I'm staying in Kitami for a business trip on April 27, 2023. It's a monthly routine for me, haha. I always stay at Dormy Inn Kitami and they always take good care of me. This time, I enjoyed the hot spring and breakfast. The ice cream after the bath and the morning pickles are great, but the highlight is the late-night soba noodles from 9:30 to 11:00. If you drink too much and it gets late, you can't have it, haha. The bamboo shoot rice for breakfast this time was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

First business trip to Kitami. DORMY INN is reliable nationwide with stable baths, saunas, and rooms, and I find it very convenient as a regular stay. This time, I stayed for 2 nights and opted for the breakfast (1800 yen) for one night only. The local dish at the hotel is "Gyudon" made with Hokkaido beef. It seems to be from Kitami. There are also scallop rice and clam miso soup, but nothing particularly stands out. The Amikomachi and soft boiled eggs are still good. However, breakfast prices seem to be on the rise everywhere. (Same hotel: 1800 yen. Places with seafood bowls range from 2200 yen to 2500 yen) They are making an effort to showcase local dishes (Gyudon at the same hotel) and "Taste Meguri Kobachi Yokocho," but honestly, considering the taste level, I feel the cost performance is not great. But in the end, I consider the overall package with accommodation, so I end up adding breakfast for convenience and to save time in the morning. It's better than paying over 2000 yen for not very tasty seafood. Overall, I was satisfied with the reliable DORMY INN. The hot spring [Toko River Hot Spring] was good.

It's breakfast time at the buffet on a trip. The specialty here is gyudon. I feel like I'm in Hokkaido with the katsugen in the drink corner. There was fugu skin ponzu in the spinach corner. I don't know why, but it's my favorite so it's good. The natto is incredibly small.

I stayed at Dormy Inn Kitami and had breakfast there! It's located about a 4-5 minute walk from Kitami Station, and the breakfast venue is on the 2nd floor dining room. It's a buffet style, and the recommended menu item is the gyudon (beef bowl)! I think the beef and onions are famous. Other winter menu items include scallop rice, crab cream croquette, and miso soup with baby clams! They are all typical dishes of the northern land, and the miso soup with baby clams had clams popping out from the surface, which was fun to see. There were also omelettes, so I was able to have a satisfying breakfast! The hotel not only has a great location, but also has a large public bath, good facilities, and service. I would like to visit again!

I finished off today with a late-night ramen at Dormy Inn Kitami. From 9:30 pm to 11 pm, guests can enjoy a free shoyu-based ramen. Even though I ate a lot and my stomach is full, I couldn't resist this amount of food. The light soup was just right after drinking it.

I stayed at the DORMY INN Kitami hotel for two nights from February 27th to March 1st. The service seemed to have improved this time. They offered me a choice of beer or lemon sour as a welcome drink. I'm not sure if they always did that before. If you stay multiple nights, you can opt out of room cleaning and they give you cup noodles. After taking a bath, you can have ice cream, and from 9:30 PM to 11:00 PM, you can eat ramen. In the morning, they provide a service similar to Yakult. The service is amazing, right? The hotel has a hot spring, delicious breakfast, and is overall a great hotel.

This is a review of a stay in Kitami. It's my 5th review, so I'll keep it simple. Had a few drinks, enjoyed some yakiniku, and relaxed in the hot springs. After soaking in the hot springs, indulged in all-you-can-eat ice candy, and in the early morning, enjoyed all-you-can-drink milk pudding! Before bed, had the usual night soba. It doesn't have a special feeling, but whenever I stay here, I just have to eat it. In the morning, the menu is nothing special, although it can be cheaper than other Dormy Inns. I tried to keep it healthy! The asparagus was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

This is a review of my stay in Kitami. I enjoyed yakiniku, ramen, okonomiyaki, and finished off with a meal at my accommodation. This time I stayed for two nights, so I tried a different pattern. When staying at a Dormy Inn, you have to try their complimentary night soba. The noodles may not be the best, but I really like the soup. And after a bath, they offer free ice candy and Pocky. I can't resist freebies like these. For breakfast, each Dormy Inn offers local specialties, but Kitami's didn't have anything too standout. I enjoyed the bamboo shoot rice, tonkatsu, and strawberries in yogurt. Everything was decently tasty. Thank you for the meal.

The other day, I stayed at the business hotel "Natural Hot Spring Tokorogawa no Yu Dormy Inn Kitami" during my business trip to Kitami. Across all Dormy Inns nationwide, they offer a service called "Yonaki Soba" for guests from 9:30 pm to 11:00 pm. When you hear "Yonaki Soba," you might think of the sound of a barrel organ in the middle of the night and an old man selling ramen at a food stall (or maybe the packaging of instant ramen "Myojo Charumera"). After having dinner and checking in, I took a rest in my room and then relaxed in the hot spring. Ah, it feels so good. After coming out of the hot spring feeling a bit peckish, I decided to try the "Yonaki Soba." I received a numbered ticket at the kitchen and waited for about 3 minutes. A small bowl of "Yonaki Soba" was served. It was a soy sauce ramen. Let's dig in. The soup was lightly flavored with soy sauce, the noodles were curly and soft, and the toppings were bamboo shoots, seaweed, and green onions, very simple. As a late-night snack before bed, it was easy on the stomach and just the right portion. The flavor of the seaweed infused into the soup was quite delicious. I finished it in no time. What great hospitality in this "Omotenashi Ramen." I've had "Yonaki Soba" at various Dormy Inns across Hokkaido, but the one in Kitami was especially tasty. Maybe it's the hospitality of the person preparing it? They might not even be aware of it, but the cook's feelings can naturally show in the taste. That's what makes ramen interesting. Now, I've soaked in the hot spring, satisfied my hunger, and it's time to sleep peacefully. Tomorrow will be another busy day. Let's do our best. Thank you for the meal. *108th bowl in 2020 (visited on September 24, 2020)

I'm starting to get a little tired of the breakfast here. It's better compared to other hotels, but I'm getting a bit bored. They have changed the breakfast from buffet style. You can choose between a Western or Japanese plate at the beginning, and then pick whatever else you like. They serve the rice and miso soup for you. The small dishes are individually wrapped. The main local specialty dish was escargot? Isn't that a local specialty in Nemuro? It was disappointing with the fried food and butter rice. It would have been better with white rice. Overall, it was a delicious breakfast but slightly lacking. However, I still think Dormy Inn is a good hotel. It's not just the breakfast, but I am always satisfied with the overall experience at Dormy Inn.

The stay on March 31, 2020 is quite restrictive. Private activities are limited, and there is a need to consider refraining from work and sales activities. The breakfast at the Dormy Inn is usually a buffet, but this time it was served in individual trays. The hotel is really struggling. As a fan of Japanese cuisine, I found the individual trays with 6 small dishes and a variety of choices to be much better than the buffet style. The rice and miso soup are served by the staff, following a style where guests do not touch the tongs or ladles. Thank you for the meal.

I have been to the eastern part of Hokkaido many times, but this is my first time staying in Kitami City. I chose to stay at "Dormy Inn Kitami" for its natural hot spring and breakfast. I enjoyed a morning bath at "Toko River Hot Spring", which is an alkaline simple hot spring with indoor and semi-open-air baths. The temperature dropped to -7°C the night before, so it was very comforting to warm up my body and soul. For breakfast, they offered a standard Japanese-Western buffet typical of Dormy Inn. There were no luxurious seafood dishes like those at "Ono" in Toyama, but I was curious about the "Kitami-style Escalope" dish. It is a dish that originated in Nemuro, consisting of tonkatsu placed on rice and topped with demi-glace sauce, here served with pilaf. It was a heavy combination for breakfast, but quite delicious. Overall, Dormy Inn in Kitami is a satisfying hotel for its price.

I stayed at a hotel in Hokkaido. The breakfast was a buffet. There isn't much difference between Dohmi Inn on Thursdays. The only difference is that there may be seafood. It's like a typical business hotel breakfast, neither good nor bad. It's consistent, so I will continue to use it.

I went to Yodobashi Hormone for a quick bite and drink, then I drank a lot at an izakaya with all-you-can-drink, and ended up feeling tipsy when I returned to my hotel~! (Due to various reasons, I will refrain from writing a review of the izakaya.) I usually only drink alcohol moderately at home, but when I have all-you-can-drink at a restaurant, I tend to drink too much. What made me happy was the "night soba" provided for free at this hotel. This service seems to be offered at Dormy Inn hotels nationwide, so many people may be familiar with it. When I say "soba", I mean Chinese-style noodles, not Japanese buckwheat noodles. At my age, I thought I couldn't handle eating ramen as a late-night meal, but the gentle flavor of the chicken broth-based Chinese noodles was surprisingly delicious!! It was just a plain bowl of ramen (although having nori seaweed on top might be unusual?), but it had a taste that warmed my entire body. The next day, my stomach felt a bit heavy, but I didn't suffer from any pain, and I felt relieved thinking, "It's surprisingly okay." It might depend on the type of ramen though (;^_^A At check-in, the hotel staff at the front desk was diligently attending to customers coming in one after another to eat, which left a good impression on me. It's a good hotel where you can enjoy simple yet delicious Chinese noodles for free (Wait, could it be included in the accommodation fee? lol). Thank you for the meal!! ♬

My favorite hotel in Kitami City. I used to enjoy the seafood bowl for breakfast, but it has now changed and disappeared. This time, the complimentary dinner was a hamburger steak set. It was limited to 30 servings, and by the scheduled time of 6 o'clock, about ten people had already arrived. It seems like they reached the limit quickly. Since it's free, I can't complain, right? It was delicious as usual. After that, I took a bath in the hot spring and went to bed. Now, the long-awaited breakfast time has arrived. The breakfast menu posted in the elevator says Genghis Khan, but there was no seafood (´Д`) sigh... The main dish was pork Genghis Khan. Oden was still available as usual. The rest was typical breakfast items. The selling point seemed to be the omelet station. Personally, it felt like a downgrade. The excitement of staying here has slightly diminished! I hope the seafood bowl comes back soon.

Rating and amount spent are for breakfast buffet only. Stayed at Dormy Inn. The highlight of this chain is the hot springs. I usually don't feel like using the hotel baths and just take a shower, but if there's a hot spring bath, I always use it and often go 2-3 times. The stay was very good. I had quite a bit to drink last night and missed out on late-night soba, so I'm hungry for breakfast. I was looking forward to the buffet breakfast at a Hokkaido hotel, but when I entered the venue, there wasn't much that caught my eye. The main dish was a cheese omelet made with Raclette cheese from Hanabatake Farm, served in a live kitchen style where you can order freshly made dishes. The taste was okay. I'll eat lightly here and save room for lunch. Thank you for the meal.

I found an old review. Due to the coronavirus, I have been eating out less. I have stayed at Dormy Inn from Wakkanai to Asahikawa, and I could tell from the photos that I also visited Kitami (lol). The night creaking soba has turned into cup ramen, and Matsuko Deluxe highly praised it? By the way, is it true that you can get it if you go to the front desk at night? I'm always curious, but I never go at night because I eat a lot and just fall asleep. It was the usual delicious soy sauce ramen. Thank you for the meal!!

I had a meeting in Kitami and was debating whether to stay overnight, but I found a super cheap room at my favorite Dormy Inn. It's unbelievably cheap. I usually stay at a different hotel because Dormy has gotten quite expensive lately, but I wonder what happened today? Maybe there was a big cancellation? The evening meeting starts at 8:00, which is really late for me. I arrived in Kitami earlier than expected. The group wasn't really my type, so I can't pre-drink. They offer a free dinner service for the first 30 guests from 6:00 to 8:00. That's nice, even though I won't eat before drinking. It's great for conversation material though. They have a different menu every day. Today's special is "Okonomi Bakudan Don Set Meal." It's amazing, Bakudan! It's not something an old guy who doesn't eat set meals normally would go for. But it's a set meal in a bowl, and Bakudan on top of that. It's really something. I'm grateful for the cheap accommodation, the complimentary dinner, and the cup noodles they gave me at the end. It's the usual "night-crying soba" for me when I get back, and I even got cup noodles on top of that. "Thank you for the noodles."

Dormy Inn is a great hotel, I stayed there after a long time and it still remains a good choice. The photo is of the free night soba noodles they offer. I enjoyed them after coming back from drinking. Unfortunately, I had to leave early in the morning so I didn't opt for breakfast. I will definitely use this hotel again!
