Ramen Ocharanya Yodobashi Camera Store (Links Umeda 8F) [Tsukemen] ¥900 ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆ Genre: Tsukemen Soup: Tonkotsu / Noodles: Medium Straight This restaurant was reopened on November 16th and is a branch of Kumagoro Co., Ltd., so I visited on the same day! This is my second visit since December 2016. Other noodle menu options include Oshiramen (¥780), Special Oshiramen (¥1030), Ten Shio Ramen (¥780), Special Ten Shio Ramen (¥1030), Fish and Tonkotsu Ramen (¥800), Tantanmen (¥930), Roasted Miso Ramen (¥900), Seiryu Ramen (¥750), Special Seiryu Ramen (¥1000), Hakuhaku Ramen (¥750), Special Hakuhaku Ramen (¥1000), Tsukemen (Large ¥1000 / Special ¥1050), Miso Butter Corn (¥930), Taiwan Ramen (¥900), Kaedama (+¥150). The noodles for the tsukemen are the same house-made noodles used by Kumagoro Co., Ltd., and I liked them before, so this time I decided to try the tsukemen. The noodles are medium straight, house-made noodles. They have a smooth texture, good throat feel, strong elasticity, and a rich flavor with a delicious taste! The dipping sauce is soy sauce-based with a tonkotsu base. It has a rich mouthfeel, almost no oil on the surface, well-emulsified, and a thick body with medium to high viscosity. It is roughly filtered, so there is a noticeable roughness in the mouthfeel. It has a wild tonkotsu smell that stimulates the appetite, but the umami does not accompany the strong aroma. The salt concentration is slightly low, so the flavor lacks sharpness and definition. When you sprinkle garlic powder from the table, the flavor becomes clear and delicious with the garlic aroma and a hint of saltiness. However, be careful not to put too much. The chashu... Wait, I can't find it in the dipping sauce with my chopsticks. After informing the staff that it was missing, they brought it separately. It includes 3 slices of pork thigh and 3 pieces of pork shoulder. The sliced pork has a moderately firm and soft texture with a slightly light seasoning, and a light meat umami is felt. The block of pork shoulder has a strong and chewy texture when bitten into. It is medium seasoned, and the juicy meat umami is well felt and delicious! The seasoned egg comes with one half-boiled egg, with a medium seasoning. The rich taste of the reddish yolk is slightly strong and delicious. Other toppings include green onions and komatsuna. Additionally, there is free kimchi and menma at the service corner. The restaurant has a total of 56 seats with counter and table seating. It is located on the 8th floor of the restaurant floor of the commercial facility "Links Umeda" that opened at Yodobashi Camera Umeda Store on the same day. I was expecting some major changes due to the reopening, but I didn't notice any significant changes. What particularly bothered me this time was the loud private conversations of the staff. It was quite annoying and unpleasant to hear, especially since I was sitting at a table where it was clearly audible. Also, when I pointed out that the chashu was missing, the response was somewhat indifferent, with a half-hearted smile. As a major chain in the industry, they should not take such a nonchalant attitude. There are also plans for other stores to be renovated in this facility, so I hope they will not just be in name only like this one.
