I came to this restaurant, Whity Umeda, to try the visually striking shrimp tempura sushi that I saw on the internet. Despite being a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, the place was not very spacious and only had counter seats. Surprisingly, the sushi was actually rotating around the counter. The seating arrangement was quite tight, almost like at a popular ramen shop. I ordered squid, octopus, tuna, and the main attraction - the shrimp tempura sushi. The 100 yen sushi was tasty, but the highlight was definitely the jumbo-sized shrimp tempura sushi, which was satisfying and delicious. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

We missed lunch time and decided to eat at this sushi restaurant we found at "Whity Umeda" around 2pm. It was a good choice as we could adjust the amount of sushi we ate to match our dinner plans. We enjoyed a variety of delicious and somewhat rare sushi, such as the Bluefin Tuna Belly (Otoro) for 550 yen per piece, Seared Fatty Tuna (Aburi Otoro) for 380 yen per piece, and Lean Tuna (Akami) for 280 yen per two pieces. On April 20, 2022, three men left the first restaurant "Sawara" and decided to end their meal by going to "Sashisu" at Whity Umeda for sushi. However, there was a wait of over 10 people after 8 pm! So, they ended up going to "Daiki Suisan" for conveyor belt sushi. They ordered draft beer, marinated tuna, sea bream, one more dish (which they forgot), and clam soup, all for around 4,000 yen in total. I visited this restaurant before my errands and thought it would be a nice little snack for my stomach. I had dishes like buri (yellowtail) and ika (squid) with natto (fermented soybeans) on sushi rice, and they were delicious with a good balance of fish and rice. The fish was fresh and tasty. I may have added a bit too much wasabi, as it was quite spicy and the heat lingered in my nose. I need to be careful not to overdo it next time. The tea I had afterwards was a nice complement to the sushi and very enjoyable. I really like clam miso soup, especially with a little bit of mitsuba (trefoil). - Tuna for 110 yen: I don't usually order tuna, but it's only 110 yen, so I gave it a try. It's simple and delicious. I noticed it's labeled as Ine tuna, a famous brand from Kyoto. - Squid for 110 yen: Squid looks more complex than regular squid, but it's only 110 yen. It comes with ginger on top, and the texture of the tentacles is nice. I think it tastes better with a little more soy sauce. - After enjoying the sushi with some pickled ginger and hot tea, I felt satisfied. When I went to pay, the staff asked if I had a clam miso soup coupon. I felt a bit cheap using a coupon after eating so little, but they gave me a coupon for next time. I will definitely come back. The sushi... the freshness was not great, it was on par with a 100 yen kaiten sushi place. Well, the fatty tuna was probably not available at a 100 yen kaiten sushi place? Sushi was rotating on the conveyor belt, but it was the same limited selection every time. In other words, if you want something specific, you have to order from the staff. This doesn't really serve the purpose of conveyor belt sushi. It was too much trouble to keep calling the staff to place an order, so I ended up just eating what was available on the belt. Since the items I wanted to eat weren't coming around, I decided to leave. I feel like it wasn't like this the last time I came!
