On this day, I attended a seminar on "Money and Savings" at the ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel. After the seminar, all participants gathered at the main dining area on the 1st floor of the hotel for a meal. The restaurant was hosting a "Crown Steak Lunch Buffet" event. Upon entering, the spacious floor layout allowed for ample space between tables, creating a sense of openness. In the past, I had attended a wine event with over 50 participants, where the food mainly consisted of tapas-style dishes. For lunch, there was a variety of dishes available, with a focus on beef steak and a total of 35 items on the buffet menu. Due to the current situation with the pandemic, guests were required to wear masks and vinyl gloves while serving themselves at the buffet. The steaks were served individually with a choice of two sauces, and they were lean, tender, and delicious. There were many dishes served in small plates, making it easy to try a variety of items. Guests could also serve themselves curry, salads, sandwiches, pasta, and pizza. The pickles served in small bottles were cute and made me crave alcohol. There were around 10 drink options, including a refreshing sweet green tea that stood out to me. The desserts included 15 varieties, with a focus on fruit jellies for the early summer season, as well as canelés in matcha and citrus flavors. The canelés were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they disappeared quickly once served. The fruit platter was not available when I went to get it, and it only appeared towards the end of my meal, which was disappointing. The coffee, served from a pot for self-service, was delicious. Overall, I enjoyed a high-quality dining experience typical of a first-class hotel. The buffet prices were ¥2,700 for adults on weekdays and ¥2,950 on weekends and holidays, with discounts for elementary school children and free admission for preschoolers. GOTO EAT tickets were accepted.
