Well, the motorcycle season is coming to an end. Since it gets dark early, I have a rule to return home while it's still light, so I can't go too far. I searched for a place to have lunch and decided to go here. The restaurant's top page on Tabelog mentioned to refer to Google Maps, but the location on Tabelog map was completely different (now corrected). So I transferred the Google Maps location to my motorcycle navigation system and visited the restaurant. The name says "Restaurant on the Hill," but the road is flat even when riding a bike, so you don't feel like you're on a hill. However, when you look at the back of the restaurant, you can feel that it's on a small hill. The entrance is barrier-free, and all seats are tables, so I felt a bit awkward sitting alone. There are no set menus, so you can choose your favorite appetizer, main dish, and dessert. I ordered corn soup for the appetizer and garlic sautéed Rusutsu pork shoulder loin with homemade potato bread for the main dish. The corn soup had a delicious texture and flavor that spread in my mouth. When the main dish arrived, I thought, "Huh? Not much meat!" It was supposed to be garlic sautéed, so I imagined a steak-like pork, but in reality, there was a small piece of meat on one side of the plate, and the main focus was on the vegetables. I bit into what I thought was a potato and realized it was a turnip, and it was delicious! The other vegetables were also tasty, and I understood that this restaurant focuses on vegetables. The garlic sautéed Rusutsu pork shoulder loin had a strong garlic flavor and the right amount of salt, but it fell short in presentation and quantity (laughs). Surprisingly, the homemade potato bread was delicious, so next time I'll order two portions. Thank you for the meal.
