Today, I went to "Kaisen Izakaya Hakata Tok-Toku Hakata Station" for the first time in a while! I ordered various dishes such as sashimi and grilled items, and today I ordered grilled nodoguro with salt. It was explained that it costs about 7000 yen per piece, which felt a bit expensive. The sashimi had a consistent taste and I left feeling full.

"Hakata Tok Tok" is a seafood izakaya, so I tried their unique karaage for the first time. It was delicious, with a texture similar to shako. The sashimi was also fresh and paired well with beer. The recommended ebi fry was larger than I expected and very satisfying to eat. Of course, it was also very delicious. Thank you for the meal today.

I had lunch at JR Hakata Station and stopped by on the 10th floor of the station building. I ordered the sesame mackerel set meal for 1,200 yen. It was just past 1:30 pm on a weekday, so the atmosphere in the restaurant was calm after the lunch rush. The restaurant area on the 10th floor consists of mostly tourist-priced shops, so it gives off a slightly expensive impression for regular lunch use. The food arrived in about 3 minutes after ordering. The taste of the sesame mackerel was consistently good. They offer free rice refills, so I had another helping and enjoyed it.

Today is my day off, and I went out for day drinking with my friend. We visited one place and had salted blowfish, rolled omelette, grilled silver cod marinated in sweet miso, and bonito sashimi. The food was delicious and went really well with the drinks. The grilled silver cod was especially good with its firm and juicy texture. I still want to try more dishes, so I will definitely go back again!

Started day drinking with an old friend who always knows the best places for delicious and reliable fish. The sashimi was fresh and carefully prepared, and the shrimp fry was satisfying from head to tail in both size and flavor. It's just as good as it used to be. While others around us were enjoying lunch sets, we may have had a bit too much to drink.

Today, I wanted to eat delicious fish set meal in Hakata so I lined up with Toc Toc around 10:40 and entered at 11:00. The next door Ippudo had a long line. The Toc Toc set meal for 1320 yen includes grilled miso silver cod, sardine hamburger, and tuna nanban. Rice and miso soup are refillable. This set meal is amazing, every dish is delicious. Especially the tuna nanban was really good. The sesame mackerel set meal for 1100 yen is also amazing. When it comes to Hakata, it has to be sesame mackerel on rice. It's the best. Hakata ramen is good too, but the fish set meal is top-notch. There were hardly any tourists, mostly local young people. It's a recommended restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

I often visit Kuuten. If you're not sure where to go, just go to Kuuten! Hmm, it seems like there are a lot of customers drinking from noon. Alright, I'll sit here (laughs). I ordered a small tuna bowl, some snacks, had lunch, drank beer, and focused on enjoying my time here. It was a satisfying lunch. Thank you, "tsutsu" indeed.

While walking around the shopping district, my sense of money seemed to go out the window! In the midst of this, I stumbled upon a great deal at a set meal restaurant (this is important!). There was no line, so I decided to go in and choose three side dishes. The hamburger was really delicious!! I also enjoyed the squid kimchi, rice, and miso soup, which were all refillable. The flavors of the side dishes were strong, so I ended up getting another bowl of rice. It was a satisfying lunch that filled me up!

I was delighted to find sesame mackerel included in the sashimi assortment. There were also various types like grunt and amberjack, making it enjoyable. The miso-grilled silver cod had a delicious crispy skin. I couldn't resist the urge to eat lots of the crispy skin. The flesh was juicy and delicious as well.

My regular hairdresser loves fish! Their recommendations are usually spot on, so I decided to try Tokutoku. I made a reservation and was seated right away. Everything was delicious! I will definitely be coming back! ❤️

Lunch Passport #Toc-Toc Hakata Station Store {Hakata Station, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City} I went to Toc-Toc Hakata Station Store on May 4, 2022 (Wednesday). I went to Hakata Station with my lunch passport! There were many options, but I chose Toc-Toc on the 10th floor of Kuten. This store offers Maguro Marinated Tuna Bowl @880 yen for 500 yen. In the upscale Kuten, you can enjoy a one-coin lunch. Maguro Marinated Tuna Bowl @880 yen (tax included) for 500 yen (tax included). I asked for extra rice for free. There are other delicious menu items available as well. The Maguro Marinated Tuna Bowl arrived. It came with miso soup, kimchi, sesame sauce, and warm onsen tofu. There were 6 large slices of maguro sashimi, plenty of wasabi, and chopped seaweed. The maguro sashimi is already delicious with pre-seasoning, but it becomes even more delicious with sesame sauce. A delicious lunch for one coin. I might come back two more times. Hakata-ku, Hakata Station Chuo-gai 1-1, Kuten 10th floor store. Closed on holidays following JR Hakata City.

I had the sesame mackerel set meal. The fish was firm and had no fishy smell at all, it was really delicious. It's amazing that you can get this for 1100 yen. I trust the freshness and taste of this restaurant, so I want to try various menu items, but I can't resist the classics. I always struggle with what to choose.

Last time I had a tuna bowl for 980 yen, and this time I tried the rare tuna fry Nanban for 1,100 yen! It seems like things are getting busier as the situation with COVID-19 calms down, but Kuuten was packed as usual. Since I was dining alone, I sat at the counter. I was torn between getting a bowl or sashimi, but I ended up choosing the tuna fry with tartar sauce since it was a new menu item. The crispy tuna was surprisingly delicious and went well with the tartar sauce! Despite the price, I left feeling satisfied and full (*^^*) This restaurant at Kuuten offers tasty seafood at a reasonable price, so I recommend it to seafood lovers!

This time, I went to Hakata Tok Tok Hakata Station store located at JR Hakata City 10F, 1-1 Hakata Ekimae Chuo-gai, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City for lunch. I felt like having seafood, so I decided to check out this place as I have been working around Hakata Station a lot lately. The restaurant had a large signboard displaying a variety of seafood dishes, so I was excited to try it out. The interior had counter seats and table seats, with partitions for COVID-19 prevention. Alcohol disinfection was also being practiced, which is now a common practice. The popular menu items included a variety of seafood bowls and sashimi set meals. One of the recommended dishes was the Hakata Don for 1,540 yen, which included sesame mackerel, mentaiko, and spicy pickled greens. The dish was served in a square container and looked luxurious. Other seafood items like tuna, squid, and crab meat were also included. The sesame mackerel was fresh and crunchy. After finishing the meal, I felt a bit unsatisfied, so I thought maybe getting extra rice would have been a good idea. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

Seafood izakaya located in the "Kuuten (restaurant street)" directly connected to Hakata Station. I saw a limited lunch menu displayed at the storefront and decided to try it out. I have a weakness for limited items. (^_^; The restaurant is spacious and has implemented basic infection prevention measures.
I ordered the "TokTok set meal" with a choice of side dish, which affects the price. I chose potato salad, which cost 1100 yen.
The main dish was the "sardine hamburger" which tasted like a large meatball made with sardines. However, I felt the saltiness was a bit strong, maybe because I am sensitive to salt.
Another main dish was the "miso-marinated sea bream" with two small slices, it tasted average.
The homemade potato salad was delicious.
There was also dried radish.
Rice refills were free.
Pickles and miso soup were also included.
It was a lunch that felt like an izakaya, but it was nice to be able to choose the side dishes. However, since it's a seafood izakaya, I probably should have tried the sashimi. (^_^;

This is a restaurant located in Hakata Station Building, known for its fish dishes, which would normally be a seafood izakaya at night. Even during the state of emergency, we couldn't drink alcohol, but we still enjoyed fresh and delicious fish dishes. It was our last meal here, as it was too lonely to have only one proper night out eating during our stay in Fukuoka. Most customers were having fish set meals, but we decided to order individual fish dishes. The sesame mackerel with mentaiko (seared) was really good, giving us a taste of Fukuoka. The assorted sashimi was also delicious. The standout dish was the simmered fish head (ara-ni), and we ordered red snapper and barracuda. It took some time, but the flavors were rich and satisfying. We couldn't help but wish we could have some sake with these dishes. The convenience of access to various modes of transportation is also a plus point here. Especially with the Shinkansen, it's just a short elevator ride down to the platform. Additionally, the subway access from Hakata Station to Fukuoka Airport is excellent, so you can enjoy here until the very last minute. Well, it's all about personal responsibility in the end (laughs).

I used Ranpas again this time, just like last time. The menu was the same as last time, tuna marinated rice bowl (with miso soup, side dish, pickles) for 880 yen, now discounted to 500 yen. I arrived around 11:30 and there were only 2 other customers in the restaurant, both dining alone like me. I sat at the counter and my food arrived in about 3 minutes, very fast. I chose the regular amount of rice. The tuna was fresh and the special soy sauce was delicious. Many surrounding restaurants were closed due to the state of emergency, so I appreciate this restaurant staying open. The staff were also very friendly and provided good service.

I visited the restaurant wanting to eat a seafood bowl for lunch, but it was sold out so I reluctantly ordered the marinated tuna bowl instead. The appearance was quite beautiful with fine fibers and a nice color. When I tried to pick up a piece with chopsticks, it was so soft that it was hard to grab. I tried eating it with a spoon and the texture was smooth and the freshness was good. It may have been just a coincidence, but to serve such a fatty part in a marinated tuna bowl was quite impressive.

I went to this restaurant after seeing it in a magazine. I arrived a little after 11 o'clock and there was one customer already there. I was seated at the counter. The interior of the restaurant was clean and the staff seemed friendly, creating a nice atmosphere. I ordered the tuna marinated rice bowl set from the special menu, which came with miso soup, a small side dish, and pickles. The regular price was 880 yen, but with the discount it was only 500 yen. I chose the normal amount of rice. The tuna was well marinated and fresh, very delicious. It also came with a side of sesame sauce, which was a nice touch.

In early November, I went to the restaurant alone on a Saturday. I hadn't been there in a while, so I decided to ask if they could make half portions for me, and they did for almost everything. And to my surprise, they charged me only half the price. I was extremely happy. I enjoyed various seafood such as shrimp, crab, oysters, and sashimi platter. The sashimi platter was meticulously prepared with garnishes and sauces, and it was delicious. I highly recommend it. [Ordered Items] - Assorted sashimi (for one) ¥1200 - Shrimp mayo and avocado salad (half) ¥600 - Crab miso cheese with garlic toast (half) ¥375 - Fried oysters (half) ¥425 - Shrimp dumplings (half) ¥425 Thank you for the delicious meal.
