After having lunch, I went to this cafe. The interior, renovated from a traditional townhouse, is stylish! The peach parfait and drip coffee set for 1400 yen is a great deal! Both were delicious. They also have spicy curry, so I'll try their lunch menu next time.

Today's dessert was at a quaint cafe called "Saru to Mortare" in Kishiwada City, in the Yamanao Nakajimacho area. The cafe is housed in a traditional Japanese-style building with a unique and stylish exterior. Upon entering, customers must place their orders and pay at the counter in the back of the cafe. The interior features raised tatami seating areas, but since it was full, I sat on the veranda. I ordered the Peach Parfait for 1100 yen (tax included). The peaches were deliciously sweet, and the sherbet was refreshingly tasty. As I enjoyed my dessert, I discovered many other delicious treats that I couldn't identify by name. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

After lunch, we went for tea... There were about three parking spaces next to the shop. The old house has been renovated stylishly. When you enter the shop, you first order and then take off your shoes... It felt like going back home and we were able to relax and enjoy tea in a calm atmosphere.

I visited a stylish cafe for breakfast. The exterior and interior were both stylish, with playful details and a relaxing atmosphere. I couldn't decide what to order, but ended up choosing a croque monsieur and a cheese, honey, and walnut toast set. The croque monsieur was delicious with plenty of cheese. The cheese, honey, and walnut toast had a nice crunch from the walnuts and was very tasty. The salad that came with the set had a delicious dressing. I would love to visit again, maybe next time I'll try the spicy curry!

In January 2022, when I visited the Costco Izumi Warehouse, I took a little detour for lunch. I had been following this place on Instagram for a while, and the parfait looked so delicious that I couldn't resist. There was a parking space next to the restaurant, which was convenient. You order and pay first, then enter the room with your shoes off. The space was very stylish and chic (I didn't take photos as there were many customers). I ordered the spice curry, which was okay. There were also various toast options with different toppings. Since I still had room in my stomach, I also ordered the orange parfait. It was quite large and challenging to finish, but I managed to eat it all. The parfait was delicious. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal.

I never thought I could eat spicy curry in Kishiwada! The curry had a good amount of spice and was delicious. The restaurant is located quite far up in the Yamanote area of Kishiwada. The old-fashioned style of the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, making it a very relaxing place to enjoy a meal. It's not often you get to enjoy curry in such a setting.

This day, lunch was a failure, so I felt frustrated and decided to stop by a cool cafe with a funny name that I had bookmarked. I was so focused on taking photos of the exterior that my partner noticed the menu written on the wall and said, "They have a warabi mochi parfait!" Even though we only planned to get drinks, my partner seemed interested, so we went for it. We paid at the counter first and then entered the eat-in area. We took off our shoes and entered a relaxing space with a cozy atmosphere. We found a semi-private room in the back with tatami flooring, which was very soothing. The cafe's name, "Sarutomoretare," turned out to have a deep meaning related to circus performances and striving for the best performance. We relaxed in the room until our drinks arrived. The cappuccino was served in a large cup with a beautiful latte art design. The taste was much better than the soy latte I had in the morning. And then came the warabi mochi parfait, which was surprisingly delicious. Even though I usually don't eat warabi mochi, the texture and taste of this parfait were indescribably delicious. My partner and I both agreed that the kinako (soybean flour) used was of high quality. My partner, who claimed not to like warabi mochi much, also admitted that this parfait was really good. Overall, we enjoyed our experience at the cafe, and I am grateful to my partner for suggesting the parfait, which turned out to be a delightful surprise.

This is a cafe that renovated a 70-year-old traditional house, which also offers accommodation. The logo with a monkey riding a bicycle is cute, and the cafe supports cyclists. They provide free water refills and offer bicycle pump rentals. There are stands for road bikes and cross bikes in front of the shop. Inside, there is a spacious raised tatami area and one private room. The yellow cushions shaped like mountains were adorable. Families with children can relax in the tatami area. They have a selection of books and manga available. You can place your order at the counter, where they offer their own roasted coffee, seasonal parfaits, and toast as their main menu items. Takeout is also available. The muffins tend to sell out quickly, so they may not be available during snack time. I ordered a latte, iced coffee, and strawberry sorbet. They also included some rusk with the drinks. I chose a hot latte to see the beautiful latte art, which had a mild taste with a strong milk flavor. On the other hand, the iced coffee had a stronger bitterness and was more intense, which I preferred. The strawberry sorbet was very smooth and delicious. My daughter quickly claimed it as her own, so I had a hard time getting a taste, but it had chunks of strawberries in it. I'm also interested in trying their signature toast, but I heard they have a sister restaurant called "Mitsubu ni Tane," which focuses on creative dishes with vegetables, so I would like to visit there as well.

"Saru to Mortare | Osaka, Kishiwada: It's the season for my favorite Hokkaikan peach parfait. Every year, summer doesn't start until I have this. Hokkaikan Peach Parfait Drink Set (1400 yen). The store was full, so I got it for takeout. It uses a whole juicy and sweet peach. Inside, there's peach sherbet, rusk, jelly, panna cotta, and on top, a florentine. I shared it, but I wanted to eat a whole one by myself. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal! Restaurant: @saltomortale.coffee. Access: Car required as there is no station nearby. You can relax at the old folk house cafe. We had lunch at the affiliated Sanryu ni Tane before walking there. They also had a warabi mochi parfait at Sanryu ni Tane, but since we had already eaten it, we just had a cafe latte. They gave us complimentary rusk.

I visited the cafe after seeing a famous sweets reporter's Instagram post about their peach parfait. The parking lot has space for 3 cars next to the shop and 2 cars a short distance away. After ordering inside and paying, you move to the cafe area outside. I ordered the peach parfait made with locally grown peaches. The peaches were surprisingly not too sweet, but still had a strong peach flavor and were delicious. The parfait included warabi mochi, peach sherbet, a little chocolate cake, whipped cream, and possibly yogurt at the bottom. For the price of ¥950, it was quite affordable compared to a peach parfait I had tried in Wakayama for over ¥2000. It was delicious. Thank you, Gochi-sama.
