On July 25, 2023 (Tuesday) around 10:20 PM, I think the tonkotsu ramen should still be open at this time... and it was! Today, I think I'll go with the tonkotsu ramen. Here it comes... topped with pickled ginger! Ahh... beautiful. The tonkotsu broth is so gentle! The pickled ginger goes so well with it! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On June 1, 2023, around 10:45 PM, I love curry ramen. I also love curry. But I may not have voluntarily ordered curry ramen before... I also like curry udon and often eat curry spaghetti. In fact, curry flavor is my favorite for cup noodles, but I have never ordered curry ramen. I felt conflicted. So, I decided to order it today. Maybe the restaurant also recommends curry ramen... I don't know... This is curry ramen... Personally, I feel it's best for lunch, maybe with white rice. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a Chinese restaurant in the city center. The menu is quite limited with the usual items. I ordered the basic ramen and fried rice set. It's not clear if it's a ramen set or a fried rice set, but I ordered the ramen set. They even served pickled ginger. The portions of the ramen and fried rice were on the smaller side. The seasoning was traditional Chinese style. The 10-yen boiled egg is currently not available due to price increases, but they may reintroduce it after a price adjustment. I would like to visit again when it's back on the menu.

I happened to pass by Heiwa-san and decided to stop by. It was an old-fashioned ramen shop. The fried rice was served with an egg on top, and it seemed like it was cooked in a rice cooker. The owner's kind and gentle service was good. It's a smoking-friendly establishment, so be aware if that's a concern for you. Thank you for the meal.

I went to a cool restaurant located between Shibata in Umeda and Nakatsu. The interior of the restaurant has a vintage feel, and the owner is working hard. This time, I ordered the soy sauce ramen and fried rice (small) set. The ramen is a traditional Chinese soba with thin noodles and a nostalgic flavor with a firm ramen texture. It has plenty of pork belly chashu that is fatty and tender! I wish I had ordered the pork platter and beer if it wasn't lunchtime... The vegetables include seaweed, bean sprouts, and green onions, making it a hearty dish! And the fried rice has an egg on top! How wonderful! Honestly, I haven't seen that much before, haha. When I tried it, the fried rice was quite oily with a strong salt and pepper flavor. There were some burnt parts like carrots, onions, and green onions, but it was within an acceptable range, although it bothered me a bit. I thought the set would cost around 1000 yen, but when I paid, I got 120 yen back, haha. I don't know the calculation, but I think it's the lunch price, haha. Thank you for the meal! For those who love traditional Chinese soba, I highly recommend it!

A quaint and traditional Chinese restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. They offer a Service Set (fried rice set) for 890 yen. You can choose from soy sauce, tonkotsu, or miso ramen. There are boiled eggs available at the counter for you to enjoy. I stumbled upon this place while walking around on an empty stomach. It's a bit hidden in a not-so-easy-to-find location. The couple who run the place seemed busy. The owner kept asking, "Is the food okay? If you need more, just let me know!" The taste was average. However, this restaurant allows smoking, and the man next to me was smoking heavily, making it uncomfortable. I wonder if many restaurants in Osaka are like this...

On the way back from Ramen Heiwa in Umeda. Had a bowl of ramen to finish off the night. Last time I tried to go, it was full and I had to give up. The kind atmosphere of the owner made me feel truly at peace, just like the name "Heiwa" suggests. It's been a while since I felt so healed after drinking. Thanks for the meal. #ClosingRamen #HealingRamenShop #UmedaRamen #NakatsuRamen #UmedaGourmet #NakatsuGourmet #OsakaGourmet #KansaiGourmet #DrinkingAlone #DrinkingAloneFemale #WantToConnectWithPeopleWhoLikeDrinkingAlone #Osaka #Kansai #BarHopping #EatingOut #DrinkingOut #BarCrawling #IzakayaCrawling #osaka #japan

In June in Osaka, the third round with friends was at a ramen shop located close to the yakiniku restaurant Akane where we had our second round. The ramen shop is on the other side under the overpass. It's said that if it's not too crowded, they will let you stay and relax. Luckily, there was a seat available, so we sat down. However, being in my 50s, I was almost full, so I just ordered a lemon sour and some gyoza. Char siu came as a side dish. My friend ordered an additional boiled egg. Later, his girlfriend arrived and they shared some ankake yakisoba. The owner of the shop mentioned he is from Ikata in Ehime. The gyoza had a crispy skin which was delicious. The boiled egg was perfectly cooked with a soft white and a slightly firm yolk. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the ramen as it was too big. It seemed to have a substantial volume. I will definitely come back again.

This is a ramen restaurant with a yellow sign as a landmark. The building has a nostalgic Showa era feel, with a small and quaint layout. The interior features an L-shaped counter surrounding the kitchen. There are signboards on the walls and ashtrays on the tables, although smoking policy was not confirmed. They also offer izakaya-style dishes, so you could enjoy ramen for lunch and switch to izakaya for dinner. I tried the tsukemen, which had regular ramen noodles with slices of chashu and chopped shiso on top. The dipping sauce had other ingredients as well, making it a refreshing option for hot weather. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Dish tried: Tsukemen...¥790.

The menu offers a variety of options, including champon, plate udon, and yakisoba in the ramen category. Before placing our order, a boiled egg arrived at our table, which was a bit surprising. It turns out that until 8 pm, you can enjoy unlimited boiled eggs for just 10 yen as a service provided by the restaurant. We ordered the "Curry Ramen" that had caught our attention. The soup had a mild curry flavor with a mellow taste, topped with crunchy vegetables and stir-fried pork belly. The noodles were thin straight noodles. While it lacked a spicy kick, the rich flavor of the curry combined with the ample noodles made for a satisfying meal. The portion size may be hard to gauge, but the bowl was large and the ramen was a filling specialty of the restaurant. The shop has been in business for over 20 years, and before the pandemic, they used to operate until late at night. They also offer a variety of Chinese stir-fried dishes, including the popular roasted pork set meal, attracting many fans who visit late into the night after drinking nearby. This place seems to be a favorite among locals for a late-night ramen fix after a night out, making it a must-visit spot for those exploring local Chinese cuisine.

Ramen and rice are served in a unique location between Hankyu Umeda and Nakatsu, in a somewhat obscure area that seems to be both a bustling district and a roadside spot. The atmosphere is a bit junky, but the owner works hard while chatting cheerfully and vigorously tossing the wok for fried rice. Quickly and skillfully, they serve up ramen and fried rice. Despite the current situation, they seem to be done in no time and appear relaxed. The food is served quickly and tastes great, plus you can eat unlimited eggs for only 10 yen, which is a good deal. Thank you for the meal.

A few minutes' walk from Nakatsu Station on various lines. I stopped by here today. The exterior looks a bit run-down and hard to enter. The menu mainly consists of ramen. So, I ordered the ramen set. You can choose from soy sauce, miso, or tonkotsu ramen, so I went with the standard soy sauce. Let's dig in! The ramen has a nostalgic appearance. It tastes like a mix of commercial soup and chicken broth. The noodles are just ordinary, nothing special. The fried rice is well-cooked and has a homely taste rather than a specialty shop taste. It's a bit on the sweet side with onions in it. Although it was listed as a small size on the menu, the portion was relatively generous. If you want, you can add all-you-can-eat boiled eggs for an extra 10 yen until 8 pm. So, thank you for the meal! As I finished eating, the owner said, "If you need more rice, just let me know," which is a rare thing to hear after finishing fried rice. It's incredible hospitality. Even after paying, they saw us off with heartfelt thanks, making it a very pleasant dinner. Despite the run-down exterior, the kitchen is clean, and the ventilation fan is spotless. Combined with the excellent service, the cleanliness is top-notch. It's a place where you can feel nostalgic vibes even in the city.

Charming restaurant! I ordered the miso ramen and Tianjin rice set. The ramen was simple but quite delicious and a good value for the price. Next was the Tianjin rice, which lacked a bit of saltiness. Overall, it tasted better than cafeteria food.

During a busy period at work, I found a reasonably priced ramen shop near my office, not far from Umeda towards Nakatsu. I ordered the ramen set for 900 yen with soy sauce flavor, and since it was during a promotional time, I received a free soft-boiled egg. I noticed a sign at the counter that said for an additional 10 yen, you could have all-you-can-eat toppings, which was a nice bonus. The ramen arrived first, a simple soy sauce flavor that went well with some added pepper. The following fried rice portion was generous and had a homely taste to it. The restaurant had a nostalgic feel to it, but considering the location, the portion size, and the cost, it was a decent value overall.

I had dinner in Umeda and then walked a bit to this place. It's a restaurant that I had been curious about as I passed by many times. It was around 10:00 at night, with 2 customers already seated and no one else coming in. The menu was surprisingly extensive. I decided to order the curry ramen, which seemed to be highly recommended. After a short wait, a bowl of ramen was served. It was presented in a slightly larger bowl with plenty of stir-fried toppings on top, giving the impression of a curry version of Nagasaki champon. The soup had a relatively light consistency, with a pork bone broth base and added curry flavor. Although it didn't look very curry-like, it had a decent level of spiciness. The noodles were thin and straight with a slightly soft texture due to their wavy shape. The toppings included bean sprouts, carrots, cabbage, wood ear mushrooms, and minced meat. They provided a crunchy texture. Overall, it was a satisfying bowl of curry-flavored Nagasaki champon with a good amount of volume.

After a rare small drinking party in Umeda, we visited "Ramen Heiwa" for a closing meal. I have passed by this place countless times over the past few decades, but this was my first visit. It was past 8:30 PM and there was only one customer inside. At the entrance, there was hand sanitizer and manga placed on the right side. Since I skipped lunch today and had some room in my stomach, I ordered the "ramen and fried rice set." The shoyu ramen came with toppings such as chashu, wakame, moyashi, and negi, with medium-thin straight noodles in a chicken and pork bone soy sauce base. It had a good amount of oil with a refreshing flavor and a hint of pepper, making it quite delicious. The fried rice was a bit lightly seasoned with a slight sweetness and a moderate amount of oil, making it decent in taste. The menu offers various ramen dishes, champon, and izakaya-style dishes, with condiments like pepper, shichimi, spicy leeks, pickled ginger, and salt on the table. There are only 8 counter seats with a TV installed. They open early in the morning from around 9 AM and the two older gentlemen take turns running the place until late at night. The interior has an old-fashioned atmosphere and may seem cluttered, but surprisingly it was quite cozy.

I had lunch at a restaurant called "Ramen Heiwa" located near the elevated track between Hankyu Umeda Station and Nakatsu Station on the north side of Umeda Station. It is right in the middle of Hankyu Osaka Umeda Station, Nakatsu Station, and Osaka Metro Nakatsu Station, so it gets crowded with office workers during lunchtime. Most people order the set menu, which has five options: A, B, C, D, and for some reason, R instead of E. I ordered the C set, which includes "Curry Ramen + Rice" for 900 yen. The rice that comes with the set is quite a lot, so regular customers sometimes order a smaller portion from the start. If you upgrade the rice to fried rice, it costs an additional 50 yen, making it 950 yen. The combination of curry ramen and rice is really good. Another unique service at this restaurant is that you can order all-you-can-eat boiled eggs for 10 yen until 8 pm. It's a great deal for egg lovers, but the rice portion was already so big that I couldn't even think about eating more eggs. Overall, it was a satisfying meal!

On January 8, 2020 (Wednesday) around 8:15 PM, I decided to have a little bit of pork bowl, dumplings, and bottled beer before heading home! I wandered around Umeda... wandered around... wandered around... I thought, why not have Chinese food! I think it was around here... First, I had a bottle of beer and some dumplings, and then... a pork bowl? I wonder what it's like? Let's try it out! I arrived! Pork bowl! Huh? It's a bit different from what I expected... I took a bite. Mmm, delicious! It's like bibimbap with char siu, maybe with sauce and shiso leaves? A nice accent. It's tasty! Chef! The soup and dumplings are also delicious. Next time, I'll come back for the classic dish! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Date and time of visit: June 24, 2019, 18:45
After work, right at dinner time, I stopped by "Ramen Heiwa" for a quick meal. The restaurant is located on the corner of a large intersection in Nakatsu, which leads to Umeda, Tenroku, Fukushima, and Juso. I ordered the "Ramen Yakimeshi Set." You can choose from three types of ramen: tonkotsu, miso, or soy sauce. This time, I chose soy sauce.
Food Taste: 3.1
The "Ramen Yakimeshi Set" is exactly what it sounds like - a set meal. The soy sauce ramen had a hint of pepper and tasted like traditional Chinese noodles. The noodles were slightly curly and had an average taste and texture. The chashu was a bit dry and tough. The fried rice portion was quite generous, about 0.8 servings. The flavor was a bit light, but the direction was good. It would be quite delicious if it was richer.
Service: 3.3
The owner was friendly and had a typical Osaka uncle vibe. We even had a chat despite it being my first visit. When I asked for permission to take photos, he even gave me a boiled egg to include in the picture. The restaurant's operating hours from 11:00 to 27:00 are incredibly convenient (idol time unknown).
Atmosphere: 2.8
The interior had a typical ramen shop feel and showed its age. There were quite a few posters, giving a cluttered impression. The location near Umeda's office district made it stand out with a Showa-era vibe. There were no other customers when I arrived, and only one customer came in later.
Cost Performance: 3.5
The "Ramen Yakimeshi Set" was 800 yen. The portion was equivalent to about 2 small servings, making it a great deal at this price.

Great location and convenience. The restaurant environment makes it a strong contender for salarymen.

I went to a ramen shop called "Ramen Heiwa" near Naka Station on the subway that I had been curious about. The interior has a retro Showa era vibe. Since I don't have any plans to meet people anymore, I was drawn to the words "lots of garlic" and ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen for 800 yen. It arrived in about five minutes. The ramen has a lot of ingredients in it. Hmm, but it's a ramen without much uniqueness. I didn't really feel the garlic either. Adding the condiments on the table didn't make much of a difference. However, the owner is friendly, the cost performance is good, and it seems like there are regular customers.
