This time, I went to a famous restaurant nearby that I had been recommended by a business partner for a while! The location is straight west from Takayasu Station, turn left at the corner before the sushi restaurant, then go straight again... turn right at the dead end, then go straight again... pass by the mailbox and keep going straight... I walked quite a distance and finally found a shop with white lanterns hanging outside. The exterior looks exactly like a red lantern... except that they are white lanterns (laughs). When I entered, I was greeted energetically from behind the counter, "Welcome!" As usual, I started with a glass of draft beer. Not knowing what to order, I decided to go for the "Chef's Choice Set for \1,500-" for grilled dishes, and first ordered the sasami, the first item on the menu. It was fresh, sweet, and delicious. Surprised by the deliciousness of the sasami, I moved on to the grilled dishes - thigh meat, green onion with meat, and chicken skin. The taste was... different. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. It tasted different as it passed through my throat compared to the initial taste on my tongue. This unique taste was addictive. Before I knew it, I had already emptied 5-6 glasses of drinks, including beer, shochu highball, and a rare sake. It feels a bit far from the station, but I definitely want to come back on a day off and enjoy it leisurely.
