I want to find a delicious restaurant near my home, so I was walking around Onojo and Kasuga when I discovered this place! It's located within a 5-minute walk from Onojo Station, making it a great location where you can easily catch a train or taxi even if you get drunk (lol). I usually eat a lot of meat, so I wanted to eat fish this time and brought my wife to this restaurant. Even on weekdays, it was quite busy, so making a reservation is a must on weekends. The staff were energetic and made a good first impression. They were attentive but not overly so. The food was just delicious, especially the fish! It's great to have a restaurant like this in a crowded area. I'll definitely be coming back, so I ended up buying a bottle of shochu (lol). The dishes were enjoyable both visually and in taste, exceeding my expectations. I'll have to go a few more times to see if the menu is updated regularly and if the quality remains consistent. The dish includes ikura, kanpyo, imitation crab, cucumber, cheese, squid salted guts, conger eel, changja (a type of Korean dish), dried young sardines, tuna corn, and sashimi. It's quite filling and costs 1290 yen. They also offer a plate of five pieces of nigiri sushi. The restaurant shows creativity in their dishes. It was a satisfying meal.

They have a wide variety of sake brands. On that day, they had 18 brands from all over Japan available. The price range is mostly between 650 yen and 850 yen for a 180ml serving. I ordered "Hatsukame" from Shizuoka. A recommended dish is the "10 varieties of small dishes for adults and children" for 1,290 yen. It includes a large plate of 10 different side dishes, a few pieces of sashimi (3 varieties, 2 pieces each), vinegared rice, and seaweed. It can be a good sake accompaniment, and children who don't drink alcohol can enjoy hand-rolled sushi. The sashimi was fresh. I also added vinegared rice and seaweed. The simmered anago was soft and tender, and the sesame kanpachi was a perfect match for sake. The "Omakase nigiri" is priced at 580 yen for 3 pieces, 880 yen for 5 pieces, and 1,580 yen for 8 pieces. I ordered 5 pieces. The 5 pieces included sea urchin, ikura gunkan, horse mackerel, tuna, and sea bream (probably). The sushi was delicious, with perfectly balanced shari. I prefer smaller, looser sushi, and they did not disappoint. The isaki was lightly boiled, the squid was marinated, and the tuna was thick-cut, all of them hitting the spot. On my way out, the manager asked if I was from Okinawa, which was quite funny. No, I am not! (laughs)
