For about a year now, I have been watching YouTube videos more than TV shows. I watch various videos, but my favorite is "Hige-chan", who often showcases his big eating style, especially with noodles. When Hige-chan visits ramen shops like Yamagoya or Rario, he often makes his own rice bowl using a small portion of rice, which he calls "Original Rice". So, from now on, I will also refer to it as such.
One Saturday, after a bit of heavy drinking the night before, I decided to go to Hyakuban, which had just opened. It was 11:15 am, and I was the only customer, so I got the best seat at the counter. Since it was Saturday, there was no lunch set, so I ordered a spicy miso ramen (light oil) and a small portion of rice. The ramen had the perfect level of spiciness that lifted my spirits a bit. The noodles were cooked just right, slightly firm, which was great.
For the Original Rice, I had it with chashu, green onions, bean sprouts, and bamboo shoots, topped with a bit of soup. Eating this rice with the soup was quite delicious. Hige-chan usually spreads grated garlic and chili paste on the rice before adding the toppings, but I skipped the garlic as it can be overpowering. However, there might be a better way to do it. After getting energized by the spicy ramen, I worked on a holiday afternoon.
