◆I ended up buying cute dagashi that I couldn't resist because they looked so good, like a dish on their own! The colorful dagashi are cute, but the packaging featuring sheep as the main motif is also adorable. Among the souvenirs I couldn't help but buy, the only one I got for myself was "Nisho" mochi confectionery. "Nisho" comes in a set of two, with white and brown mochi. The sheep on the package, smiling side by side, are lovely. The white mochi is a traditional red bean paste on a two-layered mochi, while the brown mochi is a blend of almond powder and yam powder with a twist of white bean paste on the skin. The traditional one tasted as expected, and the twist had a rustic feel in the skin with a gentle sweetness from the powdered white bean paste. They had contrasting personalities, but both were delicious mochi confections. ◆Menu for this time: Nisho Kinpeito, Case of assorted jellies (lunch) 2191 yen/person. ◆How to enjoy this store: <Profile> A high-quality dagashi shop with a concept of traditional Japanese sweets mixed with dagashi. <Order> The Nisho purchased this time cost 437 yen, the Case of Kinpeito cost 454 yen, and the assorted jellies cost 1300 yen. ◆Source of information: 'OZ magazine TRIP' Summer 2023 issue "Now, shall we have some snacks?" Bon appétit!

A cute shop with fluffy cotton candy resembling sheep's wool. The assortment of Japanese sweets lined up are all cute and make choosing exciting. Soft serve ice cream is also available, and there is an eat-in space outside the shop that looks like a bus stop. The cute cans for assortments are recommended as well!

It's a small shop with a small sign that you might easily pass by. The shop is called Hitsujiya. Inside the cozy shop, there are lots of cute Japanese sweets that make you feel excited. It's fun to choose from the selection! It's a sister store to "Kinosena" in Umihachiman, but it's much more casual. They also have cotton candy and snacks like dagashi. The boxes they use for packing the sweets are cute too.

My usual routine on weekend afternoons is to enjoy pastries and tea in the 16th district, but after seeing some reviews of traditional Japanese sweets from Mairebi-sama, I decided to try some Japanese sweets for a change. Within walking distance from my home, there is a shop called "Hitsujiya". On weekends, there is always a long line outside the shop (mostly young people), so I usually avoid it. However, on this rainy day, there was no one waiting outside, so I decided to go in. The shop had a neat and clean interior, with a variety of traditional Japanese sweets like dorayaki, kashiwa mochi, and shio daifuku, as well as colorful jelly sweets and cute individually wrapped candies. The stylish appearance of the shop and the cute sweets made me understand why young people line up at Japanese sweet shops. I bought dorayaki, kashiwa mochi, shio daifuku, and kinpira sugar and enjoyed them at home. They were all delicious, but I particularly liked the red bean paste in the dorayaki. While I still enjoy pastries and tea in the 16th district, I think it's nice to have Japanese sweets and green tea once in a while. I will definitely visit the lovely Japanese sweet shop "Hitsujiya" in Ohashi again! P.S. This shop seems to be a sister shop of "Tokinose", a Japanese sweet shop located inside Umi Hachimangu Shrine in Umi, Kasuya District. I would like to visit "Tokinose" as well when I go to pay my respects at Umi Hachimangu Shrine.

Located along Route 385 heading towards the Nakagawa direction from Ohashi Station is a charming sheep-themed candy shop called "Oikashi Hitsujiya". Although I have received their sweets as souvenirs before, this was my first time visiting the shop. I had always been curious as I passed by, but couldn't find the parking lot... it turned out to be located behind the shop. Upon entering, I was greeted by a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of an old-fashioned candy store, filled with delightful jelly candies shaped like fruits and fluffy cotton candy resembling sheep. The candy is sold by weight, allowing customers to choose their favorite treats in their desired quantity. It felt like being a kid again, asking for things like "5 beans and one stick of rice cracker, please". Additionally, when purchasing soft serve ice cream, you can choose two types of these candies as toppings. I enjoyed my ice cream in the outdoor seating area in front of the shop, savoring the treats and relaxing. While the soft serve was indeed delicious, eating the candies first could overshadow its flavor with sweetness.

I finally visited a shop that I had been curious about. They sold items by weight and also individually priced items. The half-cooked jelly candies were priced at 95 yen each, which the children seemed to like but some didn't. I bought some Suzu Castella and Boros by weight, and they had a simple and delicious taste. The Boros were larger than store-bought ones and had a nice homemade feel with a slightly burnt taste. The Konpeito candy had a subtle apple flavor and was delicious! (I only tried one piece so I don't know how the other flavors taste). Thank you for the meal!

This is a cute Japanese sweets shop located along National Route 385. I stopped by here after bringing a change of clothes to my father who is hospitalized. The shop offers a variety of traditional Japanese sweets as well as stylish, modern options. I decided to take out four different sweets: a dorayaki for 194 yen, a salted bean daifuku for 194 yen, a kintsuba for 170 yen, and a senbei rice cracker for 170 yen. The sweets were all small in size and well-balanced in flavor. The shop is located along National Route 385. Fukuoka: Located in Ohashi, Minami-ku, there is a shop called "Hitsujiya". I went there thinking they might use sheep's milk because of the name and sheep drawing. They sell cute sweets, but it turns out their specialty is not soft serve ice cream. The name comes from the old tradition of having snacks in the afternoon, not from using sheep's milk. The soft serve ice cream, in a cute shape, was just normal.

I bought it a few times but didn't write a review. The price is a bit high, but it's delicious. The photo is of the blueberry daifuku I bought before. When I want to buy something as a souvenir, I think it's not suitable for anything other than cheap sweets with a short shelf life. Consider various factors.

A cute shop that sells adorable traditional Japanese sweets and nostalgic snacks. Located in Umi Town, this shop offers a new take on seasonal treats, including authentic Japanese sweets. The shop's symbol is a popular sheep-themed soft serve ice cream. For more details, check out the blog post at https://namiweb0703.com/hitujiya/

I was attracted by the stylish exterior and cute sheep illustrations of the shop, so I decided to go inside! Inside, there were nostalgic dagashi (cheap candies) and beautifully displayed traditional Japanese sweets such as yokan, kinako dango, and dorayaki. The Japanese sweets were stylish and the packaging was colorful and cute, making them perfect for gifts. I purchased the following: Mont Blanc Daifuku for 278 yen, and Salted Soybean Daifuku for 194 yen. The daifuku was very soft and stretchy. The Mont Blanc Daifuku had a coffee-flavored red bean paste inside with Mont Blanc paste on top, topped with candied chestnuts. I was surprised by the slightly bitter coffee flavor of the red bean paste! The Salted Soybean Daifuku had a sweet and salty red bean paste inside. The red beans were tender and the balance with the mochi was great. The shop also offers soft serve ice cream and cotton candy, which adds to the fun. The Japanese sweets have cute packaging and are reasonably priced, making them a great choice for gifts.
