(Visited on March 9, 2018) While checking new restaurants on Tabelog, I discovered a new restaurant nearby. And they serve raw lamb Genghis Khan? As a lamb lover and someone who got hooked on Genghis Khan at Yukidaruma, I immediately contacted my gourmet friends in the neighborhood. Raw lamb Genghis Khan in Osaka! And it's nearby! I made a reservation with my gourmet friends in the neighborhood and a lamb enthusiast to go eat (*´ω`*). We made a reservation for three at 19:30. The restaurant is located on the east side of Tsukamoto Station, next to Totosushi. I wonder what kind of restaurant it used to be here? It looks like a place that was taken over, but I can't remember what it used to be (;´д`). Upon opening the rattling sliding door, we entered to find a counter with about seven seats and three tables in a raised tatami area. We were guided to the back raised tatami area. The raised tatami area is a sunken kotatsu style, with roll curtains that can be used to separate each table. Each table had a shichirin stove with a Genghis Khan pot on top. The table was set with two types of Genghis Khan sauce and salt. We ordered the all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink course (5000 yen). It was a weekend, and the restaurant was almost full. The restaurant had the male owner (I feel like I've met him somewhere before??) and two part-time staff. They quickly brought out the food and drinks when we ordered, and they were friendly and pleasant. However, the heat of the shichirin stove... was weak... (;´д`) No matter how high we turned it up, and with the thickness of the meat, it was difficult to cook the meat (;´д`). The first thing that comes out is a platter of meat and a platter of grilled vegetables (which only consisted of onions and bean sprouts). We couldn't place the next order until we finished eating them, so the three of us, who were hungry, were in a frustrating situation with the shichirin stove that wouldn't cook (;´д`). We weren't given any instructions on whether the raw lamb should be cooked all the way through or if it was okay to have it somewhat rare, so we erred on the side of caution and tried to cook it thoroughly, which took about 15 minutes (;´д`). It would have been nice if they had more side menu options to fill the gap. At least include lamb sashimi or lamb sausages on the menu. We weren't rushed to finish within 90 minutes, but I wish the cooking process was a bit faster (;´д`). Thank you for the meal.・All-you-can-eat + all-you-can-drink (tax included 5000 yen) ... A platter of meat and a platter of grilled vegetables come out first, and then we ordered the following.<Lamb Meat>Shoulder loin, shoulder lamp, seasoned lamb tenderloin (served when ready)<Vegetables>Onions, bean sprouts, mini salad<Rice Dishes>Rice (small, medium, large), rice with lamb tenderloin on top<Dessert>Today's ice cream (one per person)There are three types of lamb meat, but honestly, I couldn't tell the difference in taste. Even within the same cut, there were some pieces with tough tendons and some that were tender and juicy. Since the raw lamb is not seasoned, it had a slight gaminess when eaten with just salt. It would have been nice to have a garlic-based sauce or cumin salt. However, the sauce was slightly sweet and weak. The grilled vegetables included only onions and bean sprouts, which was a bit disappointing. Especially the bean sprouts were difficult to pick up and eat as they got stuck in the grill grooves (;´д`). The seasoned lamb tenderloin had a sweet and spicy seasoning. The meat was delicious, but I wasn't a fan of the sweet and spicy flavor. The rice with lamb tenderloin on top was this dish served on rice. The strong sweet and spicy seasoning might go well with rice. I was too full to eat it, but my friends ordered it as a closer. The mini salad was truly mini, so we ordered three portions. We ate the vegetables while waiting for the meat to cook. The dessert ice cream was made from sheep's milk and was light and delicious.<Drinks>Draft beer, chu-hi, cocktails, wine, whiskey, shochu, plum wine, sake, etc.
