I didn't realize this kind of restaurant existed. My daughter wanted to go, so I made a reservation and we went. It was a small place with only one other group there on a weekday, so we could enjoy our time leisurely. We were lucky to get a sparkling wine with a coupon for our reservation. My daughter wanted to eat a lot of prosciutto, so we ordered a mixed appetizer plate and a pasta with cream sauce. We told them the ingredients we didn't like, and they surprised us with a delicious dish made from the ingredients available that day. There was also a dish with chicken and cheese that was steamed and then baked. I can't remember the name. I had a mega highball and my daughter had a cocktail, and all of this only cost us 5000 yen, which is quite cheap. The pâté de campagne in the mixed appetizer plate was so delicious that I want to eat it again. We were so full and happy. We will definitely visit again.

I had a lunch set menu which included Spaghetti Vongole, soup, salad, drink (iced coffee), and dessert. I used a half-price coupon from the May issue of My Town magazine (or the Free More app), so I got the main dish plus the set of 4 items for a total of 5 items for 980 yen including tax, which was just under 1000 yen and I was very satisfied. The menu stated that you should choose 2 items for the set menu, but in reality, you could choose as many as you wanted. The soup was a traditional consommé soup with egg, wakame seaweed, and onions. It was a bit salty, but I like strong flavors so it was okay for me. The salad was very generous in portion and using the coupon made it even more worth it. It included lettuce and red cabbage, potato salad, marinated bell peppers, zucchini, onions, and crushed shrimp crackers. The Spaghetti Vongole was flavorful with plenty of clams and small octopus. It was a bit salty with a strong garlic and chili flavor, which I enjoyed but some people might find it too salty. The iced coffee was refreshing and the caramel pudding dessert was delicious with a clear caramel flavor.

This is my first visit to this casual Italian izakaya. They serve three appetizers as a starter, so it seems more like a drinking spot. The portions for meals are quite large, which might be a bit heavy for some. The pate can is tasty and satisfying with a good amount. However, the Melba toast could be improved for better value. The pizza, while crispy, lacks a chewy texture. It would be better if the dough was more thoroughly fermented. The Margherita pizza has too much sauce, making it a bit overwhelming. I prefer a fresher tomato flavor. Overall, it's not bad, but could use some improvements.

In a place where eateries line the small streets of the Karatsu Kaido in Niecehama, an Italian restaurant opened on 10/15. I think it used to be a curry restaurant before. I made a reservation by phone 30 minutes before I knew they were open for lunch. It's about a 6-7 minute walk from Niecehama Station North Exit. If you're driving, there is a coin parking lot in front of the restaurant. Lunch starts at 11:00, but I forgot to ask about the end time. Sorry. When I entered, customers kept coming in, everyone seems to know this place well. The restaurant had 2 tables for 4 people and a counter with 4 seats. - Lunch menu: You can choose 2 items from the lower row for the set menu. Both of us ordered the set menu. - Spicy sauce: The spiciness is not strong, and it supposedly tastes better when added to the Amatriciana sauce. - My husband ordered the "Pork Shoulder Roast and Onsen Tamago Amatriciana (set for 980 yen including tax)". The set included "Soup" and "Baguette". The soup was apparently delicious. The pasta portion was normal. - I ordered the "Vongole Bianco Set (980 yen including tax)". The set included "Salad" and "Pineapple Juice". The salad looked delicious with prosciutto, egg salad, pickles, etc., and the Caesar dressing was tasty. The portion was generous. I like pineapple juice, so I was happy. The Vongole Bianco had plenty of clams. The anchovy flavor was hardly noticeable, but the gentle seasoning with the flavor of clams was to my liking. - My husband was debating between ordering "Pasta" or "Hashed Beef" when he placed his order. He decided to add more if the pasta portion seemed enough. He followed through, which was great. - Hashed Beef with Egg Rice (single item: 780 yen) had plenty of rice and was quite filling. When I took a bite, I found the saltiness to be strong, but my husband thought it was just right and delicious. He liked it more than the pasta. Lunch set is a great deal at 980 yen, and the "Salad" is recommended among the choices. Since it just opened, I look forward to what's to come. It's great to see more dining options in this area, like the Spanish restaurant that opened recently. We paid 2,740 yen including tax for two people.
