I visited "toffee" in Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture while strolling around Dazaifu. They have various food items like soft serve ice cream, strawberry milk, and waffles. I ordered the Amaou strawberry soft serve ice cream, while my companion ordered chocolate and vanilla soft serve. The soft serve ice cream was a bit different, with a firm and creamy texture similar to ice cream. It was delicious. They offer a wide variety of soft serve flavors, so it's a great place to enjoy different tastes. Next time, I would like to try their cream soda. Thank you for the meal!

I was looking forward to food tasting at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, but ended up only eating this lol. The variety of flavors is amazing, so it's hard to choose. The appearance is also stylish. Ume Soft Serve is famous here, so I tried it. It has crunchy bits of plum inside, which adds a fun texture! I should have tried more food while walking around. Thank you for the meal! 🌟 [Suitable for "Solo dining, with friends, on a date, with family, or with kids"]

On the third day of my Fukuoka and Saga trip, I visited Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. After finishing sightseeing, I felt like having some ice cream on my way back to the station because it was extremely hot. There were various flavors like plum, but I could only see refreshing soda flavor. It had a clear blue color and contained ramune, a flavor I have liked since I was a child. It was nothing special, but in today's scorching heat, the ice cream tasted delicious above all.

Near Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, there is a soft serve ice cream shop. I was drawn to the colorful display of soft serve ice cream and unique flavors like "rose". However, when I saw them making it, I realized it was a common type often seen at tourist spots. The taste, or rather the scent, was artificial and a bit disappointing. It turned out to be something you can get anywhere. But the presentation was cute, so maybe it's good for the shop in terms of aesthetics or for Instagram-worthy photos.

【Place】3-4 minutes walk from Dazaifu Station【Date and Time】After 16:00 on weekdays【Reservation】Not required【Payment method】Cash【Ordered items】- Strawberry Milk ¥700- Fresh Strawberry Parfait ¥950【Comment】During my Fukuoka trip, I visited for sightseeing and food after about 2 years, focusing on Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. I was interested in this shop after seeing it on Instagram. The exterior of the shop was cute, and I was surprised by the wide variety of ice cream flavors available! (laughs) There were about 5-7 groups lined up during the day, but I went before leaving so I was able to order right away.【Food Impressions】[Strawberry Milk] There were lots of strawberry chunks in it, and it was sweeter and richer in taste than I expected. It had a classic strawberry milk taste and was delicious.[Fresh Strawberry Parfait] It had plenty of sweet strawberries in an easy-to-eat size, and it paired well with the rich ice cream. It was a bit pricey but delicious. I will definitely buy it again when I visit Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. Thank you for the meal~(*^▽^*)

Dazaifu. Sugawara Michizane-sama, I finally made it. The plum and beef, as well as the plum soft serve ice cream, were delicious with a crispy texture. Thank you for the meal.

I also tried the Ume-gaeshi mochi and soft serve ice cream. They were both delicious. However, it was a bit chilly so it would be better to visit when it's warmer. There was a long line during the day, but it was empty in the evening, probably because of the cold. I thought they were offering original soft serve ice cream, but it turned out to be Sudjata's soft serve. It was a bit disappointing, but since I like Sudjata's soft serve, I'm okay with it. It's located on the approach to the shrine, so you can enjoy various things while you're there. ^_^

During my trip to Kyushu, I decided to visit Dazaifu. When it comes to Dazaifu, you think of Umegae mochi... However, I can't eat red bean paste, so I looked for something else delicious and came across this shop. The storefront introduces many flavors of soft serve ice cream, but of course, it has to be plum! It's Dazaifu, after all! So, I decided on the plum soft serve ice cream. When I placed my order, the staff took out a cup-shaped soft serve ice cream base from the freezer and set it in the machine. It's like those machines you see at theme parks. I see, that's why you can enjoy so many flavors. The finished soft serve ice cream is a very cute pink color. I took a bite right away. The sweet and sourness that spreads on my tongue is more like the taste of plum-flavored sweets than actual plums. It's a cute flavor, if I may say so. Although it looks like soft serve ice cream, in terms of texture and melt-in-your-mouth feel, it's more like ice cream in the shape of soft serve. I hardly feel the milk fat content, but on that hot and sunny day, it was refreshing and just right. I recommend it when visiting Dazaifu! Thank you for the meal.

The approach and arched bridge at Tenmangu Shrine had a nice atmosphere, but there were too many people to take photos. There was a unique Starbucks nearby. Before going to the Kyushu National Museum, I enjoyed looking at silly souvenirs, which is also part of the fun of traveling. I also found a soft serve ice cream shop with 25 flavors, which was a take-out only store. One of the flavors was Fukuoka's specialty, plum, and it had crunchy bits of plum inside, which was delicious.

Since last night, we've been having a spring storm with scattered showers. After visiting a shrine, I stopped by an ice cream shop along the approach. They offer 25 different flavors of ice cream and there is always a line, with a souvenir shop attached. The most popular flavor is the Dazaifu Tenmangu specialty "plum", which has crispy plum in it, but since I'm not a fan of plum, I chose the seasonal limited edition cherry blossom (with salted leaves) for 320 yen (tax included). The pale pink color is cute and the taste is a nice balance of sweet and salty, with the salted leaves adding a nice accent. The cone is just normal, but surprisingly the aftertaste is refreshing, allowing me to fully enjoy spring. Thank you for the meal!

After indulging in plenty of Umegae mochi in Dazaifu, I came across a soft serve ice cream shop for a palate cleanser. The charming sign and the various flavors of soft serve on display immediately caught my eye. There were so many different flavors to choose from, making it a tough decision. I initially thought about getting the plum flavor, but I ended up choosing the strawberry condensed milk soft serve. It looked too delicious to resist. The perfect balance of sweetness with a hint of strawberry's tartness made it a delightful treat. It helped refresh my palate after the sweetness of the red bean paste.

I hurried to the Kyushu National Museum to see the special exhibition of the National Palace Museum in Taipei, featuring the famous "meat-shaped stone" before it ends on October 20th. After waiting in line for about 40 minutes, I finally laid eyes on the "meat-shaped stone," which was smaller than I had imagined but had a wonderful resemblance to real braised pork, stimulating my appetite (lol). On my way back from the museum, I visited Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine for a prayer, and then headed to the approach. I had researched on Tabelog beforehand and decided to try the highly-rated "Sugi Bee Gardens Dazaifu Store" for their honey soft serve ice cream. However, the store was not attracting any customers despite the bustling surroundings. Feeling hesitant, I noticed a soft serve ice cream shop in a corner of a nearby Western goods and sundries store. They offered a variety of flavors, with the most popular being the "plum soft serve." I decided to try the "plum soft serve" to stay true to the Dazaifu theme. The taste was reminiscent of the rich and sweet-sour flavor of plum chewing gum from the past, with crunchy bits of plum inside the soft serve. Even though the price had increased from 250 yen to 320 yen since the last review, the "plum soft serve" was still satisfying. As I enjoyed my ice cream on the side of the street, the front of the shop suddenly became lively. A group of about 10 young women, possibly high school or college students, were excitedly looking at the menu of 25 soft serve flavors and discussing their choices. It was a joy to see people of all ages and genders being drawn to this new Dazaifu specialty dessert. Itadakimasu!

After finishing sightseeing in Dazaifu, on the way back to the station, I stopped by a place that caught my eye on the way there - zakka&cafe Fu. Despite the crowd of high school girls at the storefront, I managed to place my order. Among the various options of soft serve ice cream, I chose the plum soft serve for 250 yen. It was filled all the way to the bottom and felt heavy. When I took a bite, it was sour but delicious. It reminded me of the plum candy, small plum-chan. Yes, it was like turning small plum-chan into a high-quality soft serve. Overall, it was definitely worth trying - sour, cold, and delicious soft serve ice cream.

This is a cafe located in a cute miscellaneous goods store on the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. The cafe blends in seamlessly with the store, creating a very calming atmosphere. I didn't use the cafe this time, but instead tried the soft serve ice cream they sell at the storefront. I was impressed by the variety of flavors (around 25 types)! They had unique flavors like wasabi, yamato-miso, and rose. I wanted to try the most popular "plum" flavor, but ended up choosing the seasonal "cherry blossom" flavor. I was surprised when I took a bite - it tasted like sakura mochi! It was a flavor I had never experienced before, but I think it might become addictive.

Fukuoka 1 night 2 days trip Part 3: After eating Umeboshi Mochi at Kasanoie, we decided to have soft serve ice cream. While you can have soft serve ice cream anywhere, we had a strong craving for it that day. There were so many flavors to choose from, it took us a bit of time to decide. We ended up choosing the "Berry Mix" which was a mix of strawberry and blueberry soft serve with chunks of strawberry in it. The soft serve was firm and didn't melt easily. It felt like a good deal because of the mix of flavors. Even though it was winter, we finished the soft serve in no time. Eating while walking around is always fun!
