A sushi restaurant located at a corner of a intersection along Meiji Street, closer to Fujisaki from Muro Station. It seems to be a popular long-established place in the local area, with a stylish Japanese interior. The solid and warm counter and the friendly service make it a welcoming place. After having some hormone dishes for a casual drink, I came across a sushi restaurant on the other side of the street that I remembered from a review by Myレビ. The place looked a bit fancy, but I remember it being more of my style, more like a casual dining spot. There were menu samples displayed outside, giving a friendly impression. I decided to check it out and was greeted warmly by the staff who showed me to the counter. The thick wooden counter, over 15cm thick, was quite appealing. The head chef, dressed in a traditional chef's outfit, seemed quiet at first glance but was actually quite friendly, which put me at ease. I initially planned to just have a few pieces of sushi, but I ended up ordering some sake. I chose the Saga's Manrei cold sake. The staff poured me the first cup. It had a mild aroma, a clean and gentle taste, with a subtle acidity spreading gently from the back of the mouth to the throat. Feeling intrigued by the atmosphere, I decided to have some sashimi. The sea bream with a hint of kelp at the center was delicious, and the thinly sliced horse mackerel had a satisfying texture. The squid sashimi was served with sea urchin and salmon roe, a delightful dish that paired well with the sake. I then got carried away and ordered an assorted sushi plate. The start was the squid, beautifully sliced, with a slightly cool touch to the fish, allowing the sweetness of the rice to shine through. The rice was perfectly cooked, with a nice airy texture and a good balance of flavors. The thickness of the fish matched well with the presence of the rice, creating a harmonious sushi experience. As I continued to enjoy the drinks and sushi, I ended up indulging quite a bit, resulting in a bill of almost 8,000 yen. If I hadn't gotten carried away, I think I could have kept it under 5,000 yen... but oh well, the cozy atmosphere and good food made it worth it. The next day, I quietly nibbled on bread at home.
