It's been about 10 years since I last came here. I noticed that now you can't freely take eggs, and the saltiness of the beef tongue was a bit light this time. I wish there was some extra salt on the table. However, it's great to be able to easily eat beef tongue during this period of high prices. The thick and fluffy fried horse mackerel was delicious. It felt like a dining experience at a fish market. The grated yam, pickles, barley rice, and these were surprisingly the most delicious. Even though I have a small appetite, I couldn't resist getting seconds. Thank you for the meal!

Title: I understand the feeling of writing this title, but there are also considerations on my end. I want to eat, but I also have my own constraints.
I visited a beef tongue specialty store on a weekday morning after the Bon holidays at the Aeon Mall Chikushino near my home. The restaurant area in the mall has about ten food establishments, and I usually use them for lunch.
I had never eaten at this store before, and even though my budget was limited, I tried to find something within my means. The staff kept insisting on recommending the beef tongue, despite my order of the chicken tempura set. It made me feel uncomfortable.
The unexpectedly large chicken tempura was juicy and had a good salty flavor, but it was clear that it was frozen and fried. The side vegetables and the option of salt were nice additions.
I was puzzled by the raw egg provided – I had never seen anyone dip chicken tempura in raw egg. The miso soup was average, and the rice portion was not enough for a refill, despite the sign saying it was free.
The elderly customers in the restaurant seemed to be pushed to order the beef tongue as well. The staff's persistent recommendation of the beef tongue significantly affected my evaluation due to their service.

On the second day of the consecutive holidays, I went out to Aeon Mall Chikushino in Chikushino City. Since I had enjoyed Kurume Night until late the previous day, I started my Friday a bit late. I had a meal at Umayai Aeon Mall Chikushino store, where I ordered a luxurious set meal with beef tongue, chicken cutlet, grated yam, egg, miso soup, pickles, and barley rice. The chicken cutlet was crispy, the beef tongue was delicious (although I wished there was a bit more), and the miso soup was a bit disappointing as it wasn't very hot. I was happy that I could get a refill of rice, so I ended up having rice with grated yam and rice with egg on top. I unexpectedly enjoyed the barley rice a lot!

JR Kyushu Food Service operates a creative cuisine restaurant called "Umayo." The name "Umayo" comes from the old reading of the kanji character "驛," which means "station" in the context of "駅." The specialty of the restaurant is the "Beef Tongue Set Meal," which consists of thinly sliced beef tongue lightly seared, served with barley rice and grated yam. This time, I ordered the luxurious and dreamy special menu item "Filet Cutlet Stew and Beef Tongue Barley Grated Yam Set Meal" for 1,158 yen. It featured a powerful combination of grilled beef tongue, hot filet cutlet topped with a runny egg, and barley rice with grated yam. It was delicious! I would love to try the dreamy menu item "Chicken Nanban and Beef Tongue Barley Grated Yam Set Meal" as well. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I had lunch here on the first day of Golden Week. I remember eating here in the underground shopping area in Hakata before. Well, it was the lunchtime of Golden Week, so I waited for about 30 minutes. I was guided to a tatami room, which was like a semi-private room, so I could relax. I chose the set meal with Chicken Nanban and tongue. The rice was barley rice. It comes with grated yam. There was a raw egg on the table, limited to one per person. The Chicken Nanban and tongue were okay for the price, but I appreciate being able to get refills of rice, grated yam, and the raw egg.

I visited the restaurant alone. I ordered a lunch set for around 2000 yen, which included beef tongue and grated yam. They also served rice and miso soup, and offered free refills. The food came out quickly and was delicious.

I am not someone who enjoys posting on food review websites, so I'll skip the unnecessary introduction. The beef tongue wasn't as juicy as expected. It's a mistake to expect too much from a chain restaurant. Overall, I was satisfied with the regular lunch.

The review of Chikushino continues, but they must have really liked it. There's a huge JUSCO (which many might not know). It was my first time there for dinner. I heard there are about 30 dining options alone... (゜ロ゜;ノ)ノ Wow, it's so cosmopolitan! Just walking around and looking at the shops was fun. You can see cafes everywhere as you walk. For dinner, I was trying to decide where to eat and ended up at the highly-rated "Umaya" restaurant. I love beef tongue. (*´∇`*) It seems to be a beef tongue and set meal restaurant. The atmosphere is chic Japanese style. It's like a tonkatsu chain restaurant. The staff even provided chairs, they are very kind. (*´∀`) The display of food samples in front of the shop looks delicious, and the set meal menu is extensive. After much deliberation, I ordered the "Tender Beef Tongue Cutlet and Beef Tongue with Grated Yam Set Meal" for about 1200 yen. There were several different set meals that combined beef tongue in various ways, making it a tough choice. In the end, I went for the luxurious option of beef tongue cutlet with salt and beef tongue with grated yam. The luxurious set meal arrived! Beef tongue, cutlet, barley rice, grated yam, miso soup, and even a raw egg as a bonus! d=(^o^)= The beef tongue was a bit small but flavorful. I squeezed lemon over it and enjoyed it with rice. The beef tongue cutlet was unique. It was my first time trying it. The crispy texture was gone, but it was interesting to discover how beef tongue tastes when fried. A must-try for those who like unusual foods! The grated yam, raw egg, and barley rice were also included. I chose barley rice. And a bonus raw egg! I mixed the precious raw egg into the rice without hesitation. (*^ー^)ノ♪ Then I added the slightly seasoned grated yam for a luxurious egg over rice. I had already eaten a lot of rice with the beef tongue, so I found the portion slightly lacking. A larger serving was necessary. It was delicious egg and grated yam over rice! (*´∇`*) The miso soup was also included. It was full of ingredients, with a large piece of pork. The miso was perfectly seasoned. The only slight disappointment was the beef tongue cutlet, but with the bonus raw egg and other delicious items, I enjoyed a satisfying and healthy meal. It had been a while since I had a beef tongue set meal, and I was very satisfied with this one, similar to the one from Hakata Kuuten Sendai's ○Kyu restaurant.

This is a restaurant directed by the third generation of Ichikawa Sarunoshin, located inside Aeon Mall Chikushino. I decided to have lunch here after shopping at the mall that day. The restaurant, mainly with table seating, offers various set meals and charcoal-grilled and creative dishes using Kyushu ingredients. I ordered the recommended dish by the staff, the charcoal-grilled beef tongue set meal. The set meal includes charcoal-grilled beef tongue, side dish, soup, pickles, rice, and grated yam for 1050 yen. I chose barley rice for the set meal. The side dish for that day was simmered hijiki, which complemented the meal perfectly. The soup was a vegetable soup with a light and elegant taste. As for the grated yam, I considered mixing it with rice to make yam rice, but decided to have it as a side dish that day. The main dish, beef tongue, was 80g of Hida beef tongue lightly seared, and you can add 200 yen to make it 120g. The restaurant is located on the first floor of Aeon Mall Chikushino. Uma-ya Aeon Mall Chikushino Branch Address: 434-1 Ryumeiji, Chikushino City, Tel: 092-401-1245, Business Hours: 10:00-23:00, Closed on days following Aeon Mall's schedule.

Today I went shopping at Chikushino Aeon. I got hungry!! The restaurants were all crowded, but I found a place called "Umayo" that serves beef tongue. I love beef tongue, but they also had fried oysters! I was so happy. I asked for both tartar sauce and regular sauce. The beef tongue was delicious and had a nice aroma. Today, the chicken nanban was also on sale for 100 yen off. It came with rice, miso soup, and pickles, and you could have seconds for free. Of course, I got more!

I visited "UmayA Ion Mall Chikushino Store" in Fukuoka Prefecture. The location is 434-1 Tateaki, Chikushino City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Ion Mall Chikushino 1F. The interior of the store has a counter, table seats, and a raised kotatsu-style seating area, creating a bright and calming atmosphere. I ordered the Soft Beef Tongue Cutlet & Grilled Beef Tongue MIX Set Meal (1050 yen) and a thickly sliced boiled beef tongue with a draft beer. The draft beer served in a glass was Super Dry. The Soft Beef Tongue Cutlet & Grilled Beef Tongue MIX Set Meal comes with a small side dish of nanban-zuke, and unlimited refills of rice, miso soup, and pickles. I chose barley rice as my rice option. The grilled beef tongue is thinly sliced and slightly curled. While it has a smoky flavor from the charcoal grilling, I found it lacking in juiciness. The Soft Beef Tongue Cutlet is like a minced beef tongue cutlet, crispy on the outside and occasionally offering a chewy texture of beef tongue. The thickly sliced boiled beef tongue is about 1cm thick and tender due to being boiled, lacking a bit in texture but pairs well with beer. There was a complimentary "Uchi no Tamago" (homegrown egg) on the table, and I used it to make egg over rice instead of barley rice. The egg was rich in flavor with a deep yellow yolk. Overall, while I have had better beef tongue dishes recently, the reasonable price and option for refills make it a good choice for lunch.

While in Chikushino, we decided to take the kids to the movie theater at Aeon Mall Chikushino. It's still new and clean, something that the local area doesn't have - a movie theater. For lunch, we went to "Umaya" located there. They have table seats and traditional sunken kotatsu seats, both creating a semi-private atmosphere that is quite relaxing even with kids. The restaurant was promoting their "Gyutan" (beef tongue), so I ordered the "Homemade Gyutan Croquette & Grilled Gyutan Mix Set" for 980 yen. The grilled Gyutan had a nice smoky flavor and was tender, while the croquette was delicious with a comforting taste. It wasn't a huge portion, but it was satisfying. The restaurant also had raw eggs on the table for free consumption (one per person), so I ended up making a Tamago Kake Gohan (egg over rice) with half of my rice. The reason I come to Umaya is for this dish. They offer coffee and soft drinks for 100 yen, which I couldn't resist ordering. The taste was standard for a drink bar, but it was appreciated. My wife had the "Chicken Cutlet Set" for 980 yen with our daughters. The chicken at Umaya is from Saga's "Mitase Chicken," and it never disappoints. The chicken cutlet was also delicious. Our daughters enjoyed their kids' lunch for 200 yen, which is a great deal. It's a different menu each week, and this time it was a Shinkansen (bullet train) plate. The portion was sufficient for our daughters, but it might be a bit small for older kids. Overall, we were satisfied with the meal. Umaya is a restaurant in a shopping mall, so they must have done a lot of research. The young staff, even though there were few of them on a weekday, were working efficiently and seemed to be giving their best. It's great to have restaurants like this for dining with kids.

The other day, when I went to Aeon Mall, I found a restaurant called "Umayo"! I thought it was just a regular set meal restaurant, but they had a menu item called stone-grilled curry that caught my interest, so I decided to try it. When I ordered the stone-grilled curry, it was too hot to eat at first, so I had to drink water immediately and couldn't taste it properly. But after letting it cool down a bit, I found that the combination of the egg yolk and curry was really delicious. I recommend it to those who love warm dishes and curry. Despite being hot, the stone-grilled curry was delicious.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was Japanese-style and a bit upscale, like a high-end set meal restaurant. I was seated at the counter and ordered the beef tongue set meal. The beef tongue and fish were grilled right in front of me, making me even hungrier. Finally, my beef tongue arrived. I squeezed the lemon on top, took a bite, and... the perfect balance of saltiness, acidity from the lemon, and the tenderness of the beef tongue matched well! You can choose between white rice and barley rice. I ordered barley rice. And you can get free refills of rice. This restaurant is recommended for big eaters or growing children.
