At Umeda Links, there is a seafood and yakitori restaurant called Suzune. I was drawn in by their "Choi-nomi set." The Choi-nomi set costs 1,100 yen and comes with 3 yakitori skewers, with the option of either edamame or spicy cucumber. For drinks, you can choose from draft beer, highball, or shochu highball. I mistakenly thought the yakitori skewers would be chicken, but they were actually shiitake mushrooms, scallops, and konjac. While I can eat grilled shiitake mushrooms, they are not my favorite. I wish the menu would clearly specify the contents of the skewers.

The access is good, making it convenient for meeting up at the station until the last minute. The counter is easy to find, with a wide variety of drinks available for solo dining. There are plenty of alcohol options for those who enjoy drinking. The food comes out quickly and everything we ordered was delicious.

I stopped by Suzune at Links Umeda on July 21, 2023. I decided to have lunch in Umeda and headed to the delicious food alley on the B1F of Links. Since the rainy season is over and it's getting hot, I didn't have much of an appetite, so I chose something light. - Tuna Yukhoe Don: The rice was normal with vinegar, which was good. The portion was quite large even for a regular size, so I couldn't finish it, sorry. - Tuna: It was okay, neither good nor bad, just average and tasty. - Akadashi: The red miso flavor was strong, but the dashi was not very noticeable. - Hiya Yakko: A classic dish with green onions and bonito flakes, nothing special. I realized after ordering that it was not the restaurant I intended to visit. Thank you for the meal.

LINKS Umeda, located on the basement floor, in the food court. Ordering the Gyoza and Karaage set meal for ¥850 may seem cheap, but the service is incredibly slow. Waiting for over 20 minutes during lunchtime can be tough, especially for busy office workers. The miso soup is made by a machine, and the gyoza and karaage seem to be of frozen food quality, which leaves much to be desired. The salad portion is very small, barely enough to taste. Perhaps the quality improves in the evening... hoping for better experiences in the future.

I used it for lunch on a holiday. It is a store located inside Links Umeda, so it is one of several stores. The food arrived smoothly after ordering. I was able to enjoy it. I had the samgyupsal bowl.

While thinking about what to have for dinner, I stopped by a restaurant called Links and was lured in by a cute lady's invitation (lol). All the staff here are cute and energetic! They seemed to specialize in Japanese sake, but I had already spent my budget for the day so I had to save money and ordered a highball, which was written in big letters. I wanted to eat oden. But I realized I always end up eating something like oden under the name of simmered dish, so I ordered gyoza. But I still wanted some eggs and daikon. And maybe some thick fried tofu too. Oden before gyoza. Yeah, that's right. Just transfer it from the pot to the plate. I was hoping for it to be piping hot, but it wasn't at all. There was no steam coming out. I couldn't resist and quickly ate the daikon. But it was delicious with a strong flavor. I ended up getting full here, but the gyoza hasn't arrived yet. It must be cooking, so canceling is not an option (lol). I ordered the gyoza with lots of green onions, mayo, and ponzu sauce, but it was a mistake. It lost the essence of gyoza. And since it was covered with lots of green onions and ponzu sauce, it wasn't even hot (lol). I should have just gone with the regular option. When it came time to pay, I thought "ouch", but the culprit was the gyoza! If I had just stuck with the oden, it would have only cost me 1500 yen. And I forgot to take a picture of the gyoza (lol).

After shopping in Umeda, I decided to have lunch at this restaurant because the staff's invitation was good. I chose the salmon bowl because I love fatty salmon. It came with miso soup and cold tofu. The slices of salmon were cut generously, giving a satisfying texture. The fat content was decent. I used to always go to a different place for salmon bowls, but the way they cut and the quality of the salmon changed, so I stopped going. I love salmon bowls with plenty of fat, so I hope to find another favorite restaurant. It's hard to come across one. By the way, the restaurant serves cold water in a tumbler, which was interesting and different from usual. It's a clean restaurant inside Link's Umeda, and they have a wide selection of alcohol, so I imagine it gets lively at night. It would be good for those who enjoy drinking.

Today, I had a light meal of yakitori. I enjoyed it at the seafood izakaya "Mijunsai Rinne LINKSUMEDA" located in the basement of Osaka Umeda, LINKSUMEDA store. There are counter seats near the entrance facing the corridor, and table seats in the back. While taking a break and wandering around somewhere, I noticed a sign for a "drinking set" and stopped. The drinking set includes 3 types of yakitori, one small dish, and one drink for 1,000 yen. You can choose from draft beer, highball, or shochu highball for the drink, and options for the small dish include teppanyaki edamame, octopus with wasabi, and spicy cucumber. It's really just for a light drink. The amount of draft beer was quite small, like a glass of beer, so I switched to Corona beer for the second drink. The variety of yakitori was rich, with different seasonings depending on the ingredients, and quite delicious. However, due to the location, the cost performance is not great, but that's understandable. It's a great location near Osaka Station, so it's a good place for a casual drink.

In the middle of drinking and hopping around Umeda, on a Sunday night, everywhere in the underground area of Links was packed and lively. We decided to try a new place we hadn't been before. It's a long and narrow shop, but there are tables all the way to the back, so we could sit comfortably. We ordered skewers and other dishes, saying our stomachs were already full. We only had one drink each and then headed home. It's conveniently located with lots of other restaurants nearby, so I recommend it. Thank you for the delicious meal ♡

I met up with my drinking buddies in Umeda for the first time in a while! Since it was still early, and hot, we decided to go somewhere where we could start drinking right away... We went to "Bijunsai Suzune LINKS UMEDA" located in the basement of Yodobashi Camera for the first time! It's a beautiful restaurant!!! This place seems to specialize in fresh seafood dishes and creative grilled skewers! We ordered a light drinking set recommended by the staff! It came with edamame, smashed cucumber, 3 skewers, and a draft beer. We toasted with the draft beer!!! A cold beer really hits the spot on a hot day!!! The skewers in the set were quite delicious too!!! We decided to try the sashimi platter which was also delicious! The botan shrimp was incredibly tasty!!! The salmon roe was also good! We felt like having some cold sake, so we ordered that too! One of my friends wanted to have shrimp tempura, so we ordered that too! It was freshly fried and super tasty!!! The bacon quail eggs were also good!!! We were in a good mood, so we decided to go to karaoke next!!! Thank you for the meal!!!

The other evening, I met up with a friend for drinks in Umeda without deciding on a specific place. We ended up stopping by the underground shopping area at Links Umeda! There were so many different food stalls, it was surprising! We visited a place called Suzune for our bar hopping adventure. The bar counter was really cool and the atmosphere was great. We started off with a toast and ordered dishes like Thai and shiso salted kombu, tuna yukke, grilled squid legs with butter soy sauce, eggplant, shiitake mushrooms, green peppers, white leeks, and snapper cheese. We ordered quite a bit, but my personal favorite was the tuna yukke - it was really delicious! The variety of grilled skewers was also impressive, especially the vegetable skewers. The service was excellent, and the staff's yukata-like uniforms were a nice touch. I'll definitely visit again when I'm in the area. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

We picked a restaurant in the underground delicious food alley that we had never been to before. The drink menu had a cover made of bamboo, which opened like a samurai's letter as you flipped through it. The chopsticks were also lovely bamboo, the drink glasses were titanium tumblers, and the dishes were carefully chosen. Although there were seats available at the counter, we chose a table in the back as we had some luggage. We ordered: - Premium Malt Aroma Ale x2 - Premium Malt Master's Dream x2 - Avocado and Tomato Salad - Sweet Shrimp Dumplings - Assorted Skewers (shiitake mushroom, seared scallop with salmon roe, sea bream cheese, eggplant, konjac with fish roe) - Scallop Butter We shared these dishes between two people, totaling around 5900 yen. The skewers had 2 pieces each, so we shared them all, and they were all delicious! Especially the sea bream, konjac, and scallop were fantastic! Although we mainly ordered beer that day because we were thirsty, they also seemed to have a good selection of sake. I was particularly happy to see that they had Harushika's "Sakura" sake. The female staff were cute and friendly, making this a convenient place for a casual drink and meal in the Umeda area.

The sashimi platter seemed to have an odd smell, maybe because it was previously frozen and thawed. Finally, the seafood salad arrived, but the avocado was not fully thawed and had a crunchy texture. The bill was quite high with cover charge included, and I regretted going there. It was my first time experiencing such disappointment at a restaurant. The limited menu options and the mediocre quality of the dishes were disappointing. The restaurant seemed to be struggling with low customer turnout, possibly due to not serving alcohol, which I initially thought was commendable. However, the quality of the food should be the priority. I hope they can improve and attract more customers in the future after the restrictions are lifted.

The presentation was similar to the menu photo, but I was slightly disappointed as it was too detailed. I wish they had arranged it so that the rice wasn't visible. I ordered dishes that would pair well with beer, such as a platter of oden, sweet shrimp dumplings, and grilled skewers. The oden was the most delicious among them all.

The first place was so bad that I needed something to make up for it. Even in a big city like Osaka, it's hard to choose a good restaurant. When I went to Lucua Balcika, there were very few places open. Finally, I found a place where I could drink at Oishii Monogatari Yokocho. It was a stylish "Japanese" restaurant with all the staff in traditional Japanese uniforms. They had a casual drinking set for 1,000 yen, with three skewers and one drink. My friend had a highball and I had a lemon sour, to toast for the second time today. We also had some octopus with wasabi, which tasted fresh and delicious. I tried the super carbonated highball, which was impressive with the variety of whiskey and sake displayed on the shelves. It was a cozy bar where you could enjoy drinks with light snacks.
