Yes, it's ramen time~ Ramen Top 100 Shop Tour ~ "Ramen Shin" "White Shoyu Ramen 900 yen" "Soft-boiled Flavored Egg 100 yen" On this day, I visited another ramen shop as part of my Ramen Top 100 Shop Tour. This time, I visited "Ramen Shin" located in front of JR Ibaraki Station. I thought it was pronounced "Makoto" but it's actually "Shin" (laughs). Even though I arrived before 2 pm, there were already more than 10 people in line! It's quite popular! I waited for about 30 minutes before entering. I ordered the "White Shoyu Ramen" with a topping of "Soft-boiled Flavored Egg". After a short wait, the ramen arrived. [Visual] The golden soup with a shiny sheen and beautiful presentation. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was going to be delicious! [Soup] I took a sip of the soup... so delicious! The gentle seafood flavor envelops the soup, creating a delightful taste that spreads slowly. The delicate soup with the accent of large basil leaves is just perfect and incredibly delicious! [Noodles] The homemade medium-thick flat noodles were smooth and chewy, providing a satisfying texture. You can also choose thin noodles, but the recommended thick noodles were the right choice! I've never tried thin noodles before (laughs). [Toppings] The tender and flavorful pork chashu was outstanding! It was so delicious that I finished every last bit. It was truly satisfying! I regret not coming here sooner. Thanks to the Ramen Top 100 list, I discovered this gem. Thank you, Tabelog (laughs). When I arrived at the store at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, there was only one person waiting in line. (There were more than 5 people lined up 15 minutes earlier.) While waiting in line, I was asked for my order, and then paid near the register after eating. I was able to buy a paper apron for 10 yen. The white soy sauce ramen was light yet packed with the umami flavor of soy sauce, and it was delicious.

First visit. I decided to try the most popular menu item, which was the white soy sauce ramen. The thick noodles coated in soup had a beautiful shine, and the aroma of shiso spread as soon as I took a bite. The melt-in-your-mouth chashu was delicious. I also ordered the chashu rice bowl set, and the chashu in it was so tasty and fragrant that I could imagine eating it in a ramen bowl size. I'd like to try the salt ramen next time.

I arrived before 12 o'clock and there were only 3 people waiting in line, but the line started to grow... it was getting dangerous. While waiting in line, the hostess came to take our order. This time, I wanted to try the curry ramen that I had been curious about. After about 10 minutes, we were seated at a table inside the restaurant. After sitting down, the curry ramen arrived in about another 10 minutes. It looked delicious with a hint of chili oil on top. I took a sip of the soup... it had a rich flavor and was milder than I expected for a curry! However, the spice started to kick in nicely afterwards. The curry aroma was also very good! Personally, I would have preferred a stronger curry flavor though. The noodles were homemade, flat and medium-thick with a strong texture, and the wheat aroma was strong enough to compete with the curry scent. The noodles paired well with the soup! The chashu pork had a strong flavor and a tender texture, making it a high-quality topping. The crunchy texture of the kaiware daikon, mizuna, and green onions was very pleasing, and the curry tied everything together nicely. Overall, it was a dish that satisfied all the senses.

I visited the restaurant during lunchtime on a weekday. I arrived 8 minutes before opening time, but the restaurant was already open. There was one other customer already seated. The owner of the restaurant is said to be from the famous Osaka restaurant "Kinsei Sokenke." The interior of the restaurant has 3 counter seats, 3 tables for 2 people each. There are partitions between the counter seats, providing a spacious seating arrangement. While there were some signs of aging, the place was clean and well-maintained. The lighting was a bit dim. I ordered the "Shiro Shoyu Ramen for 900 yen." The ramen arrived in about 5 minutes. The soup had a delicious combination of chicken umami and seafood flavors, gently spreading through the body. The addition of large shiso leaves provided a nice accent, adding depth to the overall flavor. The thick, flat noodles were cooked to the right firmness, offering a chewy texture and a pleasant mouthfeel. The toppings included pork belly, menma, bean sprouts, shiso, and green onions. The pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a noticeable sweetness from the fatty parts. The shiso played a significant role in enhancing the dish, although some people may find it unnecessary. Overall, it was a bowl of ramen that struck a perfect balance between being gentle and flavorful. As I left, the restaurant was full, indicating its popularity. Thank you for the meal.

White soy sauce ramen for 900 yen. Open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 11am to 3pm. Arrived at 13:05 on a weekday, with 3 people waiting in line. It was a pretty hot day, but there was an arcade that provided some shade. Entered the restaurant at 13:21. There are 3 counter seats and 3 tables for 2 people. The menu includes ramen in Japanese soy sauce, salt, white soy sauce, and curry flavors, as well as tsukemen. Toppings such as flavored egg, seasoned bamboo shoots, and pork slices are available, along with pork bowl and dumpling sets. The ramen arrived at 13:28, with clear soup, shiny oil, pork slices, bean sprouts, shiso leaves, seasoned bamboo shoots, fish cake, and seaweed. The soup had a rich chicken and seafood flavor with a nice balance of dashi and saltiness. The white soy sauce added a gentle touch to the broth. The homemade noodles were chewy and slightly flat, complementing the soup perfectly. The pork slices were tender and flavorful, and the seasoned bamboo shoots were plentiful. Overall, a delicious and satisfying bowl of ramen. Finished every last drop of soup.

I arrived at the restaurant around 2 pm on August 22nd. Despite it being a weekday afternoon, there were still about 3 people waiting outside. It was my first visit, so I ordered the recommended white soy sauce ramen with a boiled egg. While waiting, they took my order, and soon after I sat down, they brought out the ramen. The taste was unique, like a blend of soy sauce and salt ramen, but it was more than just mixing the two. They managed to reduce the heaviness of soy sauce and bring out the flavor of salt and broth, which was very intriguing. It was also very delicious.

I'm not a big fan of thick noodles, but this place has a light soup that doesn't feel heavy in the stomach. The soup is light but still delicious and the noodles are nicely coated. The chashu is not the rare type that I dislike, but made with good quality pork. I tried the most popular dish, the white soy sauce ramen, and the shiso was a nice touch! It's a bit challenging to go during weekdays for lunch, but it's nice to have the privilege to visit different places.

Perfect for the scorching heat, I decided on the light tasting white soy sauce dipping noodles with a flavored egg. It had been quite a while since my last visit. After some hesitation, I settled on the white soy sauce dipping noodles. - The dipping sauce was pleasantly light and easy to eat, especially when combined with the various condiments. - The noodles were similar to udon and paired well with the dipping sauce. - Even the regular serving size was quite filling. Next time, I might go for the curry, which I haven't had in a while...

The menu was quite extensive, but many reviewers seemed to be choosing the most popular item, the white soy sauce ramen. The rich bonito broth with a hint of shiso paired perfectly with the chewy thick noodles, creating a delicious combination. The large slices of chashu, with distinct lean and fatty parts, were a nice touch. The bold addition of fragrant shiso, green onions, and kaiware to the delicate soup was daring but well-balanced, making it perfect for adjusting the flavor. I went around 11:30 and was able to get in without waiting, but by noon, there were 7-8 people in line, so timing is crucial. Be careful with the parking lot, as I parked at a random coin parking thinking it wouldn't be expensive, but it ended up costing 600 yen! The famous Kansai Ramen Bot recommended the curry ramen, so I'm aiming to try that next time.

Ordered salt ramen and white soy sauce ramen, pedaled my bike for over 2 hours just like yesterday, and arrived at Ibaraki Station again! The goal was to visit the famous ramen shop called Raamen Shin at Ibaraki Station. Yesterday, I mistakenly went there on their day off and left empty-handed, so I made sure they were open today and visited. I arrived at 11:10 AM, and there were already two people waiting in line by the time I got there, which made me realize that if I had arrived any later, I would have had to wait for a long time. Phew, that was close! Luckily, I made it in time without having to wait for too long. I quickly made my way inside and was greeted by the friendly owner and staff. I ordered the salt ramen and white soy sauce ramen because I had sweated a lot from biking and needed some salt. After gulping down some water to quench my thirst, the salt ramen was served first. The beautiful amber-colored soup looked amazing, and the taste was simply outstanding. The simple yet rich flavor of the broth with a hint of yuzu was delicious. The thin noodles had a chewy texture and went down smoothly. The chashu pork was tender and flavorful, and the green onions and bean sprouts added a nice crunch. The refreshing aroma of yuzu enhanced the overall taste of the ingredients. It was truly a delicious salt ramen. Then, it was time for the white soy sauce ramen. Oh my, this one looked just as beautiful! The broth had a good umami flavor with a subtle soy sauce and plum acidity. The thick, flat noodles were my favorite, and they had a smooth and chewy texture that paired well with the broth. The carefully prepared ingredients reflected the owner's dedication and kindness. Both ramen dishes were incredibly delicious, and I was very satisfied. The atmosphere of the shop, including the Naruto fish cakes, added to the overall experience. Feeling energized from the amazing meal, I was ready to pedal my bike for another two hours back home. As I was about to leave, I saw about 8 people waiting in line outside the shop. Phew, I narrowly avoided a long wait this time! It was a great victory!

++++++++++++Curry Ramen 900 yen++++++++++++ Toppings include chashu, menma, kaiware, and negi. The noodles are homemade medium-thin straight noodles. The soup is a curry based on chicken and seafood.========================= Sunny Saturday. Arrived around 11:40. No line. Miraculously no previous customers. Served in about 6 minutes. By the time the dish arrived, the place was full.+++++++++++++++++++++++++ Today, second stop for consecutive meals. Normally there would be a line, but there wasn't, so I entered immediately! Now, onto the tasting. The gentle curry flavor spreads in the mouth with a spicy kick, dangerously delicious! When you order this type of ramen, the usual thing is for the whole place to smell like curry, but not here! Even with others having soy sauce or salt, it doesn't interfere with the flavor. Amazing. Some kind of magic, right? The noodles are homemade, smooth surface, good chewiness, fragrant wheat, and they mix well with the soup. The chashu is medium-thick, slightly thick, tender, and well-seasoned, GOOD! The crunchiness of the negi and kaiware is nice. Truly impressive. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal. By the time I left, there were 6 people waiting outside. I was lucky this time.♥ ###### Shop Information ####### Approx. 4 minutes walk from Ibaraki Station on the JR Kyoto Line 2-5-24 Ekimae, Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture ● Business hours: 11:00-14:30, 18:00-22:00 Closed on Sundays Regular holidays: Monday, 2nd Tuesday of the month ️No free parking. When I went to Ramen Mabijin, there was a line, so I decided to try it on my way back. I entered the restaurant around 2:15 and there was no wait. I tried the white soy sauce ramen with thick noodles and the salt ramen with thin noodles, along with some gyoza. The white soy sauce ramen had a light yet rich flavor with a good amount of oil and depth. The chashu was tender and melted in my mouth, even with just two slices it was satisfying. The latter half of the ramen had a nice accent with the aroma of shiso leaves. I would like to try it with thin noodles next time. The salt ramen had a simple taste, allowing the broth to stand out. I personally prefer the thin noodles. The gyoza, topped with yuzu, were small but delicious, and six pieces for three hundred yen. The staff at the restaurant were friendly, so I would like to visit again.

I stopped by this compact restaurant just before 2 pm on a scorching hot day when I had the chance to visit nearby. There was only one person waiting, and I was able to enter without waiting for more than 5 minutes. The popular dish here is the white soy sauce ramen, but because it was too hot, I opted for the dipping white soy sauce ramen with a boiled egg topping. Recently, there have been many rich dipping noodles, but here, the dipping sauce doesn't require adding soup. The thick flat noodles hold their own, and with the addition of shiso leaf and yuzu, it's refreshing and very Japanese. The surprising part was the chashu. It was incredibly tender, almost melting in the mouth. I can't quite explain it, but I think this dish is well-balanced and delicious. I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for the meal.

A few minutes north of JR Tsukimibashi Station is Ramen Hyakumeiten. It used to only be open for lunch on weekdays, but recently they have started opening on Saturdays too, making it more convenient to visit. At 12:50, there was a 6-person wait. I was able to get in by 1:00. When I looked back, there was no wait, so I should have come a bit later. They have counter and table seating, but the signal for cell phones was bad. I ordered the curry tsukemen for 1000 yen. The curry dipping sauce was generous and had a spicy curry soup. The noodles are homemade and resemble whole wheat flat noodles. Even though they were mixed with curry, the noodles didn't taste spicy at all. The chashu had some fatty parts and was delicious. There were many female customers that day, including solo female diners and female groups. Last time I had the white shoyu ramen, but this time I tried the curry because it seemed popular. I think I preferred the white shoyu ramen. I plan to try something different next time.

Ordered menu: White soy sauce ramen 900 yen, half-boiled seasoned egg 100 yen Located in a shopping street a 3-minute walk from JR Ibaraki Station. I drove there, but there was no parking nearby, so it took a little time to find a parking spot. Since it was a late hour, I was able to enter without waiting. The interior had counter seats and table seats. The ramen was served in about 5 minutes. The soup was clear and transparent, with a clean umami from the broth and a rich umami from the chicken, creating a firm and satisfying taste. The sweet and mellow white soy sauce combined with a depth of flavor, making it delicious! The wheat-flavored straight thick noodles were chewy with a good mouthfeel, and had a firmness and glossiness that felt very pleasant in the throat. Toppings included chashu, white leeks, kaiware radish, shiso leaf, naruto fish cake, and seaweed. The chashu was thick and tender with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a rich meaty flavor. The seasoned egg had a creamy yolk with a subtle seasoning that was delicious! The refreshing aroma of shiso leaf added a nice accent. Although the shop only operates during weekday lunches, it was a challenging place to visit, but I was able to enjoy a satisfying bowl of ramen. Thank you for the meal.

Ramen shop located about a 2-3 minute walk from JR Tsukimi Station East Exit. Arrived around 1pm on a weekday and luckily there was one seat available. Ordered the most popular dish, the White Soy Sauce Ramen with extra noodles for 1000 yen. The soup looks like a salt ramen soup but it's a clear and flavorful soy sauce soup. Very delicious. The noodles are thick and flat, with a good texture that goes well with the soup. The chashu pork releases a lot of flavor when you chew it, making it quite tasty. Maybe I should have ordered the chashu pork noodles instead. Overall, it's a very well-made ramen dish.

Among the many popular ramen shops in Ibaraki City, this place is delicious and I have visited it several times! The most popular dish, white soy sauce ramen, has a gentle seafood flavor base. The thick slices of chashu are tender and delicious! The thick noodles are well coated with the flavor, making it a satisfying bowl. The restaurant has about 10 seats, but if you time it right, you can get in without much of a wait. I have tried various popular ramen shops in Ibaraki, but for me, this place is the best!

White soy sauce ramen for 900 yen, with an option for extra noodles for 100 yen. It comes with two thick slices of chashu. It's rare to see shiso leaves and daikon in ramen, but it adds a unique touch. The soup is light, gentle, and has a deep flavor. It's so delicious that I end up finishing every last drop. Even though the noodles are thick, they go perfectly with the soup. I was worried it might be too heavy, but the taste and portion size were just right. This place is seriously delicious. #RamenShin #WhiteSoySauceRamen #IbarakiCityGourmet

When you come to Ibuki City, this shop is a must-visit with a high probability. I've been coming here since it opened. I ordered the "dipping-style Japanese soy sauce ramen." The perfectly balanced dipping sauce with a hint of acidity, paired with chewy homemade noodles that are satisfying to slurp. I love meat, and this noodle dish is fantastic. The bowl also matches perfectly.

I entered the arcade in front of Ibuki Station today, it was raining. I was unsure whether to use an umbrella for the short distance from the station exit to the arcade. I ordered the most popular white soy sauce ramen. The restaurant was full even though it was past 11 o'clock. The soup had a transparent quality, and the noodles were chewy thick noodles. The chashu was tender but still held its shape, and there was a small naruto along with clams, red pickled radish, shinchiku, and green onions. It was a sophisticated bowl of ramen.
