花ちゃんDON!
One of the shops I was interested in. Around 8:00 pm, I visited by myself. When I entered the shop, there was a group of customers at the table seats. I sat at the counter seats that were available. First, I ordered the Wednesday special craft beer (usually 580 yen, but 300 yen on Wednesdays). The cute glass and fine bubbles were nice. The beer had a good aroma and was easy to drink. The complimentary dish was a warm kasujiru soup. It was like a miso soup with sake lees, burdock, root vegetables, and thick pork belly, which warmed me up. A delightful complimentary dish. The dishes I had were: - Salted koji celery - Assorted tuna sashimi - Duck tataki I first chose the salted koji celery from the menu of dishes that can be prepared quickly. There was quite a bit of it. It seemed like just salted koji and celery mixed together. The crunchy and fresh texture of the celery was really good, and the mild saltiness was just right. Next, the assorted tuna sashimi. From left to right: tuna collar, seared cheek meat, raw tuna eye, and green onion and toro wrapped in seaweed. Starting with the tuna collar, it was delicious with plenty of fat. The raw tuna eye had a bit of a chewy texture, but the more you chew, the more umami comes out. The seared tuna was fragrant and tasted like meat. The green onion and toro was undeniably delicious. Oh, tuna is so delicious. For the duck tataki... I thought it would come with duck meatballs ^^; (Have I been going to yakitori restaurants too much?) Tataki... ah, this type, right? Well, I like this too. It seemed like they served a slightly smaller portion of the duck tataki than usual. It had a slightly sweet ponzu sauce, which was also delicious. For the tuna, I thought sake would be perfect, so I ordered: - Kamemitsu (junmai sake) 1 go (180 ml) 750 yen I remembered Kamemitsu as a perfect dry and rich sake for meals... but for some reason, it didn't come out right away... why? When I looked at the menu, it said "warmed sake" ^^; So I received the Kamemitsu warmed. Although it was warmed, Kamemitsu was quite crisp and dry, which went perfectly with the meal. While drinking, I looked at the menu and found that they had Hoppy! I had to order it...! I had already ordered sake, but I also asked for Hoppy. They brought a glass with shochu and ice inside. I poured the Hoppy outside into the glass and topped it up. It was a unique way of serving. I chose tofu and egg from the oden as a side dish for the Hoppy (each 150 yen). It was piping hot, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. The total bill was a little over 4000 yen. Considering the quality and quantity of the dishes, it was reasonable. By pushing with Hoppy, I could have a satisfying dinner for about 3000 yen. A very good shop, I liked it. I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal!
