This is a skewer restaurant located between shops. The exterior has a slightly upscale atmosphere, but the cost performance is quite good. The interior has two 4-person tables and about 6 counter seats, making it a very cozy place. Since it was the second restaurant we visited today, we didn't order a lot of dishes, but there were many delicious-looking menu items. This time, we ordered cucumber, assorted skewers, and thick meaty mushrooms. The mushrooms were really thick and delicious!! It's a must-try dish!!

I stopped by a place called "Mame" that caught my eye while walking around Temma for drinks. The place was almost full, but luckily I managed to get a seat. I had already had quite a few drinks, so I ordered a tomato sour and several yakitori skewers. Sitting at the counter, I could see the yakitori being grilled right in front of me. I raised my glass for a cheers with the tomato sour, and soon the appetizer and yakitori arrived. The sweet and savory sauce soaked into the meat was delicious, especially the hormone skewers were outstanding. The food went really well with the drinks, and I could see why this place is popular with its good value. There were still many tempting items on the menu, but my stomach had reached its limit. This was enough for this time. Thank you for the meal!

Charcoal-grilled chicken Mame Today, sige and usagi had a meeting at JR Temma Station because sige had work in Umeda. We decided to meet at the perfect time. Since we wanted to try a new place for lunch, we didn't decide on a restaurant beforehand and just arrived at JR Temma Station. As we walked towards the north side of the station, we noticed a row of small, stand-like shops in narrow alleys. It was a nice atmosphere, and we thought we might have trouble choosing a restaurant, but as soon as we turned right, we found a place that caught our eye. We entered a cozy yakitori restaurant with two 4-person table seats and an 8-seat counter. The restaurant had a bar-like ambiance and didn't look like a typical yakitori place at first glance. As we entered, the staff greeted us with lovely smiles. I ordered a seasonal sour drink (citrus sour) and sige ordered his usual highball. Let the feast begin! We quickly ordered the appetizer of cabbage with sesame oil and salt, and then ordered seared chicken Tataki, grilled chicken tail, miso-marinated cream cheese, kuse cue, and a small salad. We also ordered a second round of drinks and more skewers. The skewers we ordered included minced chicken, chicken skin, knee cartilage, chicken tail, leek with chicken, chicken liver, and at tubu's request, seared tomato wrapped in ham. As we waited for the food to arrive, sige's "new place discovery sensor" was on high alert, and he chose the restaurant with confidence. The food started arriving, and we enjoyed dishes like kuse cue, miso-marinated cream cheese, and salad. The seared chicken Tataki was slightly undercooked for my liking, but the grilled chicken tail and knee cartilage were delicious. The miso-marinated cream cheese had a rich flavor, and the salad was perfectly seasoned. The grilled chicken tail with sweet soy sauce and ginger was a hit, and the chicken liver was rich and flavorful. The minced chicken skewer had a nice texture and flavor. As we enjoyed our meal, sige ordered another round of drinks, and I switched to freshly squeezed grapefruit sour. The skewers were cooked to perfection, with the chicken skin, knee cartilage, and chicken tail being highlights. The leek with chicken had a great combination of flavors, and the chicken liver was rich and velvety. The minced chicken skewer was a delightful melody of textures. Just when we were thinking of having one more drink before leaving, sige went into overdrive and ordered a bottle of high-end red wine. We also ordered seared bacon, which turned out to be delicious. It was a fun night in Temma that we won't forget. Charcoal-grilled chicken Mame - 3.61 Food: 3

After leaving Fukushima, instead of going to Umeda, I headed straight to Temma since it was already past 9 PM, I decided to save exploring the station building for the next day. Upon arriving in Temma, I started wandering around. Last time I visited Osaka, I couldn't come to Temma due to the rain, so I was excited to explore the area this time. Among the various shops, one that caught my eye was this place called Honki Sumibi Yaki Tori Mame. The exterior gave off a slightly high-end impression, but looking at the menu outside, the prices seemed reasonable. And when I searched on Tabelog, it turned out to be a highly rated restaurant. It seems like I have a good eye for spotting good places (laughs). However, when I peeked inside the restaurant, I noticed that it was filled with young people... It felt a bit awkward for a lone middle-aged man to enter... I hesitated for a moment, but I thought if I don't visit now, I might not get another chance. So, I bravely entered the restaurant. The interior was cozy, and I was guided to a counter seat near the entrance. I started with a glass of draft beer and was served cabbage yakitori as a complimentary dish. The downside of this place is the rule of ordering in pairs of two skewers. It's fine if you come as a couple, but for a solo diner, it limits the variety you can try. Many restaurants have this rule, which has made me give up on visiting them in the past. I asked the female staff, and she said it's okay to order one skewer at a time. This flexibility might be one of the reasons for the restaurant's popularity. So, I chose the following: - Gokujou Tsukune x2 - Seseri (chicken neck) - Negima (chicken thigh with leek) - Sasami (chicken tenderloin) with plum sauce, a total of 5 skewers. This was my fourth stop, so I decided to go easy on the ordering. The restaurant lives up to its name "Honki Sumibi Yaki" as they were using charcoal for grilling right in front of us. The person in charge of grilling must be working in intense heat, but it was exciting to watch. By the way, the head of the grill reminded me of figure skater Shoma Uno (laughs). While Yuzuru Hanyu is more popular among women due to his looks, personally, I envy Shoma Uno for reportedly dating Marin Honda (laughs). As for the yakitori, they were all delicious being grilled over charcoal. The tsukune was so tender that it almost fell off the skewer, luckily it landed on the plate. Personally, I prefer tsukune to be a bit firmer. Nevertheless, the service from the staff was excellent. It's no wonder this place has high ratings even though it's somewhat hidden.

I visited the yakitori restaurant "Honki Sumibi Yaki Tori Mame" in Temma on a weekday evening without a reservation, but luckily managed to get in just in time. We were seated at the counter as a party of two. The restaurant is quite small, and passing by the counter with people seated can be a tight squeeze. [Order] - Tsukune x2 - Seared tomato wrapped in prosciutto - Kokoro - Seared chicken tataki Everything was delicious and cost around 2500 yen per person. I would like to visit again.

After going to a standing bar, we came here to toast with draft beer and ordered some delicious yakitori. I saw someone ordering shiitake mushrooms and it looked really good, so I ordered it too. The liver was rare and delicious, the seseri had a nice texture, and the sekan (back liver) had a good chewy taste. The tsukune was fluffy and tasty. I was a bit drunk so I don't remember much, but I do remember that ordering yakitori was cheap and delicious! I can't remember what the otoshi (appetizer) was though. The total bill for two people was 4,466 yen, including: - Draft beer x2 - Draft small beer - Highball - Kuse Kyu (chicken skewers) - Seseri (chicken neck) - Liver - Tsukune (chicken meatballs) - Toro horumon (back liver) - Shiitake mushrooms - Otoshi x2

I went with my dear friend for a single match until 8 pm. We had the omakase course with all-you-can-drink for 4,000 yen. I wish I had eaten a little more yakitori. We drank a lot, so I think we got our money's worth. I don't remember the second half. The restaurant is a bit small, so I'm concerned about the crowd, but I think it's a good place. It was delicious.

ASAHI Super Dry is delicious! The beer is delicious! This was my first time visiting this yakitori restaurant in Temma. We made a same-day reservation for 3 people. The interior of the restaurant is small, so I was worried about COVID-19 measures. - Nasu (eggplant) was extremely delicious! - Fresh morning chicken liver was tasty - Dashimaki tamago (rolled omelette) - Yakitori assortment - Tebasaki (chicken wings) - Negima (chicken and leek skewers) Grilled chicken is always delicious! The sauce lacked a punch, but the grilling was decent. It seems to be popular in Temma, with many regular customers. The staff were enthusiastic, and the atmosphere was great for drinking! The speed from ordering to being served was very fast. The tsukune (chicken meatballs) were extremely delicious and seem to be a specialty dish here. The soft tsukune meat had large pieces of cartilage, providing a satisfying chewiness. The flavor paired well with the sauce and was delicious. I wish there was a place like this in my neighborhood. Concerns about COVID-19 and avoiding close contact are on my mind, but I realized that it's impossible to avoid close contact in this type of restaurant, and measures are difficult to implement. I really hope that COVID-19 ends soon.

I climbed up to Temma and felt like having high-quality protein with chicken. I came back to this place that I enjoyed before. Sat at the counter this time. Watching the chef's skills always gets me excited. The sashimi was delicious and the grilled dishes were cooked perfectly. It's still a great restaurant. Left early this time! Thank you for the meal.

I hadn't visited Temma for a long time, but when I went back recently, I found that there were more interesting new shops. It's not that the number of shops has increased in this lively area, but rather that they have been replaced by new ones. This area is one of the top entertainment districts in Osaka, with many customers and a large number of shops. Once a shop gains a good reputation, customers flock to it, but if not, they struggle. I ended up at a yakitori restaurant called "Mame" that opens at 4 pm, which was convenient. I started with a beer, which was fresh and had no unpleasant smell. The tsukune (chicken meatballs) were delicious, with a perfect balance of tenderness and juiciness. The yakitori allowed me to savor the natural flavor of the chicken, and the grilling was just right. Despite the small space, I appreciated the thoughtfulness towards the customers. In a place with frequent turnover, I believe this shop will continue to thrive in the future. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I had some errands to run in Senba-cho, so on my way back, I decided to stop by the Tenjinbashi Suji Shopping Street to have some yakitori. I searched on Tabelog and found a highly rated restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. It was a small shop tucked away in a slightly intimidating alley, with young staff grilling skewers over charcoal. I sat at the counter and started with a draft beer. For food, I had: 1. Cabbage appetizer with salt koji? sauce - delicious! 2. Cucumber with a nice crunch - good! 3. Komakurage (cucumber) with sake - let's go for it. It's dry and served in a wine glass. For dishes, I had: 1. Tsukune (meatball) - tender and tasty. 2. Negima (chicken and leek skewer) with salt - could use bigger pieces of chicken. 3. Hine-dori (twisted chicken) with salt - a bit tough, made with Tajima chicken. 4. Tebasaki (chicken wings) with salt - they even gave me a towel to clean my hands. 5. Sasami (chicken tenderloin) with wasabi - perfect with sake. I also tried another sake, Shuhou from Yamagata, which was also good. Finally, I finished with a chicken soup. The taste of the yakitori was good, but what really stood out were the friendly and attentive staff. Thank you for the meal!

We visited with 5 people. When making the reservation, we requested to include tsukune and chicken tenderloin. When we asked for wine to be served as well, they offered us the chef's choice course for an additional 300 yen! The cabbage had a mild, non-overpowering flavor with a salt dressing. The tsukune, chicken tenderloin, grated daikon, grilled liver, grilled eggplant, grilled shiitake mushrooms, lotus root, hiziki seaweed, and chicken wings were all delicious. Each person had their own portion of raw food. They kept the portion for the person who arrived late refrigerated. The dishes were served on large plates for 3 people and 2 people. The tsukune and chicken tenderloin were especially delicious. Even our friend who is usually critical said, "Everything is unnecessarily delicious!" so we instructed them to say, "Everything is delicious!" All the dishes were tasty! Considering the amount of food and drinks, the price was fantastic! They were a bit late in serving us after 2 hours, but it's understandable for a small restaurant. The staff in the dining area were efficient, but it would be even better if they had more smiles. There was a bit of a contrast with the friendly kitchen staff. It was delicious! We would like to try the à la carte menu next time! Now, off to our usual spot for a nightcap at the bar~♡

Visited around 11:30 PM on a weekday. Only two staff members at the counter and the rest of the restaurant was empty. The interior was small with two table seats and about three pairs of counter seats. Ordered a few skewers, chicken salt yakisoba, and shiitake mushrooms. Despite the low prices, the food was incredibly delicious! The tsukune, in particular, was a specialty and had a fluffy texture that was exquisite. The flavors were all elegant and somewhat light. If the service from the waitstaff was a bit better, it would have been perfect. Overall, satisfied with the cost performance and taste. Will definitely visit again.

It's a small shop but when I visited in the evening, it was full. I ordered several skewers and they were all tender and delicious! The shop serves charcoal-grilled chicken from Hyogo prefecture. They also have several types of sake. There are many drinking establishments in Temma and it's fun. Thank you for the meal!

This summer, a lively gathering of friends~♪(´ω`) I was supposed to be the last one to arrive, but I ended up being the first one at JR Temma Station for the meetup♪(/-\*) Well, the person who arrived early ended up being late due to a detour...haha. So, I walked with the person who arrived later...we went to a place we previously visited in Temma♪ And the shop that rejected us last time happened to have an opening today...so we decided to pay a surprise visit~♪(´ω`) The shop had a relatively cozy space with a counter for 6 people and 2 tables. The staff were stylish and modern-looking guys♪ First, I tried a highball for the first time today, it was refreshing♪ Cabbage appetizer was served first, and the sauce was delicious♪ We also had shiso rolls, a popular tsukune dish, and sasami with wasabi~♪ The chewy texture of the tsukune and the tender sasami with wasabi were great♪ We ordered more cabbage because it was so good♪ We also had ginnan, which had a nice texture and was well-seared♪ But ginnan should not be eaten too much...it's almost time for the last person to join us, so we headed to the next restaurant...Bon appétit♪(2018/11/11 First visit)

I didn't think much of this small shop in the narrow alley, but all the yakitori was delicious! There was a surprising incident with the draft beer, but the chicken soup for 50 yen was amazing. It cost around 6000 yen for two people, which was a reasonable price. I want to come back again because it was so tasty!

Drinking and strolling in Temma! The yakitori restaurant I randomly walked into turned out to be another hit... They carefully grill the skewers, cutting off the burnt parts with scissors ✂️ The liver was also fresh! And the tsukune (meatballs) were delicious too (^∇^) I would like to come back again if I have the chance, haha.

Two of us visited the restaurant around 10pm on Friday! Despite arriving late, the restaurant was full due to it being a Friday night. After a 15-minute wait, we were seated at the counter as a customer left. The smell of yakitori from inside was amazing. The interior was cozy, with a counter and two small tables. Handwritten menus were posted, creating a calming atmosphere. We ordered chicken hearts and leeks yakitori! The chicken was tender, and the flavor mixed perfectly with the sauce. The chicken tenderloin with wasabi was also a nice touch. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and we were extremely satisfied with the restaurant!!! The fried rice was especially impressive!! Definitely try it out.

A small restaurant in a narrow alley behind Temma Station. I was curious about it because I used to pass by the front of the store occasionally when drinking in Ura Temma. Despite the name "Mame-san," this place mainly serves yakitori. The interior of the store is small and calm. I decided to order my favorite items. The seared tomato wrapped in prosciutto, seared hormone, and bonjiri were delicious. The avocado and chicken breast skewer was surprisingly juicy and tender. The seared hormone was so delicious that I wanted to order another one. It goes really well with alcohol! The salad was large, but you can adjust the size according to the number of people. It was very tasty! I regret not trying the local chicken chashu and soup later. Everything I ordered was delicious, and I would love to visit again. Next time, I'll definitely order the chashu and soup. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
