Visit on May 6, 2022. A popular restaurant that requires reservations. Chose this restaurant for some barbecue after a long time. Made a reservation for 20:20 and it was almost fully booked. Looking forward to trying new menu items every time I come here. This time, I got hooked on the "Carbonated × Crushed Jelly" drink.

I went to the popular Yakiniku King restaurant out of curiosity. I heard about it from an acquaintance and also saw a TV special about it on the same day. It was difficult to make a reservation, but I finally got one for 10 days later at 7 pm. I went there despite feeling unwell that day. I tried the 2980 yen King course without alcohol. My impression is that I won't be going back there again. The horumon (offal) was not good, it was heavily marinated and it was hard to tell if it was cooked or not. The variety of options was good, but the portion size was small and the menu was limited. It was an experience to visit a popular restaurant, but I felt like it's the kind of place you go to after a club activity. Surprisingly, I didn't get a stomachache the next morning. It was an intense flavor experience at the yakiniku restaurant, with thin and sticky meat that sticks to the grill and flames shooting up when you cook it. Eating the meat with the sauce was quite an adventure.

Lunch Buffet Yakiniku King @ Higashi Sumiyoshi Visited the grave in the morning on August 9, 2021!! Had a cheap yakiniku lunch buffet with my nieces. Started with salted tongue (pork) but then got addicted to grilled harami (pork), grilled bara kalbi (sauce), grilled loin (salt), etc. The price was 1980 yen for 90 minutes, but got a senior discount of 300 yen, haha. They stopped serving alcohol, so had soup and shoe ice cream to fill up. Since it was rainy, went home to clean and do laundry. It's been almost a year since I last visited Yakiniku King. We had the Premium Course for 4,378 yen plus all-you-can-drink soft drinks for 429 yen, totaling 4,807 yen. This is the course we always get at King (*^^*) It's a good deal because you can eat domestic beef for under 5,000 yen per person. Well, my boys don't eat that much, so I'm not sure if we're getting our money's worth, but I love buffets and all-you-can-eat because you can try a little bit of everything. Due to the measures against the spread of COVID-19, the restaurant now closes at 8 pm and doesn't serve alcohol. We arrived at 6:30 pm, had to wait about 15 minutes, so the actual eating time was around 1 hour. It's no problem for us since we usually only stay for about an hour anyway. The system seems to have changed a bit, as the staff only showed us to our table and we had to order our course through a touch panel. And a robot brought our food! It was cute walking unsteadily towards our table.

Visited with a reservation before the 8:00 pm closing time. Upon arrival at around 6:50 pm, there were a few customers already seated. The seating area felt more open as the barriers were removed, allowing a clear view of the other customers. Personally, I preferred the previous setup. It might be a good idea to call ahead to confirm if they are serving alcohol and their operating hours, as many people seem to be concerned about that. What surprised me during this visit was the introduction of serving robots! They would respond with a mechanical voice saying "Here you go" as they brought the dishes and even collected empty plates. The seating area felt more open without barriers, providing a refreshing atmosphere. With each visit, there is always something new to discover, keeping the experience from getting dull. My number of reviews keeps increasing, haha.

When I asked young people what they wanted to eat, they said they wanted to go to Kinugawa, so I decided to try it out since I had never been there before. I made a reservation so we were able to enter smoothly, but it's definitely a popular place. The price of the meat was reasonable considering the quality. It's a busy restaurant, but the service was polite. They even had a robot waiter!

Visit on March 5, 2021. It's been about 5 months since my last visit. Despite the pandemic, I decided to go to a yakiniku restaurant known for its good ventilation! This is the place to go after work. The staff must be very busy, but they are all energetic, lively, and friendly in their customer service. It had been a while since I had yakiniku, so I ordered the premium course with all-you-can-drink soft drinks. I always have 6 servings of the drinkable dessert options. This time, the plate for cracking the egg into the yakiniku and sukiyaki was cute (laughs). I tried ordering the dessert with unlimited chocolate topping (forgot the name) for the first time, and it was delicious. Maybe it was a limited-time item. The performance is always great, so I enjoy myself here!

Visit on October 2, 2020. I always come to Hanakin and each time the menu is updated, so I never get bored. This time, I tried the "Pomegranate Soda" and "Green Apple Soda" from the "Korean Fair" menu, and they were delicious with a strong carbonation and a hint of vinegar. I also tried the limited-time sweets "Cheese Ball" and "Choco Churros", but they didn't really suit my taste. I always finish my meal with the "Yaki Sukiyaki", and I wish they had a choice of white rice specifically for the "Yaki Sukiyaki". I imagine about 5 pieces of rice the size of sushi rice, where I can dip the grilled meat in egg and eat it with the rice. Sometimes I have leftover egg, so I can mix the rice with it. While they do have rice as a side, I personally find the portion to be too much.

Visited on August 21, 2020. The menu changes every time I go, so I never get bored. I always start with milk mousse and enjoy three different kinds of milk mousse before moving on to the meat dishes (lol). Every menu item feels carefully prepared. Since it's summer, it's a must to finish with cold noodles!

I visited the restaurant right at the opening time (5:00 PM) and was seated promptly without much of a wait, despite there already being a few other groups of customers. It is recommended to make a reservation or use the online (EPARK) waiting list function if you cannot go early, as there can be a significant wait around 7:00 PM on weekdays. The menu had recently changed, and I was curious to see the new "4 specialties" that were announced to rotate by region starting from July 15th. I opted for the all-you-can-eat course, which included a choice of the King Salt Tongue (Bok) as a first-time drink. The course I chose was the most popular King course (2980 yen excluding tax). The dishes were served with a sauce dish, although the condiments that used to be on the table were missing this time. I started with the "4 specialties" and the renamed "Pot Pickled One-Harami" (which used to be the Dragon Harami Grilled), along with additional sauces, salad, kimchi, and namul. I accidentally slightly burnt the King Salt Tongue, which was not as tasty as I had hoped. The thick-cut Harami steak with garlic butter soy sauce was delicious, and I also tried the King Kalbi, which was a must-have. The Thick-Cut Top Sirloin Steak came with grated ponzu instead of steak sauce, and the size and thickness of the steak were noticeably larger this time. I also ordered the Pot Pickled One-Harami, which was slimmer than before. Overall, the meal was satisfying, especially with the generous portions of meat.

Visit on January 31, 2019. The repeat rate is quite high. They seem to really like this place (laughs). There are always limited-time products or special events whenever I go, so I never get bored. I always order the classic "yaki sukiyaki," but I felt like the sauce had changed a bit since my last visit, so I asked the staff about it. It was introduced on the MBS show "Sakagami & Sashihara's Unbreakable Shop ☆ Huge Line! Thorough Investigation of the Super Cheap All-You-Can-Eat Yakiniku King SP!" on 2/2 that the sauce has been changed several times. So maybe the sauce for the yaki sukiyaki I had on 1/31 was indeed different? They also introduced a thick-cut meat that I don't usually eat, so I might end up eating that a lot next time (laughs). This time, I only took a photo of the dessert.

Today's visit: I didn't think a reservation was necessary, but I'm glad I made one in advance! I arrived at 7:00 and there were over 10 people waiting near the entrance, but I was immediately guided in by saying "I had a reservation." It's payday, the end of the month at Hana Kin! It's also "Good Meat Day" on 11/29. The staff seemed busy, but the touch panel system made everything smooth without wasting time. When the staff came to change the grill net, their words really touched me. "Is there any item you ordered that hasn't arrived yet?" My companion was surprised and said, "I want to be the kind of person who can say things like that!" It's always exciting to see new limited-time items added to the menu.

Visit on September 6, 2019. Once again, I visited on a Friday night. I always make a reservation for 7:00 PM, so I can easily get in. Reservations are a must after 6:00 PM because it gets crowded. I didn't take any photos of the meat, but only of the dessert (laughs). I always go for the ¥2980 course and leave feeling full and satisfied. If it's limited time only, I have to order it, right? (laughs)

We made a reservation for Saturday evening with a group. It's better to make a reservation on weekends because there were already people waiting. All-you-can-eat somehow gets me excited and flustered, but the touch panel makes it easy for kids to order and the food comes quickly, so no stress! There are plenty of options, so it's nice to try a little bit of each meat to find your favorite. You can also request condiments like green onion salt or cheese fondue to change up the flavors, which is fun. It's great to be able to eat and have fun with everyone without any worries. Lately, King's restaurants have been increasing at a rapid pace, but I feel that the quality of the meat has clearly declined compared to a few years ago. To be honest, it has reached a level that is not much different from other all-you-can-eat places. Even the service has deteriorated, with reservations being made for 4 people but seating 6, and having to remind multiple times for drinks to be served. I understand that they are busy, but they are dropping the ball in various aspects. I used to give King's a 4-star rating before. It's disappointing.

When it comes to all-you-can-eat yakiniku, the image of poor quality, rubbery meat has been ingrained in the past. Even as an adult, I rarely went to yakiniku restaurants, but I heard good things about this place so I decided to give it a try. The interior of the restaurant is spacious and unified in black, with each table being clean and spacious. Cleanliness is something I pay attention to, and this place really scores high in that aspect! The staff are energetic and provide thorough explanations. I ordered the standard course (now called the King course). I personally think that harami (beef skirt steak) is the best, so I mainly ordered harami, while my husband ordered tongue, loin, and a variety of other cuts. The side dishes are plentiful and the portion sizes are small, so you can order a variety of items! My daughter (4 years old) has finally started eating meat properly recently, but before that, she would eat things like minced meat rice or sausages. The fact that children elementary school age and younger eat for free is amazing...! Each dish is delicious, which is great. The soups and hot pot dishes are also delicious. The spicy kalbi ramen allows you to choose the level of spiciness and is also tasty. The cold noodles and somen are refreshing and good. I haven't tried the bibimbap dishes yet, but the Cheese Stone Curry Keema Curry that was introduced in January this year caught my eye, so I might try it next time. The salad options are also plentiful, and there are seafood dishes as well. There are also fried chicken and a variety of other dishes, so you definitely can't finish everything in one go. There are also plenty of ice cream options. All of this for 3,218 yen is amazing! I have also used the lunch menu before, but the selection is quite limited (which is understandable for 1,980 yen), so I would recommend using the dinner menu. Some points to note are that I would like the staff to take away unwanted plates more promptly, and I don't want them to place meat right next to my child (I mean, there's space here, why put it there?). I also order chu-hi, and sometimes the taste can be a bit off, so I hope they can make it delicious every time. But overall, I am quite satisfied! I will definitely visit regularly ☺︎

I used it for a gathering with friends. The side menu was very extensive, which was great for me as I love side dishes. The meat was about the same as a regular yakiniku restaurant. However, with a wide variety of menu options, I think I would choose King 2 for comparison.

I think the pricing system may have changed a bit? I chose the cheaper course and it was quite good. The drink bar was self-service with a touch panel to select drinks, ice, condiments, and even change the grill net, which was convenient. The meat, such as harami pork (spicy), was surprisingly delicious. I had never thought that pork could taste so good at an all-you-can-eat barbecue restaurant. The spicy option was also available for hormone (intestines), which was quite good. The hormone had less fat but was still tasty. The kalbi and loin were typical choices for all-you-can-eat barbecue, but the dessert was great with the option to order multiple times and the portion size was just right. The Caesar salad was satisfying and delicious. In many all-you-can-eat barbecue restaurants, the experience is usually so-so, but this place was quite enjoyable and had a good value for the price.
