Hello. It was my first time drinking at New Shinbashi. The menu is very unique. The white fish milt was not too heavy, and the flavor was rich and impressive. The horse sashimi was on par with specialty stores. The buckwheat noodles at the end were a bit disappointing, but overall, it was a good restaurant that focuses on quality.

This is a shop located on the second floor of the New Shinbashi Building. It is situated in a mysterious area where shady shops line up on the second floor, so it is not a place you would casually walk into. The interior of the shop has a snack bar-like atmosphere. To start with, I ordered a White Hoppy Set for 480 yen and a glass of sake for 250 yen. The appetizer was a vinegar dish with seaweed and jellyfish. They offer a variety of dishes, including sashimi and horse meat sashimi, as well as a mix of Japanese and Chinese appetizers. I tried the Homemade Crispy Shrimp Spring Roll for 330 yen (1 piece) and the Morning-Soaked Jumbo Eel Skewer for 380 yen (1 piece). The shrimp spring roll was incredibly delicious. The skin was thinner than a regular spring roll, crispy, and the filling was well-seasoned, making it tasty even without any sauce. The owner is very friendly and has a kind demeanor. Since this place is not well-known, only those who are familiar with it visit, creating a strangely calming atmosphere in the shop.

I visited a bookmarked restaurant called "Matsumine" in a building next to the SL Square in Shinbashi, thinking of my relatives. I was seated at a table where I could watch TV and ordered the early bird special highball for 290 yen until 7:00 PM. I also ordered the homemade potato salad for 480 yen, and a sashimi platter with three types of sashimi for 980 yen. The highball and the tuna mayo appetizer disappeared quickly, and I enjoyed the sashimi platter with tuna, whale, and spear squid. I wished for an extra soy sauce dish, but overall, the sashimi was good. The total bill came to 2400 yen, with the appetizer being a bit pricey at 500 yen.

Located on the second floor of the New Shinbashi Building in the SL Plaza of Shinbashi Station. After taking the escalator up, turn left after passing through the corridor with many massage shops on the right side. It's an unremarkable izakaya with a variety of dishes like Satsuma-age, XO sauce, and horse sashimi platter. The XO sauce is not very spicy and goes well with drinks. It's rare to see XO sauce on an izakaya menu. The horse sashimi platter has about three different cuts and is quite delicious. Transitioning from Nikka Highball to Hoppy. The service from the slightly aloof Chinese-style waitress may be a bit challenging, but overall it's a unique izakaya. It wasn't bad at all.

The New Shinbashi Building exudes a Showa retro atmosphere that is simply irresistible. On Fridays, Shinbashi is bustling with people looking to drink, and the New Shinbashi Building seems to attract those who love this vibe. However, getting a reservation here without prior planning is not as easy as it seems. The restaurant I wanted to visit on the B1 floor was fully booked, so I tried my luck on the 2nd floor. I managed to get a seat in a small, crowded space with a Kyushu-focused menu. The potato salad was average, while the crispy shrimp spring rolls were popular. The sashimi of sardines and whale was refreshing. They offer a variety of sashimi, fried foods, Chinese dishes, so there's something for everyone. The most delicious dish was the "Satsuma-age" - it was plump and truly delicious. This is a must-try dish! The staff, especially the kind waitress, created a relaxing atmosphere, making it a great place to unwind after work.

I love raw fish, so I want to eat sashimi, horse meat sashimi, and sometimes dumplings and spring rolls. Whale is also good, and I want to drink delicious sake and shochu to go with it. Good transportation is important for me because I'm bad with directions. Friendly service at the restaurant is also appreciated. It's a convenient restaurant that can be used for both the first and second rounds. It's located on the second floor of a deep building in Shinbashi, making it a fun place to introduce to friends.

Good morning. It's Takemasa, a resident of Shinbashi during the day for almost a year now. I've got a good grasp of the first floor and basement shops in the symbol of Shinbashi, the New Shinbashi Building, but the world above the second floor is still mostly unknown to me. Today, I tried the new addition to the Shinbashi and Toranomon Lunch Passport vol.8, Shunsai Matsuhou on the second floor of the New Shinbashi Building. This restaurant opened just last September. The designated Lunch Passport menu was a homemade XO sauce clam-packed fried rice, served with a side dish, pickles, and soup for 750 yen, but only 500 yen with the Lunch Passport. It was delicious. This place seems interesting for dinner too, with a diverse menu ranging from fresh sashimi directly from Tsukiji to gyoza and spring rolls. The Matsuhou original canned mackerel and grilled conger eel looked particularly tasty. They also serve Hoppy. Shinbashi really offers a variety of restaurants to discover.

Visited the restaurant before 12:30 on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Participated in the Ramen Pass activity No.157. The izakaya is located on the 2nd floor of the New Shinbashi Building. The restaurant is not very spacious, but it is almost full, mostly with Ramen Pass customers. The staff seemed busy. The Ramen Pass menu offered was homemade XO sauce clam fried rice with plenty of clams (¥750 → ¥500). It was served in about 5 minutes. The fried rice was a bit roughly presented, accompanied by daikon soup, macaroni salad, and pickles. The fried rice did have clams in it and was quite good, although a bit oily. The portion was generous, so it was satisfying as a meal. I would like to visit this place at night as well.
