[December 2, 2017] Second visit. I was able to make a reservation on the day of the visit by phone on Saturday. This time, I ordered the "10 varieties of small dishes" again. It goes perfectly with sake. Although it was not on the menu, I asked for "5 pieces of salmon nigiri" and they kindly accommodated my request.
[September 16, 2017] I visited on a Saturday with a same-day reservation. When I arrived at the restaurant just before 8:00 PM, about half of the seats were taken, but it quickly filled up and became full. It seems better to make a reservation on weekends. They have a wide variety of sake brands. On that day, they had 18 brands from all over Japan available. The price range is mostly between 650 yen and 850 yen for a 180ml serving. I ordered "Hatsukame" from Shizuoka. A recommended dish is the "10 varieties of small dishes for adults and children" for 1,290 yen. It includes a large plate of 10 different side dishes, a few pieces of sashimi (3 varieties, 2 pieces each), vinegared rice, and seaweed. It can be a good sake accompaniment, and children who don't drink alcohol can enjoy hand-rolled sushi. The sashimi was fresh. I also added vinegared rice and seaweed. The simmered anago was soft and tender, and the sesame kanpachi was a perfect match for sake. The "Omakase nigiri" is priced at 580 yen for 3 pieces, 880 yen for 5 pieces, and 1,580 yen for 8 pieces. I ordered 5 pieces. The 5 pieces included sea urchin, ikura gunkan, horse mackerel, tuna, and sea bream (probably).
I also ordered "Tai Kabuto Shioyaki" for 590 yen, "Eggplant and thick-fried tofu simmered in country style" for 500 yen, and "Jako tempura" for 390 yen. Everything was delicious, and there were no disappointing dishes. The restaurant allows smoking throughout the premises. Since there were no smokers around us, there was no inconvenience. Smoking can be really annoying. My wife, eldest daughter, and I, who did not drink alcohol, spent a total of 6,480 yen. The appetizer was 300 yen. It's delicious, has a good cost-performance ratio, and is within walking distance from home. I think I will continue to visit in the future.
