular but is now appreciated (according to my research), so even if it's called a new specialty, it may feel a bit strange, but it won't disappoint. In 2023, it's a safe bet."

During my trip to Fukuoka, I was intrigued by the Press Butter Sand shop inside Hakata Station, so I decided to go on the last day. There were about 10 customers lining up in front of the shop. With only 2 staff members, one taking orders and handling the cash register, I had to wait quite a while. I was planning to buy the freshly baked butter sand, but when I lined up at 2:30 pm, the "Kokura An" which started selling at 1 pm was already sold out after 2 servings. I was so close, but it was disappointing. Since the freshly baked ones don't last long, I didn't buy them in a box, but bought them individually. I purchased 4 pieces of Amaou strawberries (248 yen each) and 4 plain ones (200 yen each). They advised me to carry them horizontally to prevent the cream from leaking out, so I brought them back in my carry-on luggage on the plane. However, when I took them out of the bag at home, the cream had slightly leaked out. The cookies were crispy, not too sweet, just right. The cream was also not too sweet. The Amaou strawberries and caramel were a good balance. It would be great if they lasted longer so they could be given as souvenirs to relatives or friends. I'm glad I got to try the Fukuoka-exclusive Amaou strawberries.

Press Butter Sand, located inside Hakata Station, was recommended by my husband who saw long lines when it first opened. However, when he went recently, there was no line and he brought some home as a souvenir. Unfortunately, the limited edition "Amaou Strawberry" flavor was sold out, so he got the standard one instead. The biscuit-like baked snack is filled with rich butter cream and caramel, creating a decadent treat that pairs well with a strong black coffee. Once I had one, I couldn't stop myself from indulging in this heavy but irresistible snack. It was a blissful snack time.

They bought me the expensive yet highly recommended butter sandwich again. When they bring this, my mood improves. They understand me well. ⭐️ Butter Sandwich ⭐️ Butter Sandwich with Amaou strawberries × 2. They even have a limited-time raspberry flavor. I wish they had bought me another box of that too! (*^^*) Amaou strawberries are made with strawberries from Fukuoka prefecture. With a combination of strawberry buttercream and strawberry butter caramel, the strawberry flavor spreads throughout your mouth with each bite, making it delicious. However, I prefer the normal butter sandwich with buttercream and caramel. The butter cookie has an indescribable texture and a sense of luxury. Oops! I forgot again and hurriedly ate it at room temperature, but if you chill it in the refrigerator, the cookie maintains its crispy texture while the cream inside becomes richer and gooey, changing the texture and making it even more delicious. 😉

There was a butter sandwich shop at Hakata Station. Next to it was a canelé shop. I had planned to buy canelé on the way back when I passed by, but around 5:30 pm, the sign was already out of stock. The shop next door had people lining up, so I decided to get a butter sandwich instead. They had normal, chestnut, white, and amaou strawberry butter sandwiches. I bought a pack of 5 normal ones for 1026 yen to take home. The pressed butter sandwich had buttercream sandwiched between sweet cookies. It was delicious. While enjoying it, the staff suggested, "We also sell amaou strawberries or chestnuts separately. Would you like to try them?" They were quite persuasive! I ended up buying the amaou strawberry butter sandwich for 248 yen. Eventually, due to strong winds affecting the flight, I brought the butter sandwich home instead of eating it at the airport. I thought I could eat it anytime at home, but when I went to have it later, it was mysteriously gone. (/ _ ; ) What a shame.

This time, I visited a shop that my son had bought from before and was the most delicious. I had decided to visit when I went to Hakata. Being directionally challenged, I had trouble finding it within the station building... With the Shinkansen departure time approaching, I asked another shop for directions and finally arrived. Oh dear... I had passed by here before without noticing... It was 4:30 PM but not crowded, and the staff informed me that if I spent over 2,000 yen, I could get a 200 yen discount by becoming LINE friends. Lucky me! I had been wanting to try the limited edition Hakata amaou strawberry pressed butter with 9 pieces for 2,235 yen, but with the discount, it came to 2,035 yen. I was delighted as I had been looking forward to trying it. It is said to be delicious even when chilled, and with a shelf life of about 2 weeks, it's just right. The rich flavor of amaou strawberries in the butter sandwich gives it a luxurious touch. I shared some with my friends, and they were pleased. However, you can also buy regular pressed butter in Osaka.

I had been wanting to try the limited edition Amaou strawberry press butter sandwich at this shop for a while. When I asked the staff, they said they could sell me just one, which was surprising because these sandwiches are quite expensive! I got one that was freshly baked, but unfortunately, the butter inside was too melty for my liking. I prefer it when the butter is chilled and firm, like with the Marseille butter sandwich. I also bought the limited edition lemon flavor, which was a bit pricey but worth it. I tried it at the airport and the butter was cool and refreshing, which I liked. It was my first time trying the lemon flavor, and it was so delicious and refreshing! I don't have a shop near my home that sells these, so whenever I come to the city, I take the opportunity to buy them. Eating these sandwiches always makes me feel happy. Thank you for the meal.

My son found a delicious souvenir from Hakata and was delighted. A friend told me that it is also sold in department stores in Osaka! It seems quite popular nationwide. I think I've seen it before in magazines or on Instagram. But I am grateful that my son bought press butter sand as a souvenir from Hakata for our home. Press Butter Sand is a popular product that is expanding nationwide. It consists of 6 pieces of butter sand, which has a crispy cookie dough with rich butter cream caramel. There are also 3 pieces of lemon butter sand, which has the same dough with a hint of lemon flavor and chewy fruit pulp. Additionally, there are 3 pieces of lemon butter cake, which has a moist texture and a delicious blend of butter and lemon cream caramel. The total cost is 3240 yen. They are very generous. Next time, I will request the limited edition Amaou strawberry butter sand from Fukuoka Prefecture.

My partner bought it for me, so I'm not sure about the atmosphere of the store. The reviews from other customers have been quite positive, so I was curious. They sell it at Hakata Station, so I asked my partner to get it for me. They came back with a 9-piece box instead of the 5-piece one I asked for. It was a bit pricey at 1710 yen. The packaging looked cool with grey and bright red colors. The cookies were smaller than I expected, with chocolate coating, buttercream, and caramel inside. It goes well with whiskey on the rocks. It was delicious, but not a must-have. It was a bit expensive, but still enjoyable.

At the Press Butter Sand Hakata Station store, there was a limited edition "Butter Sand Chestnut" available. You can enjoy freshly baked Butter Sand with chestnut (248 yen). The cookie dough comes in two varieties, chestnut-colored and plain, sandwiched together. The buttercream is mixed with chestnut paste, giving it a gentle sweetness and natural bitterness of chestnut. When you take a bite, the gentle sweetness and natural bitterness of chestnut spread, making it very delicious.

I had decided that I absolutely had to get souvenirs from here! To celebrate the first anniversary of "PRESS BUTTER SAND," they are offering a set of moist Satsuma sweet potato cake with a hint of mandarin orange fragrance and 9 Amaou strawberries for 3000 yen! I'm definitely buying it (laughs). The moist Satsuma sweet potato cake has a refreshing aftertaste with the scent of mandarin oranges. The Hakata Station store also sells freshly baked items! When I bought it, there were no other customers, so I was able to take my time, but soon there was a line forming. It's a popular shop!

This is a butter sandwich cookie shop located on the first floor concourse of Hakata Station. I took a day trip to Yamaguchi by Shinkansen on this day, so before heading home, I decided to buy some butter sandwiches to take home from here. They were selling two types: regular butter sandwich and a Kyushu limited edition amaou strawberry flavor. Since it was for home consumption, I bought a 5-piece pack of each, costing 1000 yen for the butter sandwich and 1242 yen for the amaou strawberry flavor. The butter sandwich is a crispy cookie filled with butter cream and butter caramel. The amaou strawberry flavor butter sandwich is a Kyushu limited edition version made with Fukuoka-grown amaou strawberries in butter cream and butter caramel. The shop is located on the first floor concourse of Hakata Station. Inside the concourse of Hakata Station, there is a shop operated by BAKE that sells freshly baked cheese items, including the "Pressed Butter Sand". When I visited around 9 am, I was informed that the freshly baked items would be available for purchase starting at 10 am, so I couldn't get one at that time. I ended up buying a boxed version for souvenirs. The thick, crispy cookie dough is filled with a two-layered cream and caramel. When you break it open, the caramel oozes out slowly. The gentle sweetness of butter and caramel, along with the balance of cream, made it very delicious. Later that evening, I passed by the shop again and this time I was able to purchase the freshly baked "Kyushu limited Amaou strawberry" version. The freshly baked dough was much more crispy and soft compared to the room temperature one, crumbling delicately. I personally love this crispy, crumbly texture of freshly baked items. The dough of the "Amaou strawberry" version also had a strawberry flavor. Inside, there was a strawberry caramel cream and a strawberry cream. It wasn't too sweet, and I might even prefer it over the caramel one. The packaging is cute too, making it a great souvenir. I would love to try other flavors as well. Since you can purchase just one freshly baked item, I might find myself wanting to try more every time I pass by.

I had a business trip to Hakata and in the morning, I received a message saying "They sell butter sandwiches at Hakata Station, so please buy some for me~". So, I went to Hakata Station at 10:30 in the morning. After searching around the large station, I finally found it! There were only three people in line, lucky me. I heard someone say "The line is really long!" but maybe it's because of the impact of the new coronavirus situation. I bought the butter sandwich and the limited edition Amaou strawberry butter sandwich. They were delicious! \(^^)/

Wow!! I was so surprised to see that the souvenir snack I wanted from Tokyo is now being sold at Hakata Station! The limited edition Amao Butter Sand with 5 pieces for ¥1,242 and the regular Butter Sand with 5 pieces for ¥1,000. I exchanged with a friend to get a mix of both. Unfortunately, the black one was sold out by early afternoon. The Amao strawberry flavor has a nice aroma with a hint of sweet and sour from the strawberry paste, and the buttercream is delicious. The cookies are 2 cm thick and have a crunchy texture. I tried eating them whole at first, then opened one to eat the cookie separately. The Butter Sand also has buttercream and caramel paste, giving it a slight caramel flavor. There was a short line at the store, but I was able to purchase the snacks in under 5 minutes. You can see them shaping and baking the cookies in the store. The crunchy texture of the cookies is amazing. It seems like they press and bake them like taiyaki, without using an oven. Overall, there is a subtle buttery aroma and richness to the snacks. Surprisingly, they are light and easy to enjoy. I have a feeling I will become addicted to the crunchy texture of the cookies.

On the third day of my business trip, December 9th, 2019, I was in souvenir mode on my way back, so I came to Mainichi at Hakata Station in the morning after buying the famous castella cake. This shop is also found in Tokyo, and I have tried their products there before. They have also expanded to Yamagata with their products being featured at the delicious food market early in the new year. However, at this shop, they were selling a limited edition product with Amaou strawberries from Kyushu, so I lined up to get it. Despite the long line in the morning, since this shop specializes in selling a single product, the wait was surprisingly short.
- Butter Sand with Amaou Strawberries (5 pieces for 1000 yen)
I enjoyed it at home. Inside, there is cream and strawberry sauce. The crispy texture of the pastry is filled with a strong buttery flavor. Perhaps because the strawberries are kneaded into the dough, the surface has a slight red color. The strawberry sauce inside also adds a delicious touch. It was a delightful treat. Thank you.

I heard that there is always a long line at the Press Butter Sand store in Hakata Station, Fukuoka. When I passed by today, there were only 5 people waiting, so I couldn't resist joining the line! The store is located in the middle of the central passage between Hakata Exit and Chikushi Exit. It landed in Kyushu for the first time on October 18, 2019, with the opening of the Hakata Station store. As a commemoration, they are selling "Butter Sand (Amaou Strawberry)" as a limited flavor only available at the Hakata store. A box of 5 Butter Sand (Amaou Strawberry) costs 1,242 yen (excluding tax). Inside the store, there are facilities for baking Butter Sand, and you can also purchase a freshly baked Butter Sand for 170 yen each, available exclusively at this store. The Butter Sand (Amaou Strawberry) with buttercream mixed with Amaou strawberries sandwiched between crispy caramel cookies is just the right amount of sweetness and perfect for a coffee break snack. It comes in a pink box, making it a great little gift idea. Thank you for the delicious treat.
