Sweets buffet price adjustment - yay for price drop~♪ I went for my last meal before the previous price hike, but somehow the prices were lowered instead of raised?! And they were even lower than before, at 1,980 yen (tax included). They had a cake collaboration with Kiri, which was a limited-time offer. Since I had no plans, I decided to go last minute. There were a total of 32 cakes available for the buffet, which seemed a bit less. The website mentioned two Kiri collaboration cakes, but on that day, there was only one. First, I tried the domestic apple pie and the Amaou strawberry Mont Blanc. I secretly like the Fujiya apple pie because it doesn't have unnecessary cream, and the apple compote and raisins with a hint of cinnamon were delicious. The Amaou strawberry Mont Blanc was small but had plenty of cream and a strawberry sauce inside, with a slightly sweet and slightly sour taste. For the second round, I had a Ruby Cacao Cream cake and a Double Mont Blanc. The Ruby chocolate was a new experience for me, but it didn't stand out as particularly delicious or bad. The Double Mont Blanc was small with less cream than usual, and the chestnut paste and candied chestnuts on top added a nice texture, but it was still quite sweet. In the third round, I tried the baked cheesecake using Kiri cream cheese and the Amaou strawberry milk crepe. The cheesecake was rich but not too sweet, with a light cheese flavor. I prefer the Premium Rich Baked Cheesecake with a salty taste over this one. The Amaou strawberry milk crepe was too sweet for my liking. For the fourth round, I had the strawberry mille-feuille, Hokkaido mascarpone authentic tiramisu, and colorful fruit milky soft serve parfait, which were all quite sweet. I managed to finish with the yogurt's acidity in the parfait balancing out the sweetness. Overall, with the price adjustment and the ability to use Rakuten points, it was a good deal, and I can easily visit again at this price. Thank you for the meal.
