It was so hot that I couldn't resist stopping by "Amagori" (shaved ice) for a moment. They freeze strawberries without using any water or ice, and then shave them to create a crunchy shaved ice. The combination of the heat and the delicious strawberry flavor immediately cooled me down! It was a truly amazing treat. I highly recommend stopping by this place if you're nearby this summer. I had been wanting to try Doraking Ace for a while, so I went to Itokin to buy it. However, they were sold out, so I ended up buying Doraking Namatamago, Doraking Matcha, and Doraking Salt Vanilla, with 4 of each. I gave them to a girl who helped me in the field as a conversation topic and souvenir. The price was a bit high for just one coin, but it was worth it. Everyone seemed satisfied and thankful, saying it was delicious. I wish the price was a bit cheaper so I could buy some for my family too, but I'll definitely buy it next time.

I visited in order to eat Amaou strawberries at their place. I was relieved to find an eat-in space available. I ordered a Dorakingu strawberry candy and my friend ordered an Ama Gori smoothie and panna cotta. The strawberry candy had juicy and sweet strawberries with a crispy candy coating, very delicious. The Dorakingu had a gentle sweetness of the bean paste, complemented by the refreshing strawberries. It was delicious. The strawberries were seriously delicious!

When I first visited, I fell in love with the atmosphere of the store, the deliciousness of the sweet bean jelly, and the cost performance, so whenever I visited Fukuoka, I made sure to stop by. During the pandemic, the dining area was closed, but now that it has reopened, I decided to visit. However, it had changed to a style where you order on the first floor and carry your items to the second floor yourself. It no longer had the cozy café space from before, but had become just an eat-in corner. The carpet was visibly dirty, and the sparkle it once had was gone, leaving me feeling disappointed. It no longer felt like a place I would eagerly return to in the future.

I was doing a pop-up at Shin-Maruko Station. I was surprised to find that I could eat shaved ice here in Shin-Maruko, as I had previously only been able to eat it in Fukuoka where it is popular. The popular custard flavor was sold out, but this shaved ice seemed to be selling out quickly while I was running errands. ⭐️ Review: Shaved ice with whole strawberries. You can enjoy the slightly tart Amaou strawberries in their cold form. It seemed like they accidentally made it with less condensed milk, so I asked for extra. It was a bit hard, possibly due to being prepared for takeout or the lack of condensed milk, but it started to melt easily when I scooped it with a spoon, making it easier to eat. The lower amount of condensed milk brought out the tartness of the strawberries more, and it was a bit less soft, but I think it allowed the strawberry's tartness to shine through. I prefer sweeter flavors, but I still enjoyed the Amaou strawberries.

I went to the store that was tweeted by the manager of Seishun no Hikari, The Moritou, Yamane Hiromasa. It seems to be a different store from where Yamane-san went, but I decided to buy a dorayaki. The ace flavor was sold out, so I bought matcha flavor instead. I got it as a takeout with a cooling pack from the staff, and ate it a few hours later. It was delicious.

I've been here a few times, but I want to emphasize again. In Fukuoka, there are several branches of Itoking. When you come here, don't miss out on their seasonal limited edition (from winter to the end of May), the Draking Sho. It's a dorayaki with a whole Amaou strawberry inside. The strawberry is delicious, of course, but the dorayaki dough, red bean paste filling, and cream are all too delicious. Seriously, it's mind-blowing every time. The best dorayaki I've ever had. It's a shame you can't order it online. It's a sweet treat that you can only enjoy in Fukuoka, but I highly recommend it. If you love strawberries, you'll definitely love it. It's not too sweet, and I think it appeals to people of all ages and genders.

I bought the Dorayaki "Shio Vanilla" to take home. I usually don't like dorayaki, but someone recommended this one for delivery! The Shio Vanilla flavor is delicious. The sweetness of Amaou strawberries and the vanilla flavor are perfectly balanced with salt. It doesn't taste like a typical dorayaki, but it might be the best one yet.

Due to the pandemic, I couldn't dine in and the menu was limited, so I ordered a takeout amaou strawberry smoothie. The moment it touched my lips, the strawberry flavor spread, rich and sweet-sour with a perfect balance - not too sweet! I've tried various strawberry drinks, but this one is the best by far! I can't drink any others now. I want to have this every day.

This time, I would like to introduce Fukuoka gourmet food! I bought it as a souvenir from Fukuoka! I tried it myself, and it was incredibly delicious! It was filled with plenty of cream, and the dough was fluffy and chewy, making it very tasty. I will definitely buy it again when I visit Fukuoka!

Hakata Amabi (mini), Doraking Ace. It's like a warabi mochi. When it's mini, you have to cut it yourself. It's topped with condensed milk and soybean flour, but I prefer it without toppings. Child B thinks soybean flour goes well with it. As for Doraking, I didn't really taste the strawberry, but it had plenty of cream.

I used a souvenir on this day. I often visit Itoking. The cream and red bean paste look heavy, but surprisingly easy to eat. It contains Amaou strawberries, so people from outside the prefecture will be pleased. I didn't buy any for myself this day, but I will definitely buy some next time. I will visit again!!

Nowadays, a famous souvenir in Fukuoka for the summer is the Hakata Amabie shop. The second installment of the irregular limited edition Amo strawberry chunk chocolate series. (The first installment was white chocolate) The Amo strawberry chunk chocolate (high cacao 70%) 450g for 3500 yen is quite a luxurious strawberry chocolate. The combination of bitter chocolate and the sweet and sourness of Amo strawberries is quite nice, but be careful not to eat too much. Fukuoka is my personal favorite spot. Whenever I visit Fukuoka, I always make sure to stop by. My main reason for visiting is to enjoy the ama-gori at the cafe on the second floor. However, due to COVID-19 measures, the cafe on the second floor was closed. But I was able to get ama-gori for takeout at the chairs placed at the corner of the first floor shop. I hope they reopen soon.
