When I came to Osaka on a business trip and wanted to eat seasonal eel, I searched for a nearby eel restaurant and ended up here. The eel was delicious, but they also offered a complimentary half bowl of beef which was also tasty. I will definitely come back when I visit Osaka again.

First of all, the concept and atmosphere of the restaurant feel a bit lacking. When it comes to an eel restaurant (a high-end ingredient), I believe a certain level of establishment is necessary, considering it's not cheap. It's like asking if you would find sushi delicious at a place where the staff wears jerseys. As for the eel itself, the quality seems average but the grilling technique needs improvement. The rice is too dry and hard to eat with the eel, and it seems like they haven't chosen the right type of rice for eel dishes. The miso soup tastes too much like instant soup, which is disappointing. I have doubts about the previous reviews and I hope for improvement with more serious effort.

We went as a family with children. What a surprise, a restaurant that welcomes families with children! I had never heard of such an eel restaurant before! We were shown to a beautiful private room and enjoyed a hearty meal of eel. The eel was fluffy and the rice was cooked just right. You could choose between two types of sauce, Kansai-style and Kanto-style, and have as much as you like! My husband's dish had a dashi broth (hitsumabushi) that was also delicious on its own. They also offer a children's lunch menu with finely chopped eel that the kids loved. And on top of that, the generous owner treated us to extra eel sushi rolls and A5 grade Wagyu beef as a service... And to top it off, the children received a toy as a gift! Isn't that amazing? We were so impressed with the amount and quality for the price. I've been recommending it to all my mom friends!
