The restaurant is located a 2-3 minute walk north from JR Loop Line Temma Station. Upon entering the shop, you will be guided to the counter seats on the 1st floor. There are also seats available on the 2nd floor. Start off with a lemon sour as a toast. The appetizer is a mix of roasted nuts. Place your order at the self-service counter. We tried the specialty homemade cheese tsukune and Carousel's creamy taccarbie as our dishes. The Carousel's creamy taccarbie consists of creamy leek, pickled radish, leek, and a quail egg on top. Mix it all together, wrap it in seasoned seaweed, and enjoy the combination of flavors. The homemade cheese tsukune features a tsukune grilled over an open flame topped with shaved cheese. Dip it in the yolk for a delicious experience. The combination of the chicken meat, cheese, and yolk creates a great flavor. We also added a Black Nikka highball to our order. Let's continue eating and drinking a bit more. We ordered the bias set and three types of specialty grilled skewers. The beef harami is grilled over an open flame, offering a deliciously smoky flavor. The pork-wrapped shrimp has a crispy shrimp wrapped in pork. Squeeze some lemon over it before enjoying. The firm shrimp and the savory pork create a delightful combination. Lastly, we tried the chicken tenderloin skewer, which offers a taste of meat, fat, and smokiness. This time, we dropped by for a casual meal and drink. We look forward to returning for more delicious dishes grilled over an open flame. Thank you for the meal.

This is a place where the charcoal-grilled food is delicious, called "Maki-yaki Shokudo Carousel". If you check their Instagram account, @carousel_maki_b, Carousel Maki? The name is easy to remember, especially for those who remember the old sister. It is located in Ura Temma, right next to Tenma Market, making it easily accessible. Drinks are cheap! Lemon sour is only 110 yen all day long. They also have a happy hour with great deals on beer/highball. The smoky aroma of the charcoal-grilled food goes well with alcohol. The skewers, especially the cheese-stuffed tsukune, are delicious. The thick shrimp and the savory aroma of the oysters are also great. The combination of the soft texture and sweetness of the toro-taku (fatty pork) with pickled radish goes well with alcohol. The hot and fluffy wagyu beef dashimaki tamago (rolled omelet) is flavored with a sweet and savory sauce. The "Ankoroppotesara" dish, which combines sweet red bean paste with potato salad, is surprisingly delicious. The luxurious charcoal-grilled rice ball with a gooey egg yolk in the middle is a must-try. The beef tendon and beef tongue simmered in beef tail broth are cooked until tender. Lemon sour is only 110 yen all day long. The happy hour is also available. Carousel Maki offers beautifully presented and delicious dishes that will leave you fully satisfied and wanting to come back for more.

I visited the restaurant around 20 minutes before its opening time at 12 o'clock on Saturday. There were about 10 people waiting, but I was able to get in on the first round. The restaurant is clean and popular among young people in Ura Temma. Lemon sour is only 110 yen, so I enjoyed drinking without worrying about the bill. They cook using firewood, so you can enjoy the nice aroma of firewood while savoring the grilled skewers. I went for the first time, but there was no super happy hour with a photo of a Tabelog coupon. When I asked if I could upgrade to a mega size, I was told that they no longer offer that service. Even though the expiration date is November 30th. It may be a good idea to inquire in advance by phone or other means. Update: Despite being told that the service had ended, as of January 2023, there is a coupon for the super happy hour on the coupon page. It is possible that the service has been revived, so if you were thinking of going after seeing this review or coupon, it would be wise to inquire at the store or by phone just to be sure. I'm not sure if they had the mega size, but from what I saw, the large beer mugs were already in the refrigerator, and the beer served seemed smaller than usual. This is just my subjective feeling, so it may be my imagination. It didn't feel like the usual Premium Malt glass. I don't drink highballs much, so I opted for the lemon sour which is always 100 yen regardless of time. It was my first time tasting it, and I was impressed by the slight difference in taste between the lemon flavor and the alcohol content. The store, with its vertical layout, had its doors wide open, perhaps for ventilation. It was November, so the cold air hit me directly, and I felt like I was freezing. When I mentioned that it was cold, the staff raised the temperature of the heating. However, it was still too cold, so I asked to be seated at a table in the back instead of the counter, and finally, they closed the door. If there is no ventilation manual, I would have preferred them to close the door immediately. I tried to endure the cold for infection prevention, but I couldn't stand it, so I asked to be moved. I thought the taste of dishes like cheese-stuffed chicken meatballs and pork-wrapped shrimp was good, but isn't the issue before that? It was disappointing in many ways.

Osaka JR Loop Line Temma Station is a 4-5 minute walk away. This restaurant serves delicious charcoal-grilled and izakaya dishes! I tried their famous tsukune for 385 yen, torotaku for 418 yen, and wagyu shigure dashi maki for 495 yen. All the dishes are cheap but delicious, and they look great too! Temma is definitely a place with good cost performance, with many affordable and tasty restaurants. Thank you for the meal! Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 4 pm to 11 pm, and Saturday, Sunday, and holidays from 12 pm to 11 pm. Closed on: None.

In August 2022, I went for a casual drink with a friend at "Firewood Dining Carousel" located on the lantern street in Ura Temma. There are quite a few happy hour deals available on weekends in this area, so we arrived early at 5:30 pm. (I think it's until 6:00 pm on weekends?) However, this place offers lemon sours for 110 yen all day, so for someone like me who doesn't drink much beer, I'm fine without focusing on happy hour. We were seated at a table and made a toast with lemon sours. The items we ordered this time are as follows: - Lemon sour x3 (110 yen each) - The appetizer was egg tofu with quail eggs inside. - Chicken tenderloin (165 yen each) - Pork belly (198 yen each) - Chicken thigh with skin (209 yen each) - Rare liver (275 yen each) - Homemade cheese meatball (385 yen each, shared among 3 people) - Green pepper (330 yen) - Firewood-grilled chashu (528 yen) - Carousel's special fatty tuna side dish (418 yen) The skewers were delicious, and the firewood-grilled chashu was amazing. There is a restaurant in front of the market (Plara Temma) in Temma. It's been a while since I last had a drink in Temma. Charcoal-grilled dishes seemed to be a bit of a trend a few years ago, but it's hard to find places that serve them now. I sometimes crave for the unique aroma of grilled skewers. The restaurant has counter seats in the front on the first floor, table seats in the back, and even a second floor. I was surprised when I saw the menu. A lemon sour for 110 yen! (tax included) Amazing. I opted for a highball at 385 yen. I also ordered Carousel's creamy appetizer for 418 yen, corned beef namero for 528 yen, charcoal-grilled chashu for 528 yen, spicy mixed ramen for 572 yen, and the mysterious "Ankoroppo Potato Salad" for 418 yen. I thought I made a mistake ordering the potato salad with red bean paste, but surprisingly, it was delicious! The chashu was also good, and considering the prices, it's a place I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

A recently popular izakaya restaurant that cooks with firewood. It is located near the entrance of Ura Temma Chochin Street. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by the pleasant aroma of firewood and the smell of skewers being grilled, which immediately lifted my spirits. The appetizer was a small bottle of egg tofu. The dishes cooked over firewood had a smoky flavor that paired well with alcohol and whetted my appetite. Despite having opened in June, the restaurant was almost full on a Saturday afternoon! Skewers ranged from 140 to 450 yen and included homemade tsukune, chicken neck, jumbo shrimp, beef harami, thick-cut bacon, rare liver, and more. The homemade tsukune was made with ground chicken and had a crunchy cartilage texture inside, topped with cheese. It came with an egg yolk for dipping, which was delicious. The skewers were firm but flavorful, with the chicken neck standing out. The beef sukiyaki rolled in dashi was topped with plenty of beef, offering a generous portion. The beef sukiyaki flavor infused the rice, with a generous amount of raw meat on top. The Monaka shell contained croquette potato salad, topped with sweet bean paste, creating a unique and delicious combination. It also included Iburi Gakko, adding a smoky aroma and crunchy texture. Other dishes included beef harami seared yukhoe, chicken wing tempura (1 piece), Unzen ham cutlet, luxurious fire-grilled rice ball, Carousel's creamy octopus side dish, and beef tendon and tongue stew.

In front of a high-rise building, there is Temma Market ✨ Inside the slightly dim market, there are many eateries crowded together, each with a strong Asian atmosphere. The unique appearances and names of the shops are interesting and make you curious. After walking around once, I found a new restaurant that opened on June 3rd ✨ The modern interior of wood and concrete has a counter, high tables, and regular tables. Their specialty is charcoal-grilled skewers, and they also offer other interesting menu items. I ordered the "Ankoroppo" (deep-fried minced meat and vegetables), potato salad with sweet bean paste, and a luxurious charcoal-grilled rice ball topped with thinly sliced fish cake, tobiko, and salmon roe. The combination was surprisingly delicious and harmonious. The menu is reasonably priced, and the portions are generous, allowing for an enjoyable dining experience. Recently, "Ura Temma" has gained media attention and attracted tourists, but in the past, it was a bustling area for locals. With new shops opening and blending into the traditional townscape, it was a unique and enjoyable atmosphere. ✨

The location is Temma. It's been a while since we went out drinking seriously. Went out drinking in Temma with my usual group. I say "usual" but there are a few different groups. We decided to start at a place where one person will join us later, so we chose a place that seemed light. The recently opened restaurant is called "Mokibi Shokudo Carousel". There was only one group inside. It's still daytime so maybe that's why. Anyway, we cheered with draft beer! You can drink highballs starting from 220 yen. We ordered the famous Cheese Tsukune for 300 yen, Char Siu for 480 yen, and Toro Taku for 380 yen. The Toro Taku had quail eggs so I couldn't eat it. The tsukune and char siu were pretty good. The price is reasonable and the drinks are not expensive. This place is relatively easy to go to at any stage from the first to the last stop. The bill was less than 5000 yen for three people. I think it's a safe choice with few disappointments and enjoyable overall.

The homemade tsukune with the scent of firewood is a meaty type. The cheese adds richness and saltiness to the homemade tsukune, and it's delicious when mixed with the egg yolk. - Fire-grilled chashu (480 yen): The chashu with the scent of firewood is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. - Beef tongue (280 yen) - Skin-on chicken thigh (190 yen) I forgot to try the "fire-grilled rice ball" for the finale, so I'll have to go back again soon!"
