It has been quite a while since I last parked my motorcycle in this difficult area, but today I finally made my long-awaited first visit to "Tanaka's Chuka Soba" shop. It is located between the first and second meeting spots of the day, and I had some time to spare, so I had to go (laughs). The exterior of the ramen shop doesn't look like a typical ramen shop, but with the unique and quirky appearance that I had heard about, I couldn't miss it! - Arrival time: 12:45 PM - Crowdedness: 4 people waiting outside - Waiting time: 15 minutes Considering the next meeting, I was prepared to give up if there was a long line, but surprisingly, we were able to get in quite quickly. The interior of the shop is also stylish! I ordered the special Chuka Soba. The Chuka Soba that came out was also beautiful and stylish. It's a very simple presentation, focusing on the taste. Now, let's try the soup. Slurp... Wow!!! The simple chicken and seafood Chuka Soba soup has a harmonious blend of sweetness and a unity of multiple ingredients. It's really delicious! The noodles are glossy and smooth, perfectly complementing the straightforward Chuka Soba. The toppings like cha-shu and seasoned egg may seem ordinary at first, but as you eat, they become incredibly tasty! I had raised my expectations quite high, but this Chuka Soba exceeded them by far, leaving no room for criticism. It's a top-notch Chuka Soba, surpassing all the common ones. It has definitely made it into my top 10 list of Chuka Sobas. I had a great meal. Thank you!

Located in a residential area south of Senri Park, Ramen Motohyakumei is a stylish ramen shop with a concrete exterior that may not look like a typical ramen shop at first glance. Look for the red lights and pink neon sign as a marker. Inside, there are only 7 counter seats with chic decor and comfortable chairs. I revisited around 8:30 p.m. on a weekday. There were 2 customers already seated and 2 more came in after me. I ordered the special clam ramen for 1300 yen and the rare chashu rice bowl for 550 yen at the ticket machine. The soup was rich with the umami of seafood and the depth of clam broth, making me want to drink it all up. The noodles were special medium-thick straight noodles from a renowned noodle maker in Kyoto, with a firm texture and great chewiness. The pork rare chashu came in 5 slices and paired perfectly with the noodles. The rare chashu rice bowl had plenty of tender chopped chashu, and when mixed with the egg yolk and rice, it was a delicious combination. The sauce was surprisingly light, making me wish they offered a larger size because I wanted more. I had tried their special soy sauce ramen before and it was one of the best I've had, so I had high expectations this time as well, and I was not disappointed.

Characteristics Chuka Soba 1300 yen Rare Chashu TKG 550 yen The soup was really delicious! A light soy sauce-based soup with a combination of seafood flavors that was amazing! The seafood soup had no bitterness in the dashi, and the extraction of flavors was outstanding. It was on the salty side, but it didn't feel overly salty. The medium-thick noodles had a smooth texture and were incredibly delicious. The chashu was tender with a hint of sweetness, simply the best! The chashu bowl was also seriously delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and it will likely become even more popular in the future. The only disappointing point was that there was oil floating in the water when it was poured into the glass. With COVID around, it's important to have clean glasses.

The Chuka soba made me think about what it really is! On my second visit, I ordered the special clam soba. In conclusion, personally, I prefer this one. The soup really brings out the pure goodness of the clams, with a rich flavor that is just amazing. The soup and noodles also go perfectly together! The noodles here are best paired with the clam broth, and the chashu and boiled egg are also a perfect match! I found a great ramen here!

Arrived at 11:45 a.m. and there were 10 people waiting. Waited for about 30 minutes. Ordered the special clam soba for 1300 yen and the rare chashu don for 450 yen. It was delicious as expected. I have tried many famous ramen shops in Osaka, but the ramen and donburi at this place are outstanding. Note that they may have temporary closures, so I recommend checking their Twitter around 11:05 a.m. before going for lunch.

【Visit Date】 9/5/2023 Dinner【Order】 Flavored egg and clam soba Since there was time before the Netherlands match, I went for training after work yesterday. I gave up on conquering the remaining one of the top 100 ramen shops because it hasn't reopened yet. I decided to visit high-rated shops for next year. I was second in line 10 minutes before opening. There were 4 people at opening. It was full right after opening. The interior of the shop was clean. They have a system where you order food tickets as soon as you enter. Based on reviews, I chose the clam soba. The noodles have a distinctive aroma. The flavored egg was so-so. I didn't need it. I quickly finished my meal as usual and left. Thanks for the meal.

This is a ramen shop called "Order Chukasoba Honmachi Station." There are no prominent signs, so it's easy to walk past it. Be careful when visiting. Just nearby, there is Fukuryu Ramen Wadachi. I arrived at 11:38 am, and there was a sign in front saying "Opening at 12 pm." So I waited in front of the shop. Soon, more people arrived, and there was quite a line. I managed to be the first in line and entered the shop. The interior was dimly lit, with comfortable chairs spaced out nicely. I bought a ticket from the vending machine for "Chukasoba" this time. I filled up water at the water server next to it and handed the ticket to the waitress. After about 5 minutes, my bowl arrived! The clear black soup looked beautiful. The pepper sprinkled on top of the ingredients shone brightly. I took a sip of the soup first. The umami of the broth, possibly from bonito flakes, was prominent, with a hint of sweetness followed by a sour taste. The soy sauce flavor was subtle, making it very easy to eat! Delicious! The noodles were made with whole wheat, giving them a transparent, rounded, and chewy texture with a satisfying crunch. The sweetness of the wheat also came through, making the noodles very tasty. However, I felt that the noodles didn't quite match the soup perfectly. But the noodles themselves were very enjoyable. Next, I tried a piece of pork shoulder, likely cooked at a low temperature, which was very juicy, enhancing the richness of the meat's fat in combination with the soup. The seasoned bamboo shoots were also subtly flavored, complementing the soup well. Overall, it was a ramen where the soup was the star, and everything was very well-balanced. The harmony between the noodles and the soup may have been a bit off, though.

There was no line and I almost passed by. I had the clam soba and the chuka soba. The rare chashu was tender and delicious. The clam broth was rich, but towards the end it became a bit too salty for me to finish. The black pepper added a nice touch. The soy sauce was surprising in color. There was a strong seafood flavor. As I ate, it started to taste a bit sour. Overall, it was a bold and salty taste. The scent of the mitsuba was nice.

Creative and flavorful Chinese noodles. I finally tried the highly recommended restaurant that always has a line. I ordered the Special Chinese Noodles, which I thought would be a classic dish, but the soup was delicate and the noodles were thick, a little different from what I expected. However, the taste was excellent just as everyone said. Personally, I found it best to eat the noodles with the egg and chashu. I also thought the clam noodles on the menu would be good, so I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I went back to this restaurant because I had such a delicious meal the first time! The clear seafood broth with chewy round noodles is amazing! The chashu has a roast beef-like sharp flavor that you can eat as many pieces as you want. The menma may be overlooked, but it is crunchy and incredibly tasty!

I visited this restaurant for the first time in a while for lunch. It opened at 11:45 am and I arrived at 11:25 am, luckily I was able to get in on the first round. However, there was a long line right after. I ordered the ramen with flavored egg and rare char siu rice bowl. Even after a year, the ramen here was still delicious. Eating the char siu rice bowl made me full, but thinking about the long line, I end up ordering it every time to avoid waiting too long until my next visit.

I arrived just before the opening time on a regular night. There were already three groups waiting. The restaurant opened and only two groups were seated first, so I waited outside for a while. After a short wait, I was seated and purchased the clam soba for 950 yen from the ticket machine. Water is self-service. The small restaurant only has 7 counter seats. After about 10 minutes, the dish arrived. The soup looked slightly oily but clear. When I tried the soup, the clam broth was delicious! It was tasty from the first sip, with a good balance of saltiness. It had a deep flavor and was of high quality. The noodles were medium-thick straight noodles with whole wheat flour. The toppings included Mitsuba (Japanese wild parsley), bamboo shoots, and chashu (sliced pork). This popular restaurant can have a line, so be prepared for a wait when visiting.

I was looking for a delicious soy sauce ramen or clam broth ramen and I came across this restaurant. The menu only offers either soy sauce or clam broth ramen, which was exactly what I was looking for. My friend and I waited about 20 minutes during lunchtime before entering. We both ordered one of each, soy sauce and clam broth ramen. The soft-boiled egg is optional, but the soup for both ramen was delicious! The soy sauce ramen had a sweet soy sauce soup with a prominent fish flavor, and a refreshing aftertaste. The clam broth ramen had a very strong clam flavor, almost too much, and was a bit lighter than the soy sauce ramen. It was perfect for a hangover. The chashu, noodles, and menma were all delicious, so there were no real downsides. If I had to point out something, it would be the families with children who do not order ramen for everyone. It's a bit rude to take up seats and let the kids run around, so maybe they should be denied entry. When we left, there were still people waiting in line, so it made me think even more about it. Well, it's not really the restaurant's fault though (laughs).

The owner of this place trained at "Shiomarshall" and "Jinrui Minamenrui." The interior of the restaurant has a stylish atmosphere with a concrete wall and dim lighting. There are 7 seats at the counter with a decent amount of space between them, making it a comfortable place for couples as well. I ordered the "Special Chinese Soba for 1300 yen" and the "Rare Chashu Don for 450 yen." It took about 16 minutes for the dishes to be served. The soy sauce-based soup had a hint of sweetness and a strong chicken broth flavor, which I preferred over the previous training places. The medium-thick noodles had a nice firmness and a unique texture. The toppings included rare pork shoulder chashu, seasoned egg, bamboo shoots, green onions, and cilantro, all of high quality. The pork chashu was tender with a rich flavor, and the seasoned egg was perfectly cooked. The Rare Chashu Don had a good amount of rice and chashu, and the quality was impressive. Overall, it was a well-rounded bowl of noodles, showcasing the attention to detail put into each component. It would be a satisfying lunch option for office workers. Thank you for the meal!

Arrived around 11:25 on a regular day, second in line. It seemed like they were able to serve everyone by around 11:35 on the first round. The clam soba uses clam broth, and you can taste the richness of the clams without any fishy smell. The saltiness is just right, enhancing the clam flavor without overpowering it, leaving you satisfied. The chashu pork may lack a bit of presence compared to the flavorful broth. I waited in line for about 15-20 minutes around 12:30 on Saturday! They have self-service water (all-you-can-drink) which is great on hot days! There are only 7 seats, but the interior is spacious! It's okay to have a lot of baggage! The taste was beyond my expectations, and the noodles were firm, so it was very satisfying! I want to go again.

Order: Ramen with seasoned egg (extra noodles). Visited the restaurant around 2pm on a weekday, avoiding the lunch rush. There was no wait, and only about 3 people inside. The service was polite and welcoming. The taste of the ramen is similar to the original concept of "Jinrui Minamenrui," where the chef trained, but personally I prefer the slightly sweeter taste here. The noodles are almost the same medium thickness as the original. The large bamboo shoots are also the same. The chashu is not bad, but it doesn't quite compare to the thick slices at "Jinrui Minamenrui." Taking into account the crowd and overall experience, I would recommend this restaurant over the other.

During my business trip to Osaka, I walked around the Honmachi area and found a restaurant. In conclusion, the food was delicious but the cost performance may not be the best. However, the taste itself was perfect with a refined dashi broth made from kombu, the sweetness of the noodles, the savory and tender char siu, and the perfectly marinated ajitama (flavored egg).
