After Fishosuke, it's just a few steps to Mr. Tsukasa. Enjoying some ladder drinks up close is fun (laughs). I thought it was just a counter-only shop, but there are table seats in the back, surprisingly spacious. I sat at the counter, glanced at the menu, but of course, started with a draft beer for the second stop (☆▽☆). Then we ordered yakitori as we pleased. It's nice to be able to casually drink yakitori during the day. Day drinking with yakitori, it seems common but it's not that easy to find... It's tucked away further back than the other shops on Horoyoi Street, so you can relax without worrying about the flow of people. Thanks to the staff's considerate care, it was a pleasant time. Thank you for the meal m(_ _)m.

On the third day of GW3, I visited the third place, Mr. Tsukasa. I used to visit here often before the pandemic, but it had been a long time since I last came. I usually drink highballs, and they go well with anything. Especially!! The dried fish at Ceseri was amazing... I almost wanted to flip over, but the counter seats had no backrest, so I was on the verge of hitting my head on the concrete. It was amazing! It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

The bird and pork recommended, full of energy and lively atmosphere. The foreign staff are also friendly and well-trained. They have Asahi beer and about fifteen types of shochu. The portion size is generous and delicious. Would definitely want to eat here again. D Works uniform.

The sixth stop on the Fukuoka business trip dining list is a yakitori restaurant in Hakata Station called Hakata Horoyoi Street. I bought some souvenirs and then sat at the counter for a light drink before catching my bullet train. I left it up to what seemed to be the manager and ordered four glasses of draft beer. While sipping on my beer, I waited for the food to arrive. The manager engaged in a pleasant conversation with me. The first two dishes arrived - pork belly and marbled kalbi. The pork belly was delicious, with juicy meat and a perfect balance of grilling and seasoning. The marbled kalbi had a great texture, balancing lean meat and fat perfectly. Next up were gizzards and chicken wings, both seasoned with salt. The gizzards had a great texture and juiciness, while the chicken wings had a crispy skin and tender meat. Lastly, a vegetable wrap dish arrived, featuring tomato, bacon, and other veggies. It was a healthy and guilt-free option, with the sweetness of the tomato standing out when grilled. Even though I just stopped by casually, it turned out to be a great find. Now, I'm heading back to Osaka on the bullet train!

I went to "Yakitori Tsukasa" at Hakata Horoyoi Street in Hakata Station Daimaru for a drink. This is a long-established restaurant with a branch in Hakata Station East. ✔️Yakitori starting from ¥150 ✔️Highball ¥460 ✔️Draft beer ¥630 ✔️Appetizer ¥200 The menu may seem a bit expensive at first glance, but it's tax-inclusive and the appetizer is cheap, making it a great value overall! The skewers are delicious too. This is a recommended spot for a casual drink in Hakata Station.

I arrived at Hakata Station in Fukuoka Prefecture. Yakitori restaurants tend to be open at night, so finding a place that serves lunch is rare. This particular restaurant, located in the Hakata Horoyoi Street in the Hakata Deitos facility, opens at 10 am! I arrived a little after 10 am to try some morning yakitori, but there were already about 4 customers enjoying drinks (laughs).
- Bottle of beer: 500 yen
- Seseri (chicken neck): 190 yen
- Tsukune (chicken meatballs) with sauce: 170 yen
- Nakao karubi (chicken thigh meat): 250 yen
- Chicken skin wrapped in garlic: 180 yen
It's been a while since I've had beer at this hour, but it always tastes delicious no matter when you drink it. The chicken skin wrapped in garlic, tsukune, and nakao karubi were served on plates first. The chicken skin wrapped in garlic, with crispy skin and juicy garlic inside, was cooked to perfection. And it didn't leave any garlic smell afterwards, indicating that good quality garlic was used. The tsukune had a fluffy texture but was slightly bland for my taste, although the sauce was light and good. The nakao karubi was juicy, with sweet and tasty fat. The seseri was handed directly to me once it was ready, and it was crispy and full of flavor. The skewers were all generously sized, with attention to detail like onions in between. The cabbage on the plate was drizzled with ponzu sauce, providing a refreshing palate cleanser. It was my first time having morning yakitori, and I was completely satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I went to a late show at Hakata Station! But before that, I decided to have a drink... lol It seemed like there was a place nearby where I could easily grab a drink, so I headed to the "horoyoi" street! I was in the mood for yakitori, so I decided to try this restaurant. I went to the store on the east side of the station, but I didn't know they had one here too... The restaurant had counter seats and table seats in the back. Since I was only staying for about an hour, I ordered the following items:
- Skewers: Chicken skin with sauce (150 yen), Chicken heart with salt (180 yen), Middle-cut kalbi (250 yen), Chicken liver with sauce (180 yen), Pork belly (180 yen), Chicken skin wrapped in garlic (180 yen), Thick fried tofu (160 yen)
- Grilled rice ball (250 yen)
- Draft beer, medium size (590 yen) x2
Considering the location and price, the skewers were surprisingly substantial in size! The chicken liver with sauce was nicely grilled and had a good balance of flavors. The chicken heart had a crunchy texture and a strong salty taste that paired well with the beer. My favorite skewer was the middle-cut kalbi, it was juicy and flavorful. And of course, the chicken skin wrapped in garlic was a must-try! The crispy chicken skin and garlic flavor were a perfect match. The pork belly had a nice balance of meatiness and fat, and the grilled tofu had a refreshing taste with a hint of sauce flavor. Lastly, the grilled rice ball was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a nice sweet and savory taste. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and size of the skewers at this restaurant. It's a good option for enjoying yakitori at Hakata Station!

The first skewers and lemon sour at the first restaurant of the day were not good, so I quickly left and went to Yakitori Tsukasa on the tipsy street for a change. Compared to Tsukasa's lemon sour, the previous one lacked lemon flavor, and the tsukune tasted like frozen food, while the pork belly was smelly. On the other hand, the tsukune here is delicious, and the pork belly is also tasty. The garlic chicken skin skewer is also amazing. I will definitely come back!

When it comes to the main entrance of Hakata, after ramen, I thought gyoza might be the next best thing, but unfortunately, I couldn't find any notable restaurants around Hakata Station. I didn't feel like going all the way to Tenjin or Nakasu now. Then I remembered there's a place that serves chicken skin, so I decided to check it out. I happened to see an empty seat from outside the restaurant, so I went in to have a drink and pass the time until my flight. "Chicken skin" was introduced as a favorite food of Fukuoka residents on a TV show. I had always been curious about it. I ordered four skewers of chicken skin and one tsukune, and paired it with beer. The salted chicken skin skewers were surprisingly delicious. They were grilled nicely to remove the fat, giving a crispy texture with just the right amount of saltiness. It was indeed a high-quality snack to have with alcohol. When you order skewers, they serve cabbage dressed with ponzu sauce underneath to refresh your palate after indulging in the fatty chicken skin. The restaurant seemed to know what they were doing. I spent about an hour from around 3:30 pm, had two draft beers, and the total bill came to 2,150 yen, including the appetizer. Overall, considering the cost of living in Hakata, I can't help but feel that there are probably more affordable and delicious restaurants if you look for them. However, as a place to pass the time before departure, it's not bad at all. Plus, knowing the prices in Tokyo, it's still quite reasonable.

I often stop by this yakitori restaurant in the Tipsy Alley at Hakata Station on my way home from work or on Sunday nights. I enjoy going back and forth between here and the nearby motsu-yaki restaurant, Japan Saisei Sakaba. I eat and drink quite a bit while enjoying the casual atmosphere. Both the pork and chicken are affordable and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to eat yakitori so I went to Yakitori Tsukasa at the back of Deitos Oku no Horoi. The yakitori ingredients were large and very delicious, and they went well with the lemon sour. We were drinking and walking around, so we left after a while, but next time I want to take my time and try other things as well.

I had a craving for yakitori after a long time, so I went to "Tsukasa" in Hakata Station Daimaru. During this time, there are few places serving alcohol, so it was a bit hard to find one. Finally found one, and the place was crowded with customers. Ah, the long-awaited "draft beer" tastes so good! The yakitori skewers were quite long, and each piece had a good amount of volume. The gizzard in particular was delicious. Maybe next time I'll visit when the state of emergency is over. Thank you for the meal.

At this time of year, it's quite rare to find a place where you can drink alcohol from lunchtime, making this yakitori restaurant quite valuable. I forgot to take a photo of the yakitori, but I tried items like gizzard, pork belly, and chicken white meat... they were all surprisingly large in size. Both the yakitori and side dishes were quite delicious. I can't wait for "manbo" to be over soon. I'll be heading to Hakata Station for day drinking again tomorrow. Tomorrow, I will be hopping between "Tori Kawa Daini" and "Kisuirimaru" at Kitte Hakata.

202201 (Celebratory month) 14:40 ※I had mistakenly mentioned the wrong location, so I am reposting. This is a restaurant located on the Horyo-dori street in Hakata Deitos on the 1st floor of Hakata Station in Hakata. The various shops on Horyo-dori street had noticeable empty seats without much crowding, perhaps due to the impact of the 6th wave? Although this restaurant has many lunch reviews, I visited only during lunch on a holiday.
Bottled beer 500 yen
Shimajin 2,300 yen
Appetizer 200 yen
Chicken skin 150 yen
Pork belly 180 yen
Yagen cartilage 190 yen
Garlic-wrapped chicken skin 180 yen
Chicken skin gyoza 550 yen
Quail bacon 230 yen
Mozzarella cheese bacon roll 230 yen
*All prices include tax
The grilled chicken skewers were all delicious, but especially the pork belly was thickly cut with plenty of flavor and satisfying to eat. The chicken skin gyoza, wrapped in soft and chewy chicken skin, is a recommended dish. The Shimajin in a 5-cup bottle can be kept for 3 months, so I would like to revisit while monitoring the situation of the 6th wave. Thank you for the meal.

Last day of my trip back to Fukuoka. Just need to head to the airport, but the good thing about Fukuoka Airport is that it's only 2 stops away from Hakata Station by subway. Arrived at the station two hours before my flight, so decided to have a drink at a yakitori restaurant on the Horyo Street. The restaurant, which opens at 10 am, was already full by midday. Started with a draft beer and ordered pork belly, chicken skirt, chicken skin with tare sauce, and quail bacon yakitori. Wait, the chicken is only the skin, but that's the style of yakitori in Hakata. Served on a bed of cabbage, another Hakata specialty. Finished two beers quickly and headed to the airport.

The 10th stop on the Hakata food tour was Yakitori Tsukasa located on Horoyoi Street near Hakata Station. Recommended by a friend living in Hakata, this popular spot is bustling with salarymen after work. Despite the hot weather in October, we lined up at this crowded restaurant, visited the PayPay Dome, and waited 20 minutes for the bus back. I couldn't resist enjoying a cold beer at the counter, along with some delicious chicken skin and pork belly skewers. I even tried to replicate everything I learned on YouTube! The taste, atmosphere, and value were all excellent, making me seriously consider moving to Hakata.

Deitos, second stop on the slightly tipsy street. We visited Yakitori Tsukasa and it was quite crowded even on a Sunday. Fukuoka is lively! For our second stop, we ordered a lemon sour and chicken sashimi. The appetizer and lemon sour arrived quickly. The chicken sashimi was generous for the price, although it would have been perfect without the skin and sinewy parts. We ordered an extra lemon sour, finished our meal, and enjoyed a quick drink. With two drinks and one dish, it came to 1,500-2,000 yen. We could have added 1-2 more dishes with that amount. Thank you for the meal.

This is my second visit. The yakitori here is big. It's not charcoal-grilled, but still delicious enough. The pork belly and pig's feet yakitori are all great, and the half-cooked Nira-tama is also good. It's nice to be able to drink from lunchtime at the station and easily take the train back to Kokura. I want to go again.

When wandering around Hakata Station, for some reason I always end up here. Come on, come on, come on~ Tonight, I'll be intruding here again~ Well, that's how it is with yakitori after all. It's all about the right balance of salt and the perfect level of grilling. I prefer a slightly stronger saltiness, and the grilling should be done just right, "Now!" The moment it's grilled to perfection, that plump texture is just perfect. I'm looking for a place like that. Thank you for the meal~

The morning after staying in Hakata, I went to the station with plenty of time before my departure. It was still in the 10 o'clock hour, but I wondered if there were any open shops along the Daimyo Horoyoi Street. To my delight, I found a shop that was open. This was a great find. I decided to have a brunch drink. I visited around 10:30 am on a holiday. There were about 5-6 customers already inside. From the outside, it looked like there were only counter seats in an L-shape, but there were also tatami seating in the back. I sat at the counter and looked at the menu. As the name suggests, yakitori is the main dish here. There were some unique yakitori options that I hadn't seen elsewhere. Here is what I ordered this time:
- Bottle of beer 500 yen
- Liver 160 yen
- White liver 160 yen
- Pork tongue cartilage 150 yen
- Highball 390 yen
- Miso skewer 190 yen
- Chicken skin garlic roll 160 yen
The liver was cut in a unique way. It was a cut that I had never seen before. Pork tongue cartilage was quite unusual. The crunchy texture was quite addictive. The miso skewer was the only one with miso flavor. Having miso in between the salt and sauce added an interesting accent to the taste. The chicken skin garlic roll was exactly what it sounds like. A garlic charge in the morning. It was irresistible. At this restaurant, when the skewers were cooked, the staff brought them to your table on the skewer itself. I had never experienced this system before. However, all the yakitori here were quite big and long. It's better to order a little at a time rather than ordering a lot all at once. I planned to quickly eat and drink for brunch and leave, but I ended up staying longer than I thought because the atmosphere was so nice. There were two female staff members working at the time. Their attentive service was very pleasant. I would like to visit again when using Hakata Station. Thank you for the meal.
