☆彡I received information from my sake friends that this place has a good selection of sake, so I decided to check it out. It was my first time visiting this store, and as I walked in, I noticed a treasure trove of sake lined up in the refrigerated showcase. There were yellow price tags on each sake bottle, indicating that they were available for ordering. From new releases to rare sake varieties, the showcase was filled with a variety of options, making it exciting to choose which one to try first.
The first sake that caught my eye was Senkin Yukidaruma, a newly released brand. I immediately ordered it along with a variety of snacks that would pair well with sake:
- Maguro Sake Tofu and Cream Cheese (550 yen)
- Red Wiener Stir-fry (350 yen)
- Firefly Squid Dried in Fish Sauce (450 yen)
- Chicken Meatball Ginger Stew (400 yen)
- Asari Clams Steamed in Sake (680 yen)
- Yakisoba with Dragon Egg (400 yen)
Sake (all in half cups):
- Senkin Yukidaruma (850 yen)
- Kido Junmai Daiginjo Yamadanishiki, 40% polishing rate (1,100 yen)
- Juku Marvelous (950 yen)
- Kame Junmai Ginjo Genshu, 50% polishing rate (850 yen)
- Junmai "Kinoda-shu" Yamadanishiki, 100% polished from Wakayama Prefecture (850 yen)
- Haneya Kyokai Kobo 17 (850 yen)
- Suigyoku Junmai Ginjo, 100% Akita-grown rice (850 yen)
The menu displayed on the walls offered a wide variety of dishes, from simple and affordable izakaya-style dishes to those specifically designed to pair with sake. The prices were reasonable compared to other standing bars in the Namba area, making it easy to enjoy a casual meal with sake. I started with a slightly sweet aromatic sake and moved on to lighter, refreshing sakes, savoring the differences in flavors with each half cup.
The turnover of stock seemed to be fast, with many new sake brands from November production date available. The fragrances were fresh, and the selection was limited to ensure quality. Popular brands tended to sell out quickly, creating a sense of camaraderie among customers enjoying sake together. Although I intended to limit myself to just seven half cups, I ended up spending over 10,000 yen due to the high unit prices of sake. The sake here is delicious, so sake enthusiasts will definitely enjoy it, but it's important to exercise self-control due to the higher prices.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I realized that sake standing bars offer a unique and enjoyable way to appreciate Japanese sake. If you love sake, this place is a must-visit! ( ´゚д゚`)アチャー I am also on Instagram @ginjirou.star
