I visited Tokyo Interior Osaka store, a furniture and miscellaneous goods shop, in the afternoon and decided to have lunch there. It was a self-service restaurant where it used to be difficult to find a seat and there would be long lines at the cashier to place an order. However, on that day, I was able to secure a seat of my choice and the recommended menu items were not sold out. I enjoyed a casual pasta lunch in a relaxed sofa seat.

I went furniture shopping with a friend to Tokyo Interior and IKEA. We had lunch at IKEA and then went back and forth between the two stores, looking at furniture and interior goods. After finishing shopping, I suggested to my friend that we have tea at Tokyo Interior, where I had been eyeing the sign at the entrance advertising "Waffle with drink for 850 yen". The café had various comfortable sofas, typical of a furniture store. We were able to choose a spot as it was not crowded. We ordered the waffle with a drink for less than 1,000 yen, which was a great deal. The waffle had ice cream and fruits on top, and it was delicious. We relaxed on the comfy sofa, chatting away, and ended up staying until closing time.

First, Tokyo Interior! (laughs) There were so many favorite items beyond my expectations, and as I looked around, my stomach started growling, so I headed to the cafe inside the store. Since it was a weekday, the atmosphere was quiet with piano music playing in the background, and the only sound echoing was the clinking of cutlery, just like a hotel. I ordered the Ebiko and Tomato Genovese Pasta Soup with a drink (coffee) for 1170 yen. The order is self-service style, and you are given a bell. I chose a sofa seat, and the sofa was incredibly comfortable! I didn't want to leave (laughs). The tableware was also lovely, all by Tokyo Interior. The lunch was delicious, but be aware that they only accept cash for payment.

You can take a break when you're a bit tired, and enjoy a coffee while waiting. Having omelette rice while listening to the piano play makes you feel like a celebrity! The fluffy egg on top of the omelette rice was delicious! I won't comment on the portion size! haha Thank you for the meal! I will definitely go back again!

While shopping at IKEA and Tokyo Interior, I stopped for lunch. Since IKEA was crowded, I decided to have lunch here. It was around 12 o'clock on Sunday, but I was able to find a seat without waiting. I ordered a hot dog, a safe choice no matter where you eat. I went for the Salsa Dog because I love spicy food. When you order at the counter, they give you a buzzer like at a service area. When the buzzer goes off, it means your order is ready, so you have to go pick it up at the counter. The seating area was spacious and quiet compared to IKEA, making it a good place to consider your shopping list again. The Salsa Dog had a crispy surface on the bun. The bread was just a regular roll. The salsa was, of course, spicy. Hot dogs never disappoint no matter where you eat them. The salad had a soy sauce base and was a bit on the salty side. I plan to try a different menu item next time. It's a shame that they don't have free Wi-Fi.

I went to the cafe "MOA cafe" located inside Tokyo Interior Furniture, across from IKEA in Tsuruhama. They have a self-service system where you pay in advance. The menu offers dishes such as creamy omelette rice soup set and beef stew soup set. The beef stew had a generous amount of potatoes but lacked meat, although the sauce was delicious. The clam chowder was rich and flavorful, with plenty of clams. The cafe has a variety of seating options, including tables, counter seats, and seats with power outlets. Tokyo Interior offers a free shuttle bus service every 2 hours.

In Osaka's Taisho Ward, IKEA Tsuruhama and Tokyo Interior are located across from each other. While I have visited IKEA many times, this time I decided to check out Tokyo Interior for the first time. Both stores have a casual atmosphere, but while IKEA has a pop feel, Tokyo Interior gives off a more chic vibe. This difference is also reflected in their restaurants. The IKEA restaurant is bustling with families and children, where it's okay for kids to make some noise. On the other hand, at Moa Cafe, the atmosphere is quieter, making it a perfect spot for those looking for a peaceful dining experience. My wife ordered the Beef Stew Set, and I got the Omelette Rice Set, both of us also added a soup to our order. We expected microwaved food, but the wait was longer than anticipated, suggesting that the food was cooked in the kitchen. The omelette was fluffy and the rice was soft, not like the kind with a firm core, but properly cooked. The taste was decent. We chose the Corn Cream Soup, which had a slightly dull color but was thick, with plenty of corn and served piping hot. It was delicious. My wife found the Beef Stew to be okay, but lacking in meat and heavy on potatoes. She also enjoyed the Clam Chowder she ordered. She mentioned that rice didn't go well with the Beef Stew, so it might be a good idea to offer bread as an option.

I went to buy furniture before the tax increase. I was looking for a place to eat lunch on the way from Umeda to this store, and the only options with Sunday opening and parking were McDonald's or a conveyor belt sushi place. I was hoping to find something else, but ended up here. I decided to eat here and got in line to order, but there was a sign saying "Over 60 minutes wait." I thought I could handle a 30-minute wait, but ended up waiting 70 minutes haha. The pasta was surprisingly delicious, with a tomato sauce that wasn't too strong, a good mix of vegetables, and perfectly cooked pasta. My wife ordered the mentaiko pasta, which was slightly spicy with a nice balance of butter, saltiness from the mentaiko, and great pasta texture. Honestly, I didn't think it was worth a 70-minute wait, but the store staff mentioned that it was extremely crowded that day due to the furniture store being busy, so I guess it couldn't be helped.

A spacious cafe in Tokyo with no obstacles, where the sound of a piano playing automatically fills the air, creating a sense of openness. Enjoy a colorful vegetable caponata sauce pasta with zucchini and eggplant, as well as a Napoli-style pizza with a fluffy crust, tangy sauce, and sweet corn. The coffee and hot tea selection is great for long stays, with various seating options available.

Somehow, whenever I go to IKEA, I end up stopping by this Tokyo Interior as well... They've got it all figured out, don't they? (laughs) Well, they don't sell the same stuff, so it's all good! And this spacious cafe... It's quite nice, isn't it? Even though it's self-service. The piano music playing adds a stylish touch. I had a waffle! I got it with a drink set, and had an iced milk tea. It was freshly made and delicious! The ice cream was also tasty! They have light meals too, so it's quite nice! I'd like to go back again.

I ordered a ginger ale, which is nothing special, but somehow it tastes delicious when you can relax. When I get tired of walking around the spacious store, I take a break here.

Specialty stores are also evolving. It is a large furniture store located in the suburbs, but there are no restaurants nearby. They have a café in the center of the store where you can also have lunch! You can choose from pasta, pizza, hamburger, or stew as your main dish, or order them separately. I chose the squid mentaiko pasta, minestrone soup, and ginger ale as a set for 1100 yen, which was decent. My partner had the hamburger with corn soup and was quite satisfied with the stylish presentation and taste. The portion of my pasta was generous, but the taste was average, similar to what you would find at a family restaurant. It was a fair price for what you get. The atmosphere was nice with comfortable sofas, and there was even a piano performance and live singing show that day, making us feel like we got a good deal.
