ZABAZBAINC. I'm the vice president Kurakura. Cheers without sugar. The classic gyoza is a must. Oh, yes. Also the shumai. This day is all about appetizers. It's quick but there are plenty of options and the seating is spacious, so it seems like a great place for various occasions. Well then.

In February, I visited a restaurant at 7:00 PM and there were no customers. Location: 10 minutes walk from Nankai Namba Station. Interior: Counter seats, table seats, private rooms. Food: Gyoza, ramen, Chinese cuisine. Budget: 2000-3000 yen. Smoking: Completely non-smoking. Stayed for 50 minutes. The best way to eat gyoza is without anything, with salt and pepper, or with sauce, but eating it without anything was the most delicious. They also offer all-you-can-drink courses. Thank you for the meal!

Gyoza King is listed on TripAdvisor and usually filled with foreigners, but due to the impact of COVID-19, it was quiet when I visited. The menu was noticeably reduced. I ordered pan-fried gyoza, deep-fried gyoza, potato salad, and Sichuan style chicken. The gyoza was crispy and delicious, and the deep-fried gyoza was also good. The Sichuan style chicken was tasty but a bit tough in some parts, not as tender as I usually like. Overall, I was satisfied with the food and would come back again.

I had some time so I went into this restaurant. Since I have plans afterwards, I couldn't eat a lot, so I ordered char siu and dumplings to share. The char siu was thinly sliced and tasted like roasted pork, it was so delicious that I wanted to order more! The filling of the dumplings wasn't that different, but it was very juicy and tasty. The staff recommended eating it with salt, so I tried it with the salt provided on the plate, and it was amazing! I ate everything with just salt and no sauce. I want to make time to come back and try more dishes slowly next time! Thank you for the meal! ♡

I was able to visit for the second time. I heard that this restaurant is affiliated with the famous Osaka Oh's chain. There are both counter seats and table seats, and we sat at a table. We ordered gyoza, shrimp gyoza, and xiaolongbao. The staff were Chinese and a bit awkward in taking orders. The gyoza was cooked perfectly, with a nice garlic flavor and very juicy. It was delicious even without dipping sauce. It's no surprise that it's affiliated with Osaka Oh's, as it was really tasty. The shrimp gyoza had plump shrimp with a sweet taste that we couldn't get enough of. In the end, we ended up ordering more gyoza and both of us had some sake, so we ended up staying for quite a while. The gyoza was truly delicious!

The restaurant has a rating of 4.5 on TripAdvisor, attracting mainly Western customers and foreign travelers. Upon entering, we encountered some confusion with two young female customers, but the staff kindly guided us inside. We were seated at a table with another group, but there was no interaction between us. We ordered wine, famous grilled and steamed dumplings, and enjoyed the meal. The most popular dish seemed to be the fried chicken, which was a generous portion. The miso soup and black edamame were also popular choices. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.

Visited the restaurant on a weekday at the end of January 2020. I came here today at the request of my junior colleague H. We entered at 6:45 PM and were seated at the counter with about 50% of the seats filled. We started with draft beer and ordered 3 servings of grilled dumplings. The recommended way to eat them is to generously coat them with the homemade chili oil mentioned on a TV show. The dumplings were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and tasted great with the special chili oil. It wasn't as spicy as expected, so even those who don't like spicy food can enjoy it by mixing it with the sauce. The steamed dumplings were served with ponzu sauce, and the fried dumplings with tea salt, but the grilled dumplings were the most delicious. All the dumplings paired well with the chili oil. Thank you for the meal! It was very delicious today as well.

The other day, while talking about Osaka Ohsho in Itami at work, my colleague Motoyan quietly said, "I feel like eating gyoza." Alright! Let's go eat gyoza then! And so, we visited Gyoza Oh, a restaurant that is a part of the Osaka Ohsho chain known for their superbly grilled gyoza. The menu is more like that of a gyoza izakaya, offering a wide variety of options. We arrived at around 6 pm and made a reservation in advance due to the crowded atmosphere. The restaurant was about 60% full. We were greeted and seated by a cheerful male staff member. It seemed like we were the only Japanese customers among the diverse crowd of Chinese, American, French, and British patrons. So, let's cheers to that! The items we ordered, as chosen by my colleague who was craving gyoza, were as follows: Food Consumed: - Black Edamame 390 yen - Tomato Carpaccio 390 yen - Specialty Grilled Gyoza x3 390 yen each - Fried Gyoza with Kyoto Matcha Salt 390 yen - Steamed Gyoza with Sesame Ponzu Sauce 390 yen - Grilled Beef Tendon 490 yen - Specialty Fried Chicken 690 yen - Super Fresh Crunchy Potato Fries 450 yen Drinks Consumed: - Draft Beer 580 yen - Plain Sour 390 yen - Osaka Kawachi Wine, Golden Tokubetsu Delaware Grape Wine 480 yen Feedback on the Food: - Black Edamame: Standard edamame, warm and satisfying. - Tomato Carpaccio: Not something I would usually order, but my colleague made a good choice. - Specialty Grilled Gyoza: Not as good as Osaka Ohsho in Itami, but still had a nice grilled texture and a slightly strong filling. Tasted great with rock salt or chili oil. - Fried Gyoza with Kyoto Matcha Salt: It had a nice crispy texture, and the matcha salt was a good touch. - Steamed Gyoza with Sesame Ponzu Sauce: The sesame ponzu sauce was delicious, and the gyoza skin was soft and chewy. - Grilled Beef Tendon: A light and tasty dish, perfect for pairing with drinks. - Super Fresh Crunchy Potato Fries: Thick-cut fries with a crunchy exterior and fluffy interior, seasoned with a slightly strong seaweed salt. - Specialty Fried Chicken: Large pieces of juicy fried chicken thigh with a crispy coating. Simply delicious! Overall, despite having an izakaya-like atmosphere, the gyoza at Gyoza Oh was truly delicious, especially the grilled gyoza. Eating tasty gyoza in such an international setting was a great experience! Thank you for the meal!

After the first party at Sakaichibana and the second party at a French oden and doteyaki restaurant called Shichien, all the girls left to go home. Afterwards, they headed to a ramen shop because just eating and leaving felt a bit lonely. First, cheers! A glass of draft beer for 500 yen (excluding tax) is not too bad for a lively area, but still relatively pricey. Some snacks for the drinks, the famous grilled dumplings for 390 yen (excluding tax) times three orders. Compared to Gyoza no Ohsho, it's quite a price, but they are well grilled, so I quite like the dumplings here. The local cycling patrol team seems to have lost their momentum from earlier, with the masochistic girlfriend missing and the blonde troublemaker looking lonely or perhaps just yawning from tiredness. The blonde troublemaker is now engaging in erotic talk with a new target, gazing into the distance. Thank you for the delicious drinks. It was a great meal. On a side note, since everyone seems to be so lonely, maybe they should all spend more time together and have fun.

Today we visited our 5th restaurant - it was recommended, but let's try to refrain from going out from now on. There were 3 of us. There were a lot of foreign customers, so the service tended to be more operation-like. We started with a toast with draft beer for 500 yen, and had some delicious garlic-flavored grilled dumplings for 390 yen. The atmosphere was lively and the staff were talkative. It's time to head home now. Thank you for the meal!

Today's sixth stop. As a way to finish off, I wanted to eat ramen or udon! When I requested it, the restaurant was a gyoza place (laughs). They had ramen on the menu, but since I also love gyoza, I ordered gyoza and beer. The gyoza was beautifully cooked, with three servings. Wow, they looked so delicious (*´-`) The chili oil here is the kind with bits of chili pepper, which I like. When I took a bite, it wasn't as good as Osho, but it was quite tasty (in my opinion). It had a good amount of garlic and was delicious! There were many tourists (white people) as customers, it seems?! I had a great time this day (*´-`) Thank you for entertaining me and for the meal m(__)m.

Shop data Shop name: Gyoza Oudou Dotonbori Store Address: 2-4-14 Dotonbori, Chuo-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka Access: 3 minutes walk from Namba Station Phone number: 06-6210-4403 Regular holiday: None Tabelog page: https://tabelog.com/osaka/A2701/A270202/27101119/ Dotonbori "Gyoza O" offers a great value all-you-can-drink course for 3000 yen!! The other day, I was tasked with finding a venue for a work-related drinking party with the condition of "3000 yen all-you-can-drink in Namba," which was quite a challenging requirement. As an adult, and especially as a gourmet blogger, I knew that just saying "I booked a chain store" would be disappointing. So, I racked my brain and remembered that Dotonbori's "Gyoza O" offers an all-you-can-drink course. The restaurant has private rooms with sunken kotatsu tables, which was perfect, and I was also craving their grilled dumplings. Moreover, the all-you-can-drink includes 7 dishes, including ice cream, with decent portion sizes! The drink menu is extensive, featuring draft beer, the famous homemade apple vinegar highball, and other popular choices. It's a pretty satisfying all-you-can-drink plan. The appetizers included a variety of dishes like bean sprout namul and cucumber, followed by a tomato salad to get some vegetable intake. The steamed dumplings were served with homemade ponzu sauce, and the grilled dumplings, a specialty of the restaurant, were large and juicy, filled with cabbage and ginger. The creative "Gyo-pey-yaki" dumplings were like a savory pancake with dumpling filling inside the egg. The restaurant's signature chicken Karaage was a favorite among everyone. Lastly, we enjoyed vanilla ice cream for dessert. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable drinking party.

The restaurant had a cafe-like interior and was full of overseas customers when I visited, which made me briefly think I had come to the wrong place. The menu offered a surprising mix of Japanese and Western dishes like beef stew and mackerel sushi. The dumplings had a strong garlic punch, so it's probably best not to eat them the day before work!

This is before the outbreak of the new coronavirus. For the second round in Namba, Osaka, I chose this place next door. It's a gyoza izakaya called "Gyoza O," a next brand of the famous Osaka chain "Osaka O." They advertise heavily for inbound customers and the satisfaction of foreign customers who actually visited seems to be high, as there were mostly foreigners in the restaurant when we visited, coming from various countries. The person next to me said they were from the Netherlands. Many of the staff members are fluent in English, so it's understandable why they would be satisfied. As for the gyoza itself, it feels a bit inferior compared to "Osaka O." The other menu items are typical izakaya fare.

On the eve of a holiday when you don't have to worry about the smell of garlic, let's make our first visit. Let's have a draft beer and two orders of gyoza. The menu has a lot of foreign words. The percentage of inbound customers in the store is quite high. The gyoza cooks up pretty quickly. The well-seared crust is nice. The skin is tightly closed, not letting out any flavor. Let's try the rock salt on the table. Wow, the sweetness of the cabbage in the gyoza filling stands out. It's like sprinkling salt on watermelon. This way of eating is also good. Of course, vinegar soy sauce and chili oil are also good. Let's visit again before the holiday.

Yesterday, I went to Arima Onsen in the morning and returned to JR Namba by bus as the sun was setting. I felt like eating gyoza for dinner, so I searched nearby and found Gyoza Odotonbori Honten right near JR Namba Station. It is said to be the second brand of Osaka Oh, known for their delicious gyoza. Since I had enjoyed Osaka Oh's gyoza before, I had high expectations and decided to go there. I started by ordering the pan-fried gyoza, which you can eat with either vinegar soy sauce or Mongolian salt. It was my first time eating gyoza with salt, but it was surprisingly delicious. I also noticed a rice dish called TKG with negi salt sauce, so I decided to try that as well. TKG stands for "tamago kake gohan" which is rice with raw egg. It had a lot of negi, but surprisingly, it went well with the rice. The rice was seasoned with salt sauce instead of the usual soy sauce, but it was also very tasty. Of course, I also ordered the karaage. I had already eaten some before taking the photo, so there is one less piece shown. It was a large and juicy karaage, just as I had expected. The atmosphere had a casual izakaya vibe, different from the traditional Osaka Oh. They had a variety of sake from Osaka, making it a great place to enjoy gyoza with some drinks. I'm thinking of bringing some friends who enjoy drinking next time.

Hmm... When it comes to Gyoza-Oh, it is the second brand store of Osaka-Oh! It was selected for the first time in the Kansai area Gyoza genre in the Michelin Guide (2016 Hyogo Special Edition), just like Osaka-Oh Itami store, and is a shop that focuses on gyoza owned by the same company. The regular pan-fried gyoza (280 yen) was delicious, but the new menu vegetable gyoza (480 yen) was too bad (lol). Probably because the vegetables had too much moisture, it was soggy and the skin was also soggy... The staff was energetic and seemed to be working hard on customer service, but it's a shame that this new menu vegetable gyoza alone left a bad impression! It would be better to immediately discontinue it or renew it, right!? By the way, Gyoza no Osho was created by relatives of the founder of Gyoza no Osho who went independent to create Osaka-Oh. The second brand of Osaka-Oh is Gyoza-Oh, and the names of the restaurants are similar and there is a connection between them. #Gyoza #PanFriedGyoza #GyozaOh #OsakaOh #MichelinGuide #OsakaOhsho #GyozaNoOhsho #FounderRelationship

Today I ended up at Gyoza-Oh in Dotonbori, so I ordered a clam soup, grilled gyoza, and tofu salad. I forgot to take a picture of the tofu salad (cries). The restaurant had a lot of foreign customers, and the staff were from Taiwan. It's more like an izakaya than a gyoza specialty shop, but the clean and stylish interior makes it a good choice for a trendy izakaya experience.

Today, it was a cold day with snow falling at last (ノД`). So, for the 4th dumpling review, we have Gyoza King Dotonbori Main Store. I found this place while wandering around Dotonbori and searching for dumpling restaurants on Tabelog (^O^)/ When I arrived at the restaurant, I was honestly not expecting much because the curtain at the entrance didn't look like that of an authentic dumpling shop. I sat at the counter and ordered a draft beer and some dumplings (^O^)/ One of the great things about eating dumplings in Osaka is that unlike Kobe gyoza, there's no restriction on ordering only 1 or 2 servings per person. If the dumplings are delicious, you can't help but order more, so I think this restriction is unnecessary. As I mentioned earlier, I really wasn't expecting much from the dumplings here, but when I tried them, they were really delicious, so much so that I ended up ordering more (*≧∀≦*) I also ordered some sliced new onions and homemade ponzu sauce on the side. In addition to the delicious dumplings, the staff at this restaurant are very friendly and energetic, which deserves high praise for their customer service ╰(*´︶`*)╯♡ Writing this review makes me want to go back there after a long time (๑>◡<๑)
