Fish restaurants that are generally delicious are not usually found right in front of the station or in the bustling downtown area. This particular restaurant is about a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station, nestled in a new cityscape with a beautiful storefront. On this day, I ordered the "Today's simmered fish set meal," which featured simmered filefish. The tender white meat was delightful. I particularly enjoy saving the cheek meat for last. It was light and mild in flavor. The tofu, eggplant, and burdock root side dishes were also delicious, with flavors that seeped in well. For those who are not fond of small bones, I recommend trying the seafood rice bowl.

This shop is located near Hakata Station in Fukuoka. It's a bit hard to find as it's on the second floor of a hotel building, about a 7-minute walk from the station. Just like the main branch in Tenjin, this place gets very crowded during lunchtime, so be prepared to wait in line. They boast delicious fish dishes and familiar set meals that will energize you. The fish dishes here are top-notch, with the menu being updated daily based on fresh ingredients. It can be tough to decide what to order as you look at the fish from different regions. On this day, I ordered the salt-grilled kinmedai. While you can also have it as sashimi or simmered, I wanted to enjoy grilled fish, which I hadn't had in a while. It takes some time for the food to be cooked after ordering, but the freshly grilled kinmedai was truly amazing. It was juicy and flavorful, with every part of the fish being tender. You can have seconds of rice, and they also offer a special topping for it, though the main fish dish is satisfying enough for two servings. Whether you're traveling or just looking for a nice meal, this place is a great choice.

It is located about a 5-minute walk from Hakata Station. There are new restaurants like Ikurasan for omurice and Uotasan nearby. I have visited the main store before, but this location seems more convenient. When I arrived around 12 o'clock, there were 5 groups waiting in line. After about 10 minutes, we were seated. This time, I ordered the daily simmered dish set. I forgot to ask about the type of fish, but I think it was similar to mackerel. They also have plum furikake, which goes well with rice. You can get free refills of rice. The fish had bones in it, but since it was simmered, it was easy to eat without worrying too much about them. The simmered dish with grated daikon flavor was good value for under 1000 yen.

When I go to Fukuoka, I always crave fish. When that happens, I go here! However, lately they have been closed at night or have many days off, so even when I go, it's often full. I was disappointed after visiting the day before and finding it closed, so I decided to visit again the next day. This time, I made sure they were open and went early after they opened at night. I ordered the usual silver cod in sweet mirin sauce and dashimaki tamago. This combination is the same as the one at Seifuku in Tenjin Core, and the dashimaki tamago is still incredibly delicious.

Located on the second floor of a hotel near Hakata Ward Office and Hakata Canal City. The tenants in this hotel are all lined up well. Among them, this is a shop that focuses on fish. I ordered today's fish simmered set meal for 980 yen including tax. Rice refill service is available. On this day, it was simmered Saury and small Saury with grated radish. It has a rich flavor but not too strong. The rice is also delicious. The portion and number of side dishes are small, so I think rice refill is a must for men.

The menu was full of delicious options, making it hard to choose. I visited the restaurant around 7:30 PM. There was no wait, so I went straight to the counter. I ordered the sesame seed grilled yellowtail set meal. The thickly sliced yellowtail had no fishy smell, and it went well with the sesame soy sauce, making the rice very enjoyable! The side dishes were also nice. The homemade furikake was consistently delicious. The miso soup with plenty of ingredients warmed me up. Thank you for the meal!

On the way from Hakata Station to Nakasu, there is a slightly upscale hotel called The Bressam Hakata Premier on the 2nd floor, where there is a popular Japanese restaurant. I was taken there by my business partners because it is known for its delicious food. The restaurant is called Umeyama Teppei Shokudo Hakata Store. When we arrived at 11:30, the restaurant was already 80% full, and by the time we left, there was quite a wait due to its popularity. They have a lot of fish-based set meals, but the fried chicken is also popular. I chose the sesame mackerel set meal. The set meal came with a side dish (that day it was stir-fried lotus root) and a delicious homemade furikake. I had heard of sesame mackerel before, but this was my first time trying it. It has a taste that goes well with white rice. The homemade furikake was incredibly delicious. The crunchy texture of the finely chopped dried plum, along with the flavors of dried small fish and seaweed, was amazing. I also ordered mentaiko separately, but with this furikake, I could easily finish a bowl of rice. The cafe-like interior of the restaurant seems relaxing, but it was quite crowded, so we ate quickly and left.

The menu is so extensive that I had a hard time deciding. I ordered today's grilled fish set meal (¥880)! The fish was delicious, and the plum and dried baby sardine topping on the rice was amazing! I couldn't stop eating (rice refills are free). There were outlets at the counter, which was convenient. It's a very popular place, so there were already a few people lining up even before opening, so I recommend coming early!

I had the mackerel miso soup for 980 yen. There were so many menu options that I couldn't decide, so I went with the value set meal. It's a typical fish set meal place with nothing particularly special. It's popular because of the atmosphere and reasonable prices. The sweet miso soup with a hint of yuzu was really delicious.

I used it for lunch on the weekend. I quickly looked at the map and visited the place, so I was surprised to see a line at the store, thinking it was "Uo-den." However, when I checked properly, I was relieved to find out it was on the second floor of the next building. The atmosphere inside the store is lively and bright. If I had to say, I wish there was a little more space between the tables. There are many set meals on the menu, so it's fulfilling. Today's fish simmered dish was miso simmered mackerel, so I ordered it without hesitation. The store's special furikake and rice refill somehow reminded me of "Aji no Shotoku." The mackerel was juicy, and it went well with the rich miso, making it delicious. According to my companion, it's a taste that makes you want to drink sake. The miso soup has a hint of yuzu peel, adding an accent to the aroma. For only 980 yen, the cost performance is good, and I am satisfied. When I checked if there is also an "Umenoma" in Hakata, it seems that it is only on Watanabe Street.

I used the second store of the restaurant on Watanabe Street for lunch! The menu had so many options that I was really indecisive (^.^;) I chose the Hirame sashimi set meal! I sat at a sunny counter seat, although there is a shadow from the blinds... The sashimi was fresh and delicious, and the famous furikake was so tasty that I almost ate too much rice~ I would like to try other menu items if I have the chance again~

Recently, I've been eating a lot of meat, but I actually prefer fish. So, I decided to visit Umeyama Teppei Shokudo, a popular seafood restaurant in Fukuoka. It was my first time there and I was surprised to see a long line outside. Luckily, I managed to grab a seat at the counter. The menu had so many options, making it hard to choose. I ended up ordering the Sesame Amberjack Set and the Seared Sawara Set. Both were absolutely delicious, especially the rich sesame sauce on the amberjack. I also loved their original furikake, which was perfect with rice or even on its own. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience at Umeyama Teppei Shokudo. I will definitely be back for more.

I visited the main store last night on September 12, 2022 (Monday), but since there is also a Hakata store and it was uncertain when I could come to Fukuoka next, I decided to come \( ˆoˆ)/. I had the Salmon Toro Set meal, while my friend had the Salmon Collar Set meal. Since fish alone doesn't fill up my stomach, I also added Chicken Nanban (small). My friend also seemed satisfied. All's well that ends well.

I visited after a long time and as always, the place was bustling. They open at 11:30, but it fills up quickly. Today's special was silver cod simmered in sweet soy sauce, a big piece of cod that got everyone excited. The tender flesh was full of flavor and went perfectly with rice. The side dishes were also delicious. And their famous furikake (rice seasoning)? It's a mix of various tasty ingredients that can make a meal on its own. Thank you for the meal. On April 23, 2022, I tried the Tsushima Kinmedai salt-grilled set meal (1,870 yen). The rice was delicious, whether it was the quality of the rice or the way it was cooked. The furikake was average. The miso soup was the most delicious part of the set meal. The side dish had a mild seasoning, which was good. The fish was well cooked, moist, and tasty. However, I felt that Kinmedai from the Kanto region (Chiba, Kanagawa) might be tastier. I have visited various regions during my travels, but I didn't feel a sense of value for money at this restaurant. For a lunch costing just under 2,000 yen, it lacked impact. Also, the level of customer service was not particularly high. They may use good quality fish, pay attention to freshness, cooking techniques, rice, and soup, but it doesn't stand out compared to lunch options in Ginza or Nihonbashi.

I asked a colleague who had been transferred from Kansai if there was anything they wanted to eat for lunch, and they replied, "Maybe seafood." So I decided to take them to "Umeyama Teppei Shokudo Hakata Store" for a seafood lunch. It's located about a 5-minute walk from Hakata Station towards Canal City Hakata, on the 2nd floor of JR Hotels The Blossom Hakata Premier dining area. The main store is a popular teishoku restaurant on Watanabe Street. The restaurant is popular with female customers and is a well-known lunch spot, so we were prepared to wait, but luckily we managed to get seats at the counter just in time. The interior is made of wood materials, creating a calm and sophisticated atmosphere compared to the main store. After a quick look at the menu, we decided to go with the daily grilled fish, which turned out to be mackerel. We both ended up ordering the "Grilled Mackerel Teishoku" for 825 yen each. After a short wait, our grilled mackerel teishoku arrived! They also provided the signature furikake seasoning on the side. The main grilled mackerel came with grated daikon radish, green onions, and lemon, and the skin was nicely grilled. The side dishes included hijiki seaweed salad, tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelette), miso soup, and rice. The grilled mackerel was just as we expected, with a nice balance of saltiness that paired well with the rice. It was easy to eat as there were hardly any bones. The rice was topped with the famous "furikake with plum, dried baby sardines, and seaweed," which I love. I used it sparingly today as I didn't get a rice refill. The tamagoyaki and hijiki salad were both delicately flavored and complemented the meal well. It was a classic menu item, but we were completely satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch in mid-September! This is the second store of a teishoku restaurant with the main store located on Watanabe Street. I have been to the main store several times, but this is my first visit here. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a brand new hotel. On the same floor, there are famous motsunabe and Starbucks, as well as other famous Fukuoka and nationwide stores. Canal City Hakata is also nearby, so it seems to target tourists and foreigners. You go up to the floor from the outside by escalator. The building itself is new. It has a clean and stylish atmosphere. When you enter the restaurant, it has a completely different atmosphere from the main store. The main store has a retro feel, but this one has a stylish bar or cafe-like atmosphere. Since we visited outside of the lunch peak time, the restaurant was calm. There are both table seats and counter seats. I ordered the clam soup teishoku with natto. The clam soup teishoku comes with a dashimaki tamago. I had drunk quite a bit of alcohol the day before, so I decided to eat something gentle, but it was quite filling! I think the cost performance is very good. The clam soup has a rich umami flavor. The dashimaki tamago is fluffy and goes well with the rice. Personally, I'm not a fan of sweet eggs, but I was happy that this one wasn't too sweet. The food is very delicious, but the service was just average, leaving me with the impression that I just had a meal. I wish the staff were a bit more friendly! The food is definitely worth it! I visited the restaurant alone around 11:40 on a regular day. The place was already getting crowded, and the seats at the counter with a view outside were full, so I was seated at a high counter with uncomfortable round chairs facing the kitchen. The menu (set meals) was packed on both sides of an A4 paper. After some consideration, I ordered the today's grilled fish set meal for 825 yen (tax included) which was the first item on the menu. The fish of the day was said to be kamasu. After about 10 minutes, the grilled fish set meal was brought to me. In addition to the main grilled kamasu, the tray also had white rice (with free refills), miso soup, a small side dish, rolled egg with dashi, soy sauce, and furikake in bottles. It looked like a healthy meal. I started eating right away. The kamasu was grilled with light salt seasoning. The other side dishes were also low in salt and very delicious. My favorite was the furikake with crunchy umeboshi, kombu, and small fish toppings in a bottle. By noon, the restaurant was almost full, and there were customers waiting.
